A short gameplay/cinematic video of us flying the Mi-24p hind providing support for VDV airborne assault in Syria.
For some reason, the track file didn't properly record Mi-24p flight after the taxi & beyond hence, the clips onwards are pilot POV (no commentary since my initial plan was to do a cinematic). Enjoy!

It was interesting to watch. I knew you will get hit but it still came as a surprise when it happened. Please find someone to make small movie together. Radio chatter with another human pilot adds a lot. Nice music also.Was really feeling desert and battle heat.

Thank you! I hope you will find the mission fun to fly in. My initial flight was very bad, i put in a lot of practice to finally fly like that. But there are room for improvement.

Yes you can edit the mission file for the mi-8 to be playable. But you might need to give the Hind waypoint to the objective to do CAS. Else i don't think the mi-8 can survive the landing

@@FGCH03 thank you! I did spend a lot of time in the hind to get my flying right, because i was used to the light and agile Uh-1 Huey. No rudder pedals, the T16000m hotas does have rudder pedals on the throttle, i been using it for few years now. Initially i was using the twist on the joystick until it gave way. I
i wonder how comparable the Gsh-2-20K cannon is to the Gau-8? both are high ROF and 30mm.

Both might be high ROF and 30mm, but it's all about that kinematic energy baby I was also interested, since the Apache also has a 30mm chain gun. I looked at some stats to see how they compare to the A-10 Gau-8. Not even close. Like seriously! Gau-8 has (if I remember correctly) around 10x more penetration!!! The type of ammo it uses and also the fact that it's flying faster than choppers just gives it too much of an advantage! The more you know :D (This is for real life btw, DCS might be different!)
Can you tell us your pc specs? also ive been thinking of getting the hind hows the flight controls for it? is it sensitivie to movements?
Intel i5 10600k, rtx 3060ti, 32gb ram, 1TB ssd, playing & recording on 1440p I would say hind is a tough beast to be tame. It took me quick some time to learn how to take off & landing without crashing. But once she in the air and flying, she can be very stable surprisingly. You gotta put some curve & deadzone to your axis to get a smooth control.

The video is awesome and melody is perfect but I can make a suggestion which is strictly observation. Use S-8 instead of S-5 and use Mi-17V-5. Again very cool made video and please do more 🍺👍🏻
