Honestly, i believe that Riverrun and the Twin should be more equal in terms of advantages but also different in the kind of advantages they give. Both are very strong and hard to conqyer castles, but i can see Riverrun giving renown, prestige and piety bonuses, based on the Tully background of a close knit family, very devoted to the seven and famous for their loyalty, with the Twin instead giving bonuses of development and revenues, while also giving prestige and/or renown disadvantages, because of the whole "up jumped tolls collectors" theme of the Freys, snobbed and disliked for generations upon generations for their opportunistic and business oriented minds.
I think the dragon pit will be more useful when we have dragons lol
Agreeed
I hope they add more, because there should be one on driftmark as well. Hightide castle that could be rebuilt like Harenhall or something.
Insane idea. Would be soo cool
I believe summerhall is its own building with a graphic representation and special building too. Albeit a minor one to my memory
Yeah I purposely avoided ruins such as Castamere and Summer Hall
1000 video likes and i'll rebuild Harrenhall!
Can you please do culture
I see 1k+ likes... is the "Make Harrenhall Great Again" video in the making?
Actually is 🤭 I've got HOI4 AAT to do first but the script has been started and the footage has begun!
Kind of disappointed the Eyrie is grey rather than white to be honest, given the books specify that King Roland Arryn brought in white marble from as far away as Tarth as he preferred how it looked. EDIT: I'd also point out that Riverrun not measuring up to the other great castles makes sense, since it isn't one of the great castles. Tully commands the Trident because they were generally loyal to Targaryen after they rebelled against the Hoares, and are specifically noted as not being the most powerful house of the Riverlands.
Wasn't it also because the Blackwoods and the Brackens had lost a lot of their armies in previous wars with each other?
@@andalilbitqueer The Brackens and Blackwoods have certainly weakened themselves through their incessant conflicts.
I’ve been waiting for this, nice job
Thankyou! 😊
I am unsure if it is a special building. However, when i was doing a Night's watch playthrough, i noticed that, when i rebuilt the nightfort, it had the ability to have a special building. However, i could not build anything. Maybe it's something specific to if you follow the others religion like Craster?
I think the "ruins" haven't been implemented yet; Castamere, Summer hall and Nightfort to name a few These are all of the specials that had bonuses in the list. I'll make a separate videos on the ruins when they have more content
The Nightfort is a holy site for the beyond the wall old gods. Castamere is a regular castle. Summerhall can not be restored, we will probably have to wait until dragons get implemented or the Targaryens get expanded upon (They don't even have any special dynasty perks yet). Then there is the ruins in the Riverlands, those have a special design but restoring them doesn't give anything like a special building
@@gerardfarresfranch7242 I would bet if they ever make dragons work in this mod, Targaryens will have special line just for them.
Just watched your Baelish video so I came back to rewatch this one as well. I'm making a wiki guide for the mod so videos like these are super helpful as I don't need to personally have the game running as I edit or have to dig through the files as much. Just a heads up if not too late to add to your upcoming updated video for this, on top of special building the mod add new generic holding builds. The files I have only show Godswood, Moat/Earthen Works (which can be upgraded to Lizard Lion Infested Moats), and Apiaries but more might have been added.
Thanks for the heads-up!
Amazing content brother 👏🏼
Thanks!
Amazing video!
Thank you
Riverrun has to get buffed. It's almost impossible to conquer and never has been
I just fully rebuilt harenhall and that’s practically impenetrable lol
Touche! What house did you do it as? And did you build a tax office to offset the income loss?
@@Midgeman I played as House Whent, and holy shit yes the tax office pretty much helped save me financially. Also, acquiring more profitable lands. I became House Tullys vassal after the war, and once that happened I kept on creating hooks on my liege so that I could declare war against the other vassals I created claims for. It took my house like, 300 and something years or so to get it fully upgraded though.
A real good tip is to fight an artifact war against house Celtigar for their Valeryian steel sword if you can get it! It also has an income boost!
