“Wondering about the colour” … understatement is not yet a lost art in Britain I see.
I certainly don't hate it. The color and the statement.
It’s godawful!
It's the "Footballers Special!!!" 👍👍 🤣🤣🤣
@@moneyfindersllc6236 my thoughts exactly, aimed at football players. Tbh, if i was a footballer id have one in that colour 🤣
It looks brilliant
if you're the pedestrian hit by a two ton bentley , the plastic on the grill is the last of your worries
Ha ha love it... exactly the first thing I thought to
Maybe it's the difference between breaking one leg versus both, lol
^ this guy doesn't understand British tongue-in-cheek humour
sums up the world we live in I am sure the Kerb you hit after hitting the plastic grill will be plastic too total nonesence
😂😂😂
No matter how many electric cars come out ,I still love a big engine sound ❤️ ,
Amen, brother!!!
That's that's nice but the pope doesn't care what you love there is an agenda there is an itinerary there is a schedule and if you don't understand what I meant may God be with you and your household 🤷🏽💯😂
If I spent 200 grand on a car and the headlights steamed up like that I would be super pissed
When you mentioned the 'Speed' logo and the '12' it reminded me of the TVR Speed 12.. which I remember seeing in almost the same magenta/purple colour at the time.
Correct! Damn, I should have mentioned that, next time..
As a package, this is a deeply deeply desirable thing. I really didn't like the first generation, it got better with a face lift, but this generation is simply lovely.
I agree; the first gen looked a bit round and odd. It lacked the edge of the new gen..
Also the new one is on the MSB platform shared only with the Porsche Panamera, has the PDK and PDCC (arguably the best commercial gearbox and best anti-roll tech). So yes this is basically a Porsche underneath, which is an extremely good thing, because you can add hundreds of kilos of luxury on top of a great platform and still go round a corner more like a car than a boat
Looks like something one of the spice girls would drive
Coming real soon to a Maccy D's drive thru
Harry, it’s the consistency and experience of your reviews which make them so meaningful. I’m not sure I would buy another toy without the Harry seal of approval. Don’t mean to grovel!
Whart he said....

I really don't fancy black wheels on anything really
What about tanks?
I don't like them either. They always look dirty.
Okay this is the 2nd Bentley video I've watched this morning, both car's had very interesting colour choices, but I have to say they both sorta worked, thanks for all your work over the last year, you've kept me sane in all the lockdowns, have a great New Year Harry, 5:15am, Rj in Oz
Harry......your reviews are so incredibly intriguing. You describe the car not as a luxury car but as a incredible motor car with a notable heritage. That is how a true auto journalist would do a review. From the US and never miss your reviews.
As always a lovely review. Harry, you are one of the best 👍🏼
One of the older models pulled out on a friend and I when we were riding litre bikes down a bumpy B road. We were about to overtake, but it just powered away and glided over the bumps as if they weren’t there. We couldn’t get close. I’d have hated overtaking it to have it chasing behind us. Proper missile.
Kooks, You Blokes should be on 250s, Ahahhahaha!

A wonderful review as always Harry. Glad you learned about giving away the relative location of your home. The world is a beautiful site on that display too
Great review Harry as always very enjoyable, you are up there with the best !!!!
Superb build quality. Pleased to learn that 2021 was a great year for Bentley. Great review.
No surprise Bentley is beating sales records. These cars are truly incredible. I feel blessed to have driven the new GTC. They are an impressive feat of engineering that's for sure. I was surprised to see that you were less than infatuated with the "Speed". I have to agree, the example I drove had the V8.. It had a great snarl and was more than enough for my needs. Awesome cars and another great review, Thank you!
That magenta is absolutely stunning with the piano black accents around front end, the piano black grill and trim around the headlights is gorgeous and that magenta really is breathtaking and can not be said enough I personally would like to see a panoramic roof but maybe there is a package with that option. Lovely car for a gentleman
I disagree,I don't like the colour.
Colour is horrid
Disagree also. To my eyes the side profile is good, but the front grill, front lights and body/wheels colour combo are horrendous.
For anyone not liking the colour, you can choose pretty much any colour you want! And plenty of options available to spec. And no, I don’t work for Bentley (any more)
It’s like something the late Peter Stringfellow would like?!
