If you look at relationships through the family tree or in a sims relationship with another sim it should says they’re they aunt/uncle/cousin to that sim. I’ve never had a problem with that showing up.

AGREED! This new pack could change our game almost completely, and yes to the point where we cannot imagine playing without it. This already is gonna look so great I just got a feeling! I think this will fit great with: Season, Cats and Dogs(ofc) and Parenthood since that one improves family gameplay

This trailer was so cinematically put together they wanted to make each shot feel like a home video which is why there was so much first person :)

I think there will be a video camera moments interaction or something, imagine being able to add filters like its an old video and being able to watch it in the home tv when theyre all adults
I believe Sims 3 had an option to make home movies with a camcorder and watch them on the tvs. Would be awesome to see that brought back.

Hopefully family members (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc) will be able to babysit in this pack. I’m tired of hiring a nanny or sending the baby to daycare. 😂 It would definitely help boost the relationships between family outside the household and child.
As a new mom, I have already teared up so many times seeing infants in the Sims! My daughter is 4 months old and the animations are SO GOOD, they are just as cute and silly as my baby girl. I'm obsessed.
My son is almost 4 months old! I’m glad to hear that there are other mom players out there because I was feeling like I was silly for being excited for infants in the sims when I have one of my own in real life lol
Also a mom and a simmer. Definitely teared up seeing all of the family gameplay. I’m so excited the game will be just a little closer to real life.

The family tree being more complex is so exciting and I’ve wanted it for sooo long. They usually only show children, grandchildren and siblings. Maybe they’ll add cousins, second cousins, uncle/aunts etc 🎉🎉

I can't wait for this pack and it may be the only expansion I buy full price. I'm so interested to see how Parenthood works with it. Like will listening to grandparents reminisce get their Empathy or Manners value up, or can they lose a lot of Conflict Resolution or Emotional Control if they have drama with family, or will those teachable moments affect their Childhood Confidence? I'm so curious!
I think I'm going to buy it full price too, and I'm sadly not impressed by the bonus content hahah. An earlier pack's bonus content included a super adorable bike, can I get that one instead? 😆
It's going to be sooo cute with parenthood, honestly, it's gonna be cute and amazing with a lot of other packs, which is amazing. I'm glad that "single use" gameplay expansions and game packs are in the past (I'm looking at you, Strangerville, and Journey to Batuu)
This may be the first pack I'd consider paying full price for, instead of waiting for it to go on sale. Creating large, complex families is like 99% of my gameplay - REALLY hoping the new family tree will work out in our favor. I'm still holding out for being able to cook in family and good friends homes without needing the Always Welcome trait, because moving out doesn't make a Sim any less related to the happenings of their families/loved ones. Especially when you have one sim with perfect cooking stats and you want to make sure no one else starves.

I really hope that the "cheering up about a job" we've seen means that our sims can finally talk about their jobs, congratulate to promotions, cheering up when loosing a job, that kind of stuff. I really miss those little conversation details about news from the Sims 3 🙈 also looking forward to the attraction stuff! Kinda scared tho that the pairings I have now going for my Sims turn out to be not as good as I thought 😂😂🙈
They never add enough to the pack to make it worth $50 and most other games expansions are low pice and like another hole games worth in its self!

this really has the potential to be the best pack the sims team has made for sims 4 and I'm so excited but also so nervous. I just really hope that it isn't as buggy on release as like my wedding story bc that seems like it was a much more "simple" concept and this is like a full blown game changer (pun intended)
i mean expansions get a full update before they come out, because they change more gameplay then a game pack, however with infants being launched 2 days prior and their history it’ll definitely be buggy😅

