What is a Quincy???
It's like a human with powers.
Quincy is a type of race of human who can see hollow and soul and they are capable of using bow and arrow( they have sword too but just not their main weapon) they are the opposite of shinigami
And if a Quincy kills a Hollow he/she doesen't get purified from his/her sins. He/She simply dies and vanishes. But when a Shinigami kills a Hollow with his/her Zanpakutou the Hollow get cleanse from his/her sins and becoming a pure soul and sent to Soul Society.

ichigo is op character which makes him true main character of bleach, with hollow sanpakuto, reatsu of shinigami and blood of quincy. i remember the time when kyoraku shunsui said to ichigo friends that ichigo maybe not coming back. for me the rason is maybe the world is not ready for his real power and the other one is he replace the soul king with sealed.

Spoilers Basically the Quncy's standard anti-shinigami tools all have a failsafe to ignore quincy reiatsu. Because of his heritage Ichigo's reiatsu is a mix of shinigami, quincy, and Hollow so the tool cannot steal or seal it. Also the tool requires that the user is strong enough to use the bankai they are stealing. This nameless fool was no where near strong enough to use ichigo's bankai so even if he wasn't part quincy it still would have failed.
As others have pointed out already, Ichigo is part Soul Reaper, part Hollow and part Quincy, and these kind of tools - like the one Quincies use for stealing a Bankai - are designed not to work on another Quincy. So due to his mom being a Quincy, Ichigo's Bankai is safe. It's no spoiler since the anime has already shown it... go watch the last chapters if unsure
They couldn't steal it cause he has hollow powers which are pretty much poisonous to quincy and also he's a quincy, that's why you see none of the stolen bankai were vizards. As to why the vizards didn't use their mask or bankai, could be anyone guess since kubo didn't explain why either in the manga
The thing is that "old man" zangetsu" is infact his QUINCY power . The real sword ZANGETSU is white ichigo. Cant wait in tybw to see his real bankai

Ginjo is stated in Can’t fear your own world to be a ‘soul king candidate’, the same as Ichigo. I think that means he is also a hybrid, with a mix of shinigami, hollow, and Quincy powers. (I think he and Ichigo are probably specifically the type of Quincy that can share or take power from others, since they are shown to be able to do that, but don’t use arrows or anything.)
I think ginjo is only shinigami and hollow

@@jerkoroso2329 no actually, when ginjo took ichigos powers, he did take his Quincy powers as well so that does make him a hollow, shinigami, Quincy, hybrid. The influence from all sides can be seen very clearly in his bsnkai form. The boney armor and the darkened eyes resembling an arrancar/vizord while the reishi wings at the back which are clearly from a Quincy letz still or Quincy holy form. Both were combined in his bankai.

I really wanna get into bleach especially watch the new tybw stuff but all of the terminology arrancar, getsugantenshou, bankai, zanpakuto, makes no sense to me 😢
To be fair a great deal of the anime is filler. With a bit of research you can absolutely pick and choose only the relevant arcs to watch. Shikai and bankai are introduced very early. Arrancar has to do with hollow evolution and is a major arc unto itself. Gestsugatenshou is just the name of the sword energy ichigo attack

He used to be a substitute soul Reaper and stole ichigos power that contained hollow spirit energy as well. He did turn into a literal vampire demon final form. Ginjo was a power hungry human. Like a plain human. You gotta give him respect to be able to reach that power. Forsure he's no quincy.. What do you think tho?

He got the hollow powers from absorbing ichigos power but the main point is he is a human, born in the land of the living, who became a substitute soul Reaper who lost his power. He learned fullbring and that' was his initial power and allowed him to see spirits in the first place. He sought out ichigo for more power as he was the 2nd substitute and the next in line who lost his soul Reaper powers. Ichigo is also a full bringer because of his early childhood incident. Ginjo just taught him how to bring it out of him. Ginjo is no shinigami. He was never created or born within the soul society. He is just a human who gained mass amount of power.

The Quincies just can't deal with Ichigo's Hollow nature, it poisons them. That may be the reason why they couldn't steal his Bankai? EDIT: Just googled it. It seems it's due to Ichigo's Quincy nature they can't steal it, since the tool used to steal a Bankai is made to only focus pure Soul Reapers. Let's not forget Ichigo has both Hollow and Quincy blood running through his veins... so yup, no can do.
Hollow are poisonous to Quincies. That's the reason for Ichigo being immune to bankai stealing