What a great Sunday, enjoying a new Harry’s Garage video!
Still the most elegant GT on the market, and the most beautiful interior full of buttons (no stupid unnecessary screens!) Great video.
Totally agree with you. It's just perfect.
I love how he called his garage “a studio” 😁😁
Another GREAT video Harry! One of my favorite channels.
Amazing review as always Harry!!!
Good to see Bentley lending their press cars to someone who can give us a great video instead of Z Listers of the you tube world like SOL or Miss Emma Walsh !! Fabulous video Harry - Thank you 🙏
Well said
it has a custom plate, dont think it is a press car.
@@keirbourne5323 It’s a press car from Bentley Motors Ltd
Color is show stopping, & those brakes are insane! My top dream 6 figure car, luxury meets sport. Crazy how Bentley posted one of their best years in 2021, but I see why!
Always nice to have a bit of Harry on a Sunday...
Happy New Year Harry , keep them coming !!
I love how all (most?) of these videos start with a launch at that intersection.👍🏼
For me it is the ultimate luxury car...but a V8 will surely be enough for me. I will take it above a 911 TurboS or a AM...greetings from the Netherlands

Love your work Harry
It was worth waiting, thank you Harry :)
At last someone who doesn’t shout doesn’t have a stupid accent from the middle of the country brilliant videos have subscribed very impressed with your garage
I love Bentleys Maybe not metallic pink Bentleys
No one reviews a car like Harry. Easy to take for granted until you think about it [again]. Great stuff, both reviewer and car.
Thanks Harry, first time viewer and like your delivery; just like I was there with you.
Wow it's nice to see Stevie Wonder choosing his next car!
Harry, good review as always. You should try the Lexus LC500. It's less than half the price of this Bentley but with a 5 litre na v8. Would be nice to see your opinions on it!
Harry you are David Attenborough of motorism! Love your vids, by faaar the most educational and interesting motoring channel thanx to your extensive knowledge and cool personality. Thank you and greetings from Czech republic. J
Epic quality content as always
It's the colour of a vet's forearm
I don't like black wheels or black trim. It always looks cheap. The colour is OK but a bit too flashy in my opinion to be on a Bentley. Dark green would be my pick probably. There are a lot of extras on it that should be standard.
The rotating dash piece should be standard for this money!
Great work Harry!
Keep the content coming your videos are tremendous
If the lights steams means there is condensation in them. Not impressed also by the plastic grille.... I thought that was the distinctive trademark of any Bentley... always a great video Harry!
In full premiership footballer spec
Good content H, kudos boss
11:25 “warp speed activated “ god that car pull his own weight . As always a delight of review by the best of them all. Thanks Harry.
In the '70s I had a used Triumph Spitfire that colour (£600 inc extras). Friends called it 'The Puce Peril'. Fortunately it quickly changed colour to 'Rust Brown'.
I love Bentley autos; I've owned two of them. Having said that - the front light having moisture in it is about the quality one should expect until you have enough time to work all the kinks out. Brilliant automobile - and that colour is absolutely amazing.
I agree. The moisture in the headlights isn’t normal. That’ll be something the Owner should definitely have repaired.
i think this Bentley is absolutely stunning, this is 1 car i would really love to get an experience of having never been in anything even close to this. loving the content Harry but it's about time you take a drive up to the east coast of Scotland in something like this and take me for a drive. Please. :)
Good review Harry. 👍 The interiors are driving up sales. 👌
Fantastic review, Harry! It's sad to see that this type of car is a dying breed. But time goes on, I guess.
What an absolute beast, as Harry says we're reaching the end of an era now. I'm never going to own something like that, but man I'd like to drive one for a weekend just once!
Did my neighbours wife in a Bentley conti. Happy days

Man, never say never, life can be so unpredictable!!!
Thanks for another great video Harry - love the car! When I saw the infotainment screen booting up when you started the car I thought that looks the same as my Porsche Macan GTS screen. Seeing later glimpses of the screen confirmed it's pretty much the same screen as any recent Porsche. Same parent company, same parts bin!!!
You must be a genius... Guess who has originally developed most of the most important technical aspects of this Bentley? This vehicle is nothing but kind of a "two door Panamera" version, filled with Porsche/Audi engine-, transmission-, suspension-, electronics- and infotainment technology... you name it.
