In the spirit of Wolfgang Langewiesche's Stick and Rudder:
How to avoid stalls like the Air France flight 447 accident.
How skidding a turn can cause a pilot to pull back on the yoke to cause a stall and spin. Dispelling the dangerous notion that the elevator controls altitude and explains why it is safer to think of the elevator as the Speed/Angle_of_Attack control. Dispelling the notion that the rudder turns the airplane and explains why the rudder should only be used to align the nose and tail with the flight path, which is determined by bank angle.
