My only suggestion is to learn learn learn and practice your trades to the point of picking so many consistent winners you can’t stand being out of the market any longer. In the mean time save up your cash, kill debts and then set an amount to send to your investment account and in yourself regularly. Maybe pick up an extra part time gig just for trading money. Good luck guys, if you want it enough you will find a way.

Stumbled upon this video tonight and everything you mention hits me so hard. I’ve recently have became good at managing risk. After 20 green trades I thought I had day trading figured out and became cocky and lost a few trades. Been sizing smaller and managing risk the last 3 weeks. Time and experience masters everything. Great video man.

16:13 "I dont hold anything overnight" Probably the best advice given right here. And it plays into risk management. I've been under the pdt rule for a year now and I think I'm ready to 1)never hold stocks overnight 2)never trade without available daytrades

once you get a firm grasp of the market you can grow that pretty fast. The main thing is to learn and be confident in what you have learned. I traded for 2 years and blew up my account trading options earlier this year bc like an idiot I didn't paper trade them and came to find out just how bad time decay is in weekly options the hard way. God has really blessed me though along the way with the knowledge and everything else to bounce back though this year after I worked and put in 6k and grew that account to 30k in 9 weeks mainly doing options. 7 out of 9 weeks profitable (should have been 8, but I traded the VIX options instead of SPX....another lesson)...but yeah. Train yourself and you can easily grow the account man. My strategy is entirely different than Ricky's. I've learned from multiple different people and exit according to when patterns breakdown or give off red flags. Risk & emotion management is absolutely crucial. Just wanted to encourage you to keep learning and don't give up on progressing yourself towards achieving your goals in the market
The things he's talking about, are all in a book called "Trading In The Zone" by Mark Douglas. I would recommend that book.

It was a golden video and lesson for me. I was about to borrow money and go for bigger position sizes, but still I am new. I think some new day traders are very unhappy with their daily jobs and decide to go big.
to be a good trader you need to understand patience. Some trades can take weeks to play through, even months. Risk management and patience is key.

So I was up on my first big trade. 5k profit, and based off the data I held out for a potential 11k profit. But the trend reversed... I got greedy and then I got scared, but fortunately I had a great entry point that I waited patiently for, so I still ended up making 1k profit. So it's not just about cutting your losses, but also when to take your wins. The stock had 2 down days then bounced to where I could of made at least 3k. A big reason why I sold out at 1k profit was cutting my losses and I was scared, but also I bag held for too long, about a week, and checking the market everyday was wearing on my judgement, as well as looking for my next stock to trade. Cut your losses, and cut your wins, mitigate bag holding and keep your mind fresh.
I completely feel you. Had the same experience, and for some reason I always felt the pressure of having to spend all the funds in my portfolio. lost so much cuz I couldn't exit when I wanted to (bought it with unsettled funds). Patience patience and patience. Now I'm just happy to stare the remaining balance and deciding which to play with next.

1.5% of $30K = $450. If you can make $450 a day. It's over $112,000 a year. No need to work 9-5.

Forex is beneficial for banks and industries already dealing in multiple currencies. They buy/sell to reduce conversion risk. Also the brokers that make money off all the retail traders.