Love your indulgence
I can’t help myself, but I still prefer my Continental R from 1995...
What a machine, might sell my house buy one and live ini it!
A truly great car: a proper all-rounder (that's spelled 'GT' to folk like me), with very few peers. It really is a car for continental-sized journeys. Thanks for showing it, Harry.
Fantastic review Harry
The fogging headlight is kinda embarrassing 🤣
It would indicate that moisture is getting past the seals...
take it back to the stealership for new headlight install
@@johnandrews3568 and a new paint job
Domt worry they resell for about 10k after a year.
That colour reminds me of some of my old Matchbox toy-cars i got as a kid in the 70s - I had quite a few in that exacy shade. A Dastun 280 Z, a Ford Capri and a Ford Mark IV racing car comes to mind...
Ha ha ha great analogy ! I said the same thing to a neighbour of mine who has an Audi in a metallic burnt orange it took me back to those 70's Matchbox cars !
Harry makes awesome videos !
That lip, a Gurney Flap? LOVE all of your presentaions, both here in "The Garage" & "The Farm"!!
Living in Southern Spain, the convertible version would make me a perfect daily. Fabulous car.
I’ve driven the first generation GT, great car to drive. Not keen on the colour/black wheels, some of the hideously expensive options should be standard. Thanks Harry for another great video👍🏿
I agree & black wheels look so chavish these days. Harry had the right idea when he ordered his Lotus. Come on Lottery, I need one now before we are all turned into veggies.
The 911, Testarossa, Countach, F40 and Espada 'red gang' behind you look fantastic Harry.
Every Sunday Harry’s Garage delivers us a great one
Nice review, nice car but tbh i can't see the point of a car like this. It's not sporty in the sense of dynamics, yet it's very fast. But the only place where you can use it is Germany and only when it's not busy on the autobahn (which is hardly ever these days). What remains is stupendous luxury and the exclusivity. But i wouldn't buy one even if i could. Why advertise that you are filthy rich? There are other cars that are very luxurious but will allow you to travel under the radar. You can't do that in a purple Bentley.
"Why advertise that you are filthy rich?" That's the selling point.
Stunning Colour !…. Hopefully the engine is more reliable than the one in my friends 🙈
Hi Harry great content as always ....i noticed the spoiler engaged on your test drive ...does it have a switch or did you make 75
Great review(as always!). Beautiful car. Wish I could afford one.
Love it how Bentley made as much of the body out of aluminium and composites and the thing still weighs more than Jupiter 😂 also rear looked a bit tight for room and no centre arm rest for a 260k car??!
Is it me or does carbon fibre look cheap?
Hey Harry great informative video again. I had a rather expensive road bicycle in that colour and my so called friends called it “bellend purple!!” I didn’t keep it long !!👍
A great review. Thank you!
Taste is subjective but the colour, black wheels and headlight surrounds are a bit chavvy. Prefer the previous model Harry had in in 2018 1:41 which had the class a Bentley should.
Marmite colour, but I'm glad you mentioned the British quality fit and finishes it's what makes them special to drive and own. I worked at Crewe in the late '60's and owned a Shadow some years back and it's nice to know the quality is still there if a little blingy now for my elderly tastes!! We now wait for the "Wally's" to come out of the woodwork and tell us it's just a German kit car! Keep up the good work.
Your comment got me thinking…could a ‘Metallic Marmite’ be custom-specced? 🤔
@@standingbadger BL Russet Brown?? 😂
I always thought that hand built British quality is just said as a joke and to quote the man himself "another way of saying that the doors will fall off"
It’s a German kit car 😀
The most British thing about your comment is the assumption and expectation that "Wally's" will attack it with the truth! 😂
This color is something else! Great review as always, Harry
I watched your defender video , now this......Instantly SUBSCRIBED
Footballers will be In heaven.
Hairdressers receptionists car colour... I think if I was run over by that tank, a plastic grill would be the least of my worries.
Recently discovered your channel. Liking it so far. However, as my grandfather was from Burford, I am liking it all the more.