Idk, the ability to get large groups of Sims to act properly at the same time seems to be a continual downfall for the Sims - Weddings obviously, but Dine Out still doesn’t work properly. I don’t think this pack will have the same level of problems. That said, it’s the Sims, of course it will be broken in some way. 😂
@@ILuvAyeAye ofc, i was just saying that they do anticipate it more with expansions and so you do get the full game update, to help try and minimize the issues, tho at this point there just so much in the game it probably just needs to be re-coded to be current, bc the initial game is getting older, which is why sims 5 is in the works
Of all the packs for Kayla to help build on, this is the most fitting. I’m so excited to have more gameplay for elders and kids. Elders have especially needed some activities appropriate for them. Can’t wait! I have a few families but I’m gonna take this time to build up a whole neighborhood with room for babies ❤
I wonder if they’ll have the mommy essentials like nursing bras, bottle trees, breast pumps, etc. That would really be a nice addition. 😊

@@nannykiki3653 gotta be honest, that's probably one of the most realistic parts of the Sims 4. That being said, my anxiety really doesn't need to be reminded of that when playing the Sims. I'm fine with ridiculous or irl rare deaths or made-up diseases. But being scared of death while growing older kinda hits hard for me. And ofc I know elderly Sims in a realistic gameplay have to die at some point, but I don't like the constant reminder :D

Ikr! My latest build for a giant family literally just has an alcove next to the master suite's door for the bassinets because I couldn't be bothered. I'll have to make a new house with a real nursery now, not just a toddlers and up room.
I used to make a nursery for a baby but eventually I was like eh, why bother, they can’t leave their bassinet anyway so I would just stick the bassinet in the parents room till the baby aged up, I’m excited to make actual nurseries again.

Right?! The Sims 4 has been out for almost 8 years and every Sim of the same age is the same height. Also maybe we could even get little people in the Sims.
I don't think the height slider is coming into sims 4 at all (maybe sims 5) because different heights will break most animations and while it is acceptable in a mod to see things clipping or stretching weirdly, it is not acceptable in official game
there is so much their adding now that should have been in the game day one.

everyday im more convinced people who play the sims are special people, we have things in common, the way she respects animals, reminds me of my last job where I was literally fired because I was asked to kick a dog out of the establishment, I got into this huge argument with my boss of why I would never ever yell at that street dog, I tried speaking to the dog and he was actually starting to leave and he did leave but my boss was like "seriously???? you cant just kick it out???" he expected me to yell at him or even actually kick him in the ribs or something, the dog had already left, I dont understand what was my boss issue

I'm soooo excited about this pack !! I'm kinda bummed we didn't get a lot of teen stuff in the teaser, so I'm hoping they added more teen activities (like the party throwing when parents left for a weekend in the sims 3 omg) but beside from that, everything looks amazing

Who am I kidding I love all the sims games 😂 sims 4 is probably my favourite though especially after seeing all the new stuff ea is giving us like I’m a huge family gameplayer and these babies are AMAZING it’s all I ever wanted was babies that were actually fun to play with! 😂😍 that actually felt like apart of the family. I have a son in the game that has 2 more classes to be done with university so I’ll play until he gets to graduate, propose to his girl, get married, and then I’ll stop playing until the pack and infants comes out so I can have them have a baby and my sim will turn into an elder and be a grandma🥹😅
I'm not a big "family" person so I was expecting to get this pack just for a little bit of expansion to the game, but then I saw the walking club and became absolutely ecstatic!

@@thicktoast93 I just looked up the bridge in Charleston 😁 it's really pretty. The one I was thinking of is the Tilikum Crossing bridge in Portland. We also have a quiet (and expensive xD) residential area in the hills. But if you have the pretty rainbow houses, I'm leaning more towards your idea of South Carolina now ^^ Sequoia trees throw me off though since that's west coast. Maybe they decided for a nice mish mash and we're reading too much into it 😆

I love that they're including things like vitiligo, different birth marks, scars, etc. AND I LOVEEEEE that they're including more curly/afro hair esp since they are FINALLY adding hairs with the edges laid. My heart is happy
This isn’t the first hair they’ve done with laid edges, just saying. There’s been some in other packs too (Dream Home Decorator comes to mind)

Honestly the kid joining their grandparents in a Old Folks Walking Club is *hysterical* and really cute. There were also lots of touches that reflected some recent kits! A girl wearing a Pastel Pop Strawberry shirt and the treehouse gave me the camping kit vibes.

