  • They burn the coconuts to caramelize the sugars in the juice, making it much sweeter than if you were to drink it raw. It's a practice in the Thai coconut industry there and they export it all through S.E. Asia.

  • The burning is for making coconut sweeter and more rich flavor, if you try it once you will understand that it’s different from the normal one, btw we make it cold before drinking. Pls try it if you come to Thailand. If you see round small shape, then it’s burn coconut, if it’s regular or pentagon shape cutting then it’s normal coconut.

  • We south pacific islanders just husk the coconuts and put it on ice. You can drink the juice with a straw. Just use the tip of the knife to remove one of the 3 soft parts at the tip. Afterwards, use the dull side of the knife to hit the center part through out the coconut and it will break into half. Get a spoon and eat the soft white part. When that is done we save the shells for using in our UMU outside kitchen for cooking or we can allow the inside part to harden and then we get the use the shreds for coconut milk for cooking and the shells can be used to make jewelry. We use every part of the tree as a matter of fact.

  • This really delecious cooked young coconut. Used for medecine purposes. Especially for breast feeding mom. You will have more milk to feed your baby. I remember my mother in law do this to me. And it's really work. ❤😊

  • I've always wondered how this drink is made. My favorite drink that they sell in the US is the roasted coconut juice with the pulp or bits of coconuts inside. It comes in a regular 12 ounce can and a 16 ounce can and both of bits of roasted coconuts chopped up inside the cans. They also have the young coconot juice with pulp also but it's not as good to me. Just seeing this makes me want one now. Thanks now i have to drive down to the nearest asian food mart.

    • It is warm. Not boiled. Many of the Vitamins that are sold (unless it’s a reputable company) have little value in that the process of making them jeopardizes it’s health function. So when we consume many of them, we assume we are getting 100% value to our internal system. Often that’s not the case
