The fact that they gave up alcohol because it causes negativity in their relationship is so mature and amazing. There are some relationships that an individual would be selfish or possibly refuse things like that.

I’m 30 years old and I have never drank alcohol in my entire life! As a child I saw how alcohol negatively affected many of my relatives and knowing there’s nothing I could do to help them saddened me. I told myself that I would not be the next one. A lot of people in my family are very proud of me for the decision I made and some think it’s really weird that I don’t drink but I never cared and ill never be embarrassed since I know I’m being myself.
you are awesome, I'm 14 and my parents really like alcohol but get really messed up after that and get angry so i Wanna go through my life without smoking and drinking because some people i know including my step mom is a witch she get's all angry when drunk and even assaults me but i can't change it and this has been the issue my whole life so that's why i don't Wanna drink or smoke that poisoning stuff.
Thats so freaking awesome. Congrats to you. Dont let anyone bring you down for that, thats something to be proud of. I am the same with smoking and drugs, never tried either and i am so proud of it. Never had the temptation honestly. Plus I know its not good for me. I know alcohol isn't but there are times where I go months and months without a drink so I really never am tempted by it. My doctor asked me about it and he said I had less than him, was kinda funny honestly. I'd say i average less then 10 drinks a year. I do have plenty of other stuff i need to work on so this was a good video for me. Looking forward to a brighter future and better habits for sure. I know I'm certainly not perfect. 👍
Most of the Americans I know do it as a social thing & I don’t care for it much. Also, I have intestinal issues and don’t enjoy alcoholic drinks. They’re good but I wish they’d make it without alcohol. I’ve always been the one to say no thanks at every party and family gathering and it’s exhausting 😅😂😭 My uncle makes a drink every thanksgiving just for me bc he’s such a sweet person & doesn’t want me to be left out! 🌈
Same here dude. I'm almost 29 and never drank. Its something I never wanted to do after seeing how it affected people in there lives, and how it made people act at times. It could change good people, into some bad people quick.
congrats man!
I've been morbidly obese for the majority of my adult life. I'm down 50lbs from the first of the year. I still have a long way to go, but It's at least a start. That's my current personal fight.

My dad was an alcoholic and my parents were going to get a divorce but he got help and he is 3 almost 4 years sober. Congrats
You’re awful lucky to have such a strong dad!
Could relate to this.
My dad was an alcoholic but didn't get sober until after my mom divorced him. They had been together since my mom was 15 but after 30 years she couldn't handle it anymore. He no longer did anything as a family. That was 20 years ago (when I was pregnant with my daughter) they were apart for about 4 years and got back together and the last 5 years have been living together again. They are not remarried but you wouldn't know it. So proud of both of them.
That’s crazy, my parents just slit up because of me
That’s awesome! Hugs to you and your family, it’s not easy winning the battle with alcoholism but congratulations to him! I hope you and your family continue to have lots of love, happiness, and positivity surrounding you ❤️
I was a smoker for 20+ years and decided one day I was done. July will be 5 years smoke free !!!! Congrats guys !!!

There’s absolutely nothing embarrassing about wanting sobriety within your lives. In fact, be proud as parents and good role models not only for your children...but every child you have on here that watches and loves your family! Best regards to the entire family!
I lost my husband to cancer 8 months ago and every day is a mental health battle. I’m a mom of 4 and now a widow at age 45. Never in a million years would I have imagined life without him in it. But that being said everyday I push myself to be a role model for my two teenage children (ages 15&17) they are at an age were they need their dad around. I know I can never fill those shoes but I will do my best to make positive memories and push them to do great things
Thank you for sharing, you got this!! ❤️
I know it may seem kind of weird, but if you ever need to talk, bitch, cry, or be happy with you can always get a hold of me on here. My dad died when I was very young, my mom raised 4 kids by herself. I'll be sending good thoughts and prayers.
I am sorry, Loretta. I pray for you and your kids. You can show your kids strength by showing them that even when you get down, you keep fighting and get back up because today might be bad but tomorrow is another day. 🙏🏼

I admit that I don't watch your videos as often as others but for some reason I stumbled upon this and I think I was meant to see it. I've been sober for 697 days after almost dying. My liver was literally shutting down and I could feel myself slipping away. Even though I knew I needed to, it was so hard for me to stop. Congratulations on taking your life back. It feels so good to finally have control. Everyone drinks. It's everywhere, I dont know if being sober makes you hyper sensitive to it, but it's so acceptable to be drunk. You do it when you're happy, sad, depressed, celebrating, drowning your sorrows...I still feel like a lameass when everyone else can drink and have fun. But it's the right choice for me. You guys did what you had to do and that takes guts! Congrats again on your sobriety!

I was the only one in my friend group in high school and college that didn’t drink, smoke cigarettes, or smoke marijuana and I’ve always felt like the “outcast” and “party pooper” but when you surround yourself with positive people who support your choices and truly want what’s best for you, that makes it so much easier. My challenge that I need to work on to better myself is being kinder to myself. Thank you guys for all the positive energy and love you put out into the world!! Edit: never change for the benefit of someone else. @Kieran McGuire thanks Kieran hahah
I’m so proud of you both !!! I’ve struggled with alcohol and hurt my marriage and decided to stop too. We’re growing and coping differently. YOU DID IT !!! Life is about letting go of what doesn’t serve us anymore and I’m excited for your positive messages you send out to us. You’re two of the best humans I know. Peace and big love 🔆✌🏽🪶🌸🕊✨💕🧘🏻♀️🪔🪴🧚🏼♂️🔆
I was addicted to prescription drugs. I am clean from my addiction for 3 years now. I recently had surgery and I had to take pain meds. I am happy to say I did not abuse them. I took them as prescribed and stopped when the pain stopped. Also I wanna say congratulations to both of you. You two helped me through my addiction. You make me smile more! I love you guys
I have a brother who became an alcoholic at a very young age and he ruined his life, it was the hardest thing I've ever lived, and I know how hard it is to let that go. He still struggles with it 15 years later. It's a blessing to be able to remove yourself from it, so don't feel embarrassed, be proud. I have never tasted alcohol because of it, so I know how it is to be judged. But in life we have to do what's best for us regardless who understands. Smile More 🙂
I’ve been clean from drugs for now a year, and I’m finally getting my kid back and it’s been a hard road, but I’m actually happy not being high everyday
That amazing keep on fighting
So proud of you!
I have never told anyone this but I am 3 years sober from hard drugs proud of you guys u keep moving forward u guys can do it 🥰🙂🙂
For the past 9 months I've been cripplingly addicted to weed, I'm 3 weeks clean and have been really struggling. Thank you for being vulnerable and that is motivating me to be clean and better for myself and others
you hang in there ! dont give up !
I'd tell you it gets easier... but it don't. You just have to admit you can't control it and stay away from it. Good luck.
Congratulations! Keep it up because you will be glad you did!
It does get easier ! I’m almost 2 months clean from weed, I love it. It’s not a burden in my mind! Keep going. Try meditation and breathing exercises, go outside, workout. Keep yourself busy ! You got this !
