It's in the paperwork you have to sign. The producers and editors can do whatever they want with you and your style once you are accepted. Which is why the contestants often get makeovers and have to sing songs that they don't really like.

How can the judges comment on her performance when they know next to nothing about rock music, let alone Guns N' Roses?
Because the objective isn't to mimic/cover the song, rather, to take it and make it her own.

The competition is not about playing guitar. If she loves the song maybe must try to do a full version elsewhere, live and with a good guitar player for the solo, or a good band in general. Then we can see and judge.

I saw that some of u said that it's nothing without the solo, i'm a singer and a guitar player and i love this solo very much but u must understand that this is not a solo competition, it's a vocal one and this girl has covered this song in her own style and sung PERFECTLY!!!!!!!