The colour is stunning,to match the car. Thanks Harry, for your excellent reviews
The V8 with a hybrid assist would suit this car really well; the extra weight is effectively irrelevant since you're already starting at 5000lb anyway. That's probably for the next generation though; a hybrid V8 could quite easily outperform the W12 which is why you won't see them on sale next to each other.
Outperform but not outfeel. There's nothing like the feeling of a 12 cylinder engine beneath your foot.
Some bot copied your comment...
No F**k hybrids
The Bentley GT with the V8 differently handles better, but that W12. The reason for the excellent ride is the anti-roll bars decouple when you're driving straight ahead when you enter a turn, the bars couple, and the 48-volt system kicks in and keeps the car flat in a turn.
And they make all the difference. I’ve been in a new Conti vs an old - night & day difference on the same road. The old speed was a bit of a barge in the bends in comparison to the new which was like on was on rails (and that was a non speed model)
The W12 engine is just gorgeous. Looks and acts prefect.
Superb Harry, thanks
Nice cruiser Harry. I wonder if the V8 fitted with this rear diff would be the pick of the Bentley range.
If the DCT's revised for the new W12, the W12 is the much better option. Not much difference between front and rear weight balance (55:45 regardless, at least according to Bentley's own words) and to have 12 cylinders is always better than an 8 despite it being an inferior W configuration.
@@Londonistan_Calling V8 is very good too.
If you want a more aggressive driving experience, the V8 will be the better choice. The body weight is more average and lighter Look at bentley's V8 in gt3 races, although that V8 engine is from Porsche, it's not the original bentley, but buying it for less doesn't seem like a big loss
Thank you Harry for making this. My favourite car by a fair margin, especially considering the sour legacy of Phaeton-based ones it descends from. I'm rather obsessed with it actually. - Love the colour, just a shame about the blackline. I think it's rather tacky. Without blackline you can also pay to have all the front grilles chromed, as far as I know they're still plastic, but they have a metal appearance, which still isn't great but I think it's the best option. - Another thing is that that all the carbon bits are from the (£7k I think?) styling specification, they're a cost option on all models. Without it I don't think the car has any visible carbon. I'd completely avoid it and if I had to have it I'm not sure I would want the car. Very chavvy in my personal opinion. - I reckon the light mechanism is from Porsche, considering they have harmless condensation problems as well, and of course the car's Panamera underpinnings - Personally the Speed's worth it. Don't get me wrong, it's still extortionate, but it's a Bentley. I love the Speed interior and at the size of the car rear axle steering is a must in 2022. One more thing- could we see a review of a G class at some point? I think as a Range Rover enthusiast it would be very interesting to see your perspective on it.
A great review! all straight o the point no flashiness.
>headlights filled with moisture Oh boy let's hope they aren't cutting corners to meet the rising sales demand
Surely the all season tyres are better for the driving conditions on those roads.
The all season tyres come into effect when the temperature drops below 7 degrees. Summer tyres have a better wet grip.
When I first saw it I wasn't all that exited by it but when you first cut to the shot of it in the driveway, I actually saw and appreciated the lines.
Hi Harry, enjoying both your channels immensely. wanted to bring to your attention that it appears there is colour or white balance issue either with your videos or photos. they seem to have different shades with particular colours.
Outlandish colour, it could almost come right out the 1970s, but love it. The styling , I do have reservations. Front of car , I would regard as positively ugly, but conversely the rear treatment is very pretty, huge car though.
Think Triumph TR6/Stag/GT6/Dolomite Sprint - Magenta was a popular colour back then.
Yes the colour did put me in mind of certain capris, Escort Mk1s and GT6s I used to see as a kid.
Further to the styling , the rear very much reminds me of the Aston Martin DBS 6 /V8 from the very early 1970s
The color was definitely eccentric but I think it was just right if you don't mind people looking at you on the road even more than they would normally do when driving along in this car..
You can pick it up for $50k in about 5 years
And then run it into the ground because the owner can't keep up with the running costs.....
My neighbor has a convertible and he did exactly that, W12 included, less than $50K. It's smoother/rounder on the exterior, actually looks better.
And at that point they'll all be shipped to Russia
Harry is the proper reviewer for this car.
Great insight & vid. Ta 🙂 BTW, did you mean to say ‘a clarity’ or ‘alacrity’?
That is hideous
