Controlled Demolition, Inc. (CDI) of Phoenix, Maryland, USA (acting as Explosives Subcontractor to Main Demolition Contractor, Jackson Demolition Service, Inc. of Schenectady, New York) performs the preparation for and successful explosives felling of one (1), 370’ tall FGD Chimney with a 63’ diameter and 28” thick shell at the base of the structure, which was located in Parrish, Alabama on January 29, 2022. Given the original 730’ height of the concrete chimney and the limited fall area for the structure, Jackson Demolition mechanically removed the upper 360’ of the structure prior to CDI’s felling of the balance of same.
You’re the best in the world. Love watching your videos 👍👍👍
Man the video production quality on these has gone up so much.. I love watching every video…
No drone? You’ve spoiled us for the drone. Great job as usual.
That bird was like “I’m out of here!!” That is some great demolition!
That first shot is the most satisfying crash/whump you've done yet. Kudos to whomever framed all those camera anglesl and the heron was a nice touch.
If anyone was constipated, being in that porta-potty during that demolition would sort it out.
I'm always impressed by how large structures yield relatively small rubble piles.
Most structures are mostly hollow really. The actual "stuff" that makes up a building isn't really that massive.
Love the part when it fell down
If the guy in the Johnny-On-The-Spot was constipated, he sure wasn't after this shot! LOL
i love the 2 little water sprayers next to the enormous dust cloud
Excellent shot, you make this look so easy but I realize a lot of planning goes into each implosion.
Is it cockiness to set up your camera so that as the chimney falls, it is beautifully framed by the trees? Nah...just well-deserved confidence.
Another enlightening moment in my day. I love watching these videos
Shot three was amazing, I appreciate that framing and distance to impact.
Gotta love this stuff..
Thank you very much for the upload.
good drop, not much left to hammer there!!! thanks for sharing with us!!
I like how the chimney completely hits the ground and disappears by turning into straight up dust when tipping over.
WOW! That one had a big ole KABOOM when it hit the ground!
Just a question. How effective is the spraying of water really 🤔 in curbing the dust cloud?
I think it helps more afterwards for clean-up, than it does for prior and during the dust cloud. Certainly, it works better than nothing at all!
All show! OSHA/EPA & their BS Regs!!!
07FEB2022 - About as effective as a ten-dollar discount on a Rolls-Royce. It's an EPA thing -- necessary and pointless.
i was going to comment the same. it doesnt appear to have much any effect at all does it?
About as effective as a squirt gun vs. a campfire.
The third camera shot sounded like a 16 inch gun firing on a battleship. The dust cloud aswell.
If I didn't already have a career sorted out I think I would apply to work for you guys... seeing the videos on the phone is one thing but I can imagine being there in person when the whole building / structure comes down has to be extremely satisfying
Great job - nice footage and the new intro is good too. :)
0:30 TIIIMBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRR!!!
GREAT JOB!!
Nicely done
Beautiful
Awesome! 😳
I love your videos. Please make more like the “feature” length video of the condo tower you imploded in Texas. Also, when I see Carmichael Towers at Vanderbilt go down, so many fun memories come back to me. We had a ball in those (then brand new) square buildings.
Ohh man this is COOL
Dam nice...
Please note...No pelicans were harmed in this video..
Great
@1:11 is killer!
Counting down from 10 to "fire" is actually a lot closer to 5 seconds than to 10 seconds 😳. That not withstanding it awesome to see that the object is in limbo for about a real second and then......."splat" and it's flat 😀 👌
Lol. I'm pretty sure the countdown is just so that everyone else on radio knows when it's going to happen, not to keep actual time.
I felt very sorry for the water sprayers. They seemed to be really effective until the tower feel down, then, nope, not doing anything at all
😎😎😎
I love watching you work. But seeing gas and coal plants come down is not a good thing, every time they do, we are just that much more under China's thumb. :(