OMG!! "change personality traits throughout your sims lives", let's say someone that Hates Children changed into a Family Oriented when she had her first baby, a Cheerful changed into Gloomy after a very close relative died, an Unflirty changes into Romantic when he met the love of his life.

As someone with vitiligo, it’s interesting to think that I could add pigment spots to my self-Sim. It’s usually something I try to hide, but I do think it feels inclusive to have these kinds of options.
For me it looked like a birthmark, not vitiligo unfortunately
@@ambred4395 could be, and I think you’re right, but if you invert the way you look at it, the mark could be the main skin color, and the rest of the skin is showing the pigment loss. Either way, it opens the door for more marks and customization options in the future.
I do not have vitiligo, but I think it is BEAUTIFUL!!!! When we had that sims questionnaire, I actually put vitiligo on there hoping to get it added to the game. 🙂

I think it’s really exciting that you given the opportunity to build in the new expansion pack. Your builds are always really impressive. I can never get my roofs right. I’m very excited about this, I’ve put off investing into much of Sims4 but now that they’ve finally made these upgrades. I’m sold.

So glad You got to work on this pack! You have wanted this for years. I am excited about Personality qualities. My sims 2 & 3 characters were a lot more like people, with preferences who made their own choices. Deeper character development. I would like to see more about Dreams and the Subconscious too. Is it bad that when I heard toddlers were also getting the little traits/ quirks that I was so excited that the 100 Baby Challenge would be HARDER? 😂😂 I loved doing the 100BC and I'm excited to see how much more chaos infants and these developing traits make the house. 😂
I am planning on trying the 100 Baby Challenge once infants are released. As I most likely will get this pack on pre order, I will probably wait for the pack. Toddlers are my favorite lifestage, so I am excited for more gameplay and to see how the new infants stack up. So much cuteness coming.
Yes!! I LOVE doing the 100BC, I’ve done it multiple times in different ways. I’m so excited for it to be more difficult, even if it’ll be stressful
@@emmmma143 I’ve never done it before, but I’ve been thinking about it for a while and I love toddlers, so I think it will be a lot of fun. I’ve been focusing on making some saves in my game with various themes, so for this I’ll probably just do a normal save and see what happens. Definitely use MCCC and neighborhood stories to make sure the families keep having kids since I want to run across the kids and grandkids of the original townies when I get further in the challenge.
This was my first thought! 100 baby challenge is going to be that much harder. ha! I'm in the middle of mine at around 60 babies already.
I really hope the addition of sleeping bags means you can have your sims actually visit family members and spend the night (also have family members come visit the active household and operate a but like roommates). I think with the vacation home function they added with Snowy Escape, they could totally add a type of vacation that is free and requires the host family to invite your sims or agree to a request to visit them.

As someone who exclusively does family and generations gameplay (I am on gen 5 of my current legacy!), this pack is literally a dream come true for me! As excited as I am to have infants gameplay, I am also equally as hyped for what looks like MORE ELDER GAMEPLAY!! Retirement homes, more activities for elders to do and to enjoy with others, deeper and more meaningful relationships between elders and their children/grand children, and I hope more !! I AM P U M P E D!! 🎉🎉🎉
My first thought was retirement home too, but it was a community Center. But it does look like they'll have better interactions with family members.

I found a reference in the game to Not So Berry the other day, I wish I could remember where. LilSimsie was one of the creators of that challenge, it made me happy to see. And, of course, there's the automatic Cow Plant name. 😂 She is truly the reason I picked up the Sims 4 (I played earlier version a ton as a kid), I get tickled to see the references.

