  • Kamala Harris has PLENTY of flaws as a politician, but whether or not one agrees with her politics.....her "I'm speaking" moment in that debate was 10,000% due and classyAF. There has been this increasingly decline in the competence and level of being civilized in our politician. BOTH sides (but admittedly FAR more the right, lol) have gotten in this pathetic, highly distasteful and juvenile, and unworkable habit of just bulldozing through whoever else in talking, even if they formally have the floor/time. Like......if our own ELECTED OFFICIALS, who are supposed to be the best of us, can't even manage to not scream over each other like petulent poorly-raised children, even after all they're paid, directly and indirectly, and given the critical nature of their work .....then WTF are we even doing? We definitely can't call our society baseline "civilized", anymore 😂, based on that recent trend in politicians' behavior. So Kamala, instead of like EVVVERY other politician talking over her opponents, (especially on the right, sadly: comical immature idiots like Jim Jones, for example -it's always hilarious to watch him act like a stupid toddler, and watch closely as he's so proud of himself; totally and completely unaware that he is TERRIBLE at oratory, rhetoric, and politics in general, and he just looks SO silly and infantile, lmfao) -instead of that? .....she waited patiently to interject mainly during quick pauses in his speech AND simply remains calm and poised and respectful, neither being an ass nor being a wuss that rolls over. I love this series, man, but that moment just feels silly, because it's literally the opposite of everything else in this series lol -everything else is a gaff or otherwise testament to how retarded and uncouth our politicians are, hut that moment? That was quite possibly one of the best moments in politics in the last few years -not as some dumb, bullshit "you go, girl!" sorta way, but rather in the "we really, REALLY really need more of that in our politics, starting with debate moderators actually standing by talking times and preventing talking over each other, and the house/senate growing the fuck up and starting to respect each person's speaking time.
