I saw her interview and press conference in Rome. She looked uncomfortable and very tired. Elena has a very severe allergy that is always in Rome and Paris. I hope she will be healthy for the French Open, I want to see her in the title ❤️

We love this girl. Her fanbase is crushed every time she pulls out of a tournament . Hopefully these aren’t recurring health issues. She’s my favourite and the main reason I follow WTA
Who is we? you maybe . Actually , many do not like her. Complaining and always an issue with her. "Bored " at a tournament... perhaps relax and train. Complains about the lengthy tennis schedule, but she hardley plays all the big tournaments and seems to have a gripe about something. Good riddance, hope this entitled why baby loses. Even Wimbledon.

@@ewanowogorski3067 Hmmm! That’s a bit harsh. Iga is the favourite at RG. However there is no guarantee that she will win the tournament. She has to be healthy, she can fall or injure herself. You don’t need to compare Elena to Iga. I prefer watching Elena’s tennis game style as opposed to Iga’s. However I have so much respect for what Iga has been doing over the past 100 plus weeks as WTA No 1. The fact that Rybakina has her number doesn’t diminish the fact. Now, if Rybakina could maintain Good health, I have to wonder if Iga would still be on top the leaderboard. Just saying….

Even though it's sad she can't defend her 2nd 1000 title after IW, it's good to take rest & refresh as she looked fatigued during interview sections yesterday.
Fatigued from what? She is less than 25. Did she even play Madrid? or any other clay tournaments. What a sorry excuse for a professional tennis player. One and done apparently with the Major. Cannot handle the physical ,it seems. Awyas a stomach issue, or withdrawal because she does not like something , then expects to be treated like royalty . What an entitled whiny brat.
I hope for a speedy recovery for Elena. In my opinion, she is the best player in the WTA to watch. I will look forward to see her healthy and compete in the French Open and beyond.

I love Elena and care A Lot she needs nutrition and exercise fitness program similar to Novak Djokovic and Maria Sokkari. Full blood work and analysis, etc. I’ve been a celebrity trainer 40 years. Wish I could help. Look at the difference between Djokovic and Nadal Wen has to retire one still going strong because of nutrition and program design. Wish I can help wish I can reach out to them

I have the same problem. But I didn't have it when I was young. But now, if I order something at the restaurant, I limit to the most basic stuff and stay away from sauces so I know there isn't too much processed stuff in the meal.
She looks like young Novak Djokovic. He had tons of allergies and breathing problem and he don't know that till 2009-10.

these continuing allergies are blighting elena's progress! her all too often illnesses are beginning to seem somewhat troubling! when she is allergy & injury free, elena is arguably the best woman player in the world today but these continuous halts are stopping her from being consistent!! just my opinion!

If not allergy , stomach issue, or she just does not want to play. Makes a comment about the tournament format, and bordoem. But also complains about not enough tine between matches. Seems she is a frequent complainer. Just spoiled and entitled . Will not miss her. Saba is more interesting and has played more, but never heard a complaint from her.

To bylo to przewidzenia, grala na granicy swoich mozliwosci fizycznych. To nie pozwoli walczyc z mocnymi fizycznie zawodniczkami. Nadmierna eksploatacja organizmu. Mysle, ze za rok nie obroni punktow z poczatku tego roku.

What? when and which? I do not even recall Madrid. Stop making excuses for her. She is just not fit for the rigors of tennis. We have Saba who plays matches, and Iga, Coco, and many others and their bodies are not falling apart. She is not of great athletic build . Tall with a good serve but walks so jerky, and will likely have trouble with movement in years to come. The training and conditioning will take its toll. The best height for women in tennis is not over 6' .

Unfortunately, in tennis counts everything if you want to be on the top, including good general health, mental ability, good genetics, able to put your body through incredible stress of training and tournaments. Powerful serve is not enough 😕

last year elena won in rome but only played 2 rounds in paris before quitting the tournament! let us hope it is nothing very serious! elena deserves another grand slam this year because she has been so consistent & is a fighter!
The tournaments are way too close together, and too close to Roland Garros.

This time of year allergies are brutal for those who are affected.
In my opinion, Elena is asthmatic. I am asthmatic, too, and I say this from my own experience. Asthmatic people have so many allergies. They can get sick by just inhaling pollen from flowers which fly around during sunny and windy days or just being in a flower shop or a funeral parlor. They can get sick by just inhaling dust which contains microscopic parasites. This probably explains why Elena won Rome last year since it was mostly wet and rainy that time in Rome, and also why she got sick at Roland Garros. Asthmatic people are also allergic to so many stuff found in food which probably explains why Elena always has gastrointestinal problems often. Such a shame Elena has these issues, too, because I think the biggest impediment to her winning Roland Garros is her health.
Meanwhile, Iga Swiatek is super consistent by going to SF Stuttgart 500, won Madrid masters and then still advanced to R32 Rome Masters. I don't understand why she is too good with such very young age

I'm honestly not surprised... Elena is not physically prepared to play at the highest level throughout the season. A year ago she had a great start to the season and then it got worse month by month, and it's the same now.
She has an allergic problem while playing on clay. She pulled it out from french open last season too. That's it

The lucky loser that took her place only lasted 7 games before retiring. That after the first match on court ended in retirement! If I'd paid for tickets I would have been seriously pi**ed off.