I think the first person effect kinda makes it look like someone is filming a home video. Whether that's just Aesthetic for the theme of the pack or its something you can actually do it is a cute way to go about it.
Before seeing this trailer I had no interest in replaying the 100 baby challenge like others were planning on doing. But now seeing how fleshed out infants and toddlers are becoming... I'm very excited and might just have to do it!
I restarted the 100 baby challenge like months ago and seeing this I’m like goddamnit guess I gotta pull out a new save file and do it all over again for this new expansion pack😂💀
i actually lowkey want simsie to not play her legacy challenge until this expansion comes out bc i would love to see baby do all of this cute stuff with her babies! and since poor blue and anna are on the literal brink of death it would be cute if they were able to do some new elder stuff! AHHH AND I NEVER NOTICED THAT SIM HAD VITILIGO IM SO EXCITED
although actually if vitiligo is locked behind a paywall thats not really very good, that should be base game imo
@@dowhatmakesyouhappiest198 the vitiligo is coming out with the infant update, not the pack. Maybe different swatches will be in the expansion but birthmarks, moles, vitiligo, etc. is base game with the infant update (source: EA website notes and live stream featuring infant with birthmark)

i feel like this and seasons are really going to be the must have packs. it will genuinely change how i play my games because i love family gameplay, but i always struggle to enjoy it once the toddlers age up.... im excited about this! my 18th birthday is in the rage for the extra items, so i have a good idea what im spending my birthday money on!!

Since the stream the other day, I’ve been constantly freaking out about all this with my sister. The amount of happy stimming I’ve been doing the last few days about the sims is ridiculous
"I built three lots" Cut to me legit tearing up in pride, not to mention this after seeing the trailer on instagram and seeing the treehouse and RUNNING here.
the fact that the baby update and pack are only 2 days apart for release dates is shocking!!! i’m so happy that she got to build on this pack!

Felt that 🙄 at the additional content, it's weird, I literally don't have the money to buy the pack straight away. This seems full of stuff I'd use soooo much, I always play big families
I'm pretty sure the baby carrier that is a limited item is more of an outdoors hiking carrier, and the other one from the trailer is just a normal baby carrier! so excited for this pack!
This is EA though, I bet the only carrier is the early purchase one.

However I can’t imagine they would lock new gameplay under an early release… even if EA is stingy I can’t imagine they would put all the time and effort into a new animation only to limit access for a short time. Seems like a waste. Hopefully it’ll be a part of the pack!

On the first part of the video it showed a kid playing with some elders and the place seems like some sort of a senior club or something, it can be another kind of lot but later on we saw more elders doing exercise together. That would be amazing tbh because sometimes I feel like the elders could just stop working and enjoy their last days doing something they like and interacting with other elders 🥺
The way the trailer was filmed makes me think we might be getting the cameras that’s we got in sims 3 🥺

The FONT of “Get Familiar” at the end being every late 80’s early 90’s family sitcom font is a nice detail - this trailer was really really well put together. I’m so excited that you got to build for this pack - and especially that you get to put an “official” lilsimsie blue suburban in the game. 😂 I LOVED generations in TS3 and I’m excited to see more about this pack. The infant carrier in the trailer looks like a basic soft infant carrier, the preorder one likes more like a structured hiking pack carrier with a sun shade. Treehouses, sleeping bags, so many new windows, upright piano and most important so many interactions between different life stages! Having more interactions for siblings of different ages and grandparent/grandkid interactions has been my top most wanted feature for awhile!
I'm so excited for the world. I am born and raised in the bay area and even though San Myshuno is absolutely San Francisco, it is so cool to see areas like San Mateo, Gilroy Gardens, Oakland (Jack London Square) and Berkeley represented.

If only they haven't only top five richest English-speaking Simmers with limited building abilities and styles do all the build for past 3 years. It's disrespectful at this point and fake signaling, considering how much they try to preach about inclusiveness, but still haven't applied it to the Game Changers. Wow shocker, Lilsimsie, Sims Supply and Deligracy once again building houses for the packs... Like once or twice - sure, but every time is just rude to all the other talented people. Especially Snowy Escape was a flop, considering they have not invited a single member of Japanese community.

I totally see what you mean and you have a point, but I don’t think the point of having game changers building for packs is for inclusivity, it’s because they know game changers create better builds and provide more promotion than their own team. The last few packs before they started asking players to create builds for them had AWFUL builds, so they’re just preventing future mistakes. They aren’t doing it to include everyone, they’re doing it to improve the quality of packs. But I do agree to an extent, it’d be cool to see some smaller game changers work on packs too.