Have a like to rebuild Harrenhal! I’m in the middle of a House Whent Harrenhal rebuild campaign. Approaching the century mark and I rule the Vale and Riverlands (lucky marriages), which provides great vassal tax income. I’ve only got 1 upgrade built so far, but once your income starts picking up with buildings and vassals, the next ones should be much faster. Apart from the rebuilding goal, the Curse of Harrenhal events give the otherwise bland Whent campaign a good dash of flavor.
Do white harbor and gull town not have their own special buildings?
Nope they don't! Not yet!
no but they have really cool icons on the map. I dont yhink they have any noted named buildings in the books, do they?
Whiteharbour has a pretty important sept and Gulltown a pretty important port. My theory is they're just not implemented. In the same regard that most of the structures for Oldtown aren't in yet
@@Midgeman I thought whitehabor had the wolf's den and sept of the snows implemented already
@@smack80 White Harbour has a quite unique and large Warharbour. Davos mentions the big seawalls shielding off the war fleet from the trading port. And of course they have the castle, the Wolfs den. And a big sept, since they are one of the few worshippers of the Seven in the North.
He's no Modge but a great video all the same!
Yeah Modge was really something
Is it possible to use ironwood for ship building? I'd like to do a Ironborn playthrough, taking the northern woods would make far more sense then
In the lore I have no idea but it's a cool concept
There is a special building in a county in The Arbor but i cant figure out the requirements to build it. It's Mermaid Rock or something like that.
Oh really? I'll take a look - it didnt appear in my file dive but could be a mine
@@Midgeman There are a couple of others like this! At The Gates of the Moon in the Vale and at the Tarth's seat Evenfall Hall.
Can we get a look at the religions at some point?
One thing I dislike is how the models are not sunken into the terrain, and they kind of stand out on top so it kind of breaks the visual immersion. Which is a shame because they are very well made!
Damn, I wanted to try to have Harrenhal but the stats of it make no senses for me to have
Don't get me wrong the tax is super nice and so are the levie rates but for 27k it's a little low imo
All praise be the great Algorithm.
Hallowed be it's name
The Eyrie looks like Hogwarts
YOURE A VALEMAN HARRY
Does each part of Kingslanding occupy a county slot?
Barony I believe
@@Midgeman Ah good, thanks
I hope they add dragons
There's a special slot on The Arbor, but it's greyed out as if I don't fullfil cultural or religious requirements (my house is Faith of the Seven and arbor culture). I have no clue what it is
it could be a temple for the drowned god as the ironborn hold a temple on the arbor as a holy site
I need a list of none canon houses where can I find an accurate list?
someone on the AGOT discord might be able to help!
Oldtown is incomplete, largest city in westeros and its not event shown…
Yeah, I was definitely upset when I first played the mod. I had planned to start in Oldtown, but one look at it made me change my mind. Hopefully they upgrade this in the future.
Shouldn't the Eyrie reduce the supply limit, because it would be really difficult to supply an army there?
Good point but I think it would give the holder supply because they own the only source of supply up the mountain
What hill 🤨? 20:44
It’s all very cool, but they definitely super overdid it on development nerfs. It’s now basically impossible to get dev which actually seriously buffs the stewardship lifestyle they tried to nerf.
There's a few things that feel a little wonky for sure but it shouldn't take too much to rectify
Yes ^^ definitely go make suggestions on their discord!
they nerfed most development bonuses, but not all. Raiding and getting the slaves event still gives +40 so the iron islands become the most developed place lol
I don't like how he rips off my man Modge
Who is modge and what this guy does?
I'm a big fan of Modge kzhead.info/sun/hJmrqbWXfn1miKs/bejne.html
Oldtown's graphics is especially underwhelming. And Harrenhal needs updated graphics for when it is finally restored to its former glory. Similarly, Dragonpit, Pyke, Moat Cailin and Winterfell may enjoy a special decision to renovate their dilapidated towers and conditions. Dreadfort already has special graphics, so maybe it can support a special building and small bonuses.
The city of Oldtown isn't finished yet and will be added eventually. For now its just the Hightower there.
I expect that we'll be getting different graphics as and when they finish them. It is an open beta after all!
Oldtown's model hasn't been finished yet, they'll add it later
That was my guess
Maybe you can make it then
why is this on this channel
