    • How do you find out how much your client is making in sales as a result of you running their social media pages for example. Is this supposed to be done on an honor system basis to trust that they’ll tell you or is there a process you put in place to have access to this information?

  • What's needed? Liquid cash. Everyone only has credit. If you have stacks of cash, you can capitalize on everyone's credit. A recession as bad it can be, provides good buying opportunities in the markets if you’re careful and it can also create volatility giving great short time buy and sell opportunities too. This is not financial advise but get buying.

  • One thing to remember is that in this day and age no matter what business you run, you are a digital marketing agency before anything else. This is the only way to survive the pinch we are currently in which is only getting worse. Learn this stuff, even if you hire someone to do it in the end, you won’t be wasting money if you understand how this stuff works.

Building wealth and remaining financially stable indefinitely is a lot easier with the appropriate information. Participating in financial programs and products is the only true approach to make a high income and remain affluent indefinitely.

The first stage in building money is determining your goals and risk tolerance, which you may do on your own or with the assistance of a financial counselor who works with a verified Finance agency. • I started life as a photographer but wanted to get into marketing as I tended to lean towards product photography, I’m currently doing my MSc in Marketing and during this time I am currently building a marketing portfolio, we actually have a module called applied professional practice where you need to get work experience for a month and one of the choices was “venture creation” so I jumped on that. When I complete my masters I want a website, with a good few clients on it. I would like to get into hospitality (I’ve been a waiter and cook for 5 years) as I think that’s where my niche of photography and videography is really needed. I am also doing my research project on the effects of professional photography on perceived value in a restaurant setting, so I would like to see how much people would pay for a certain meal based on profession photography compared to diy photography. So hopefully this will give me data to show to future clients to convince them that investing in their photography can actually enable them to charge more because customers are likely to perceive them in higher regard compared to a restaurant with amateurish images. I totally agree that you need to do a few free jobs, I did this when building my photography portfolio and a good few of the companies got back to me offering me paid work when they realised the images were well received on social media. Someone in my class was saying “I don’t believe in giving my time for nothing in return” and our careers advisor agreed then I said “but what do they get out of paying a student with zero marketing experience, zero portfolio and credibility? They might as well hire a professional, and you do get something out of it… experience, testimonial and potentially your first paying client. Student barbers give out free hair cuts, new restaurants often give out free samples” also working for free at the start to build up a portfolio allows you room to make and learn from mistakes, when you’re charging from the get go, you can’t make these mistakes

And we also went to a lot of local stores and places to ask if we could put our business cards there, whilest talking about our refferal program to the owner of that shop/service, we now are getting random requests because of this and I think being flexible is a big one for us too. • Specialization is the biggest lie our educational system teaches us. Do you know how people who specialize end up with? Working at a job they hate, with a mediocre salary, living in fear that the only thing they know how to do will become irrelevant and they won't have a job anymore. If you look at every successful person in history they were all good at AT LEAST 2-3 things. Especially as an entrepreneur you need to be good at marketing, sales, branding, technology, management, negotiation and so on. Yeah you don't have to be an expert at everything, but you have to be at least OK at everything. Sure you can outsource things as you start to grow your team and build your business, but even then, the more skills you have, the better you'll be able to lead your organization, not to mention that when you're starting from scratch you have to do everything, and you better do it well if you want to succeed. Me I've been a generalist all my life, mostly because I never wanted to feel constrained to a single path in life, and while it's true that I'm not as good as other programmers (that being my main job) who only did that for years and years, I've been able to profit from opportunities they would never be able to access, just because I also know a little bit of business, a little bit of design and a little bit of sales, besides knowing programming. And I'm optimist that even though my colleagues will make a little bit more money than me in the short run, in the long run my combination of skills will lead me to success.

  • Starting a business with close friends one is 100% spot on!!...I started a business with a good friend and it just broke my friendship with him...when we see each in a common group we are cool with each other, we talk etc...but it never the same it is just awkward and both of us have a bit of bitterness towards each other which is still there from our time in the business...so this is a great life tip....try and hire strangers if u can and if u wanna go partners do it with a proper agreement with ppl who are not your personal friends, best with work collegues...so if things sour up later you can can handle it much better

  • Good tips. Also for people starting out at a tight budget, you can file an LLC with you state for a small fee and maybe a 2 page form. In my state, I can do it for $50 or less on a 2 page form. Probably takes me like 10 min or less. You really don't even need an LLC at first and just start it as a sole proprietor, freelancer. Better for you to learn the skills and learn how to land clients.

That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks (with the help of my Financial Advisor of course) and made about 246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.
