  • Fun Fact: The producer actually got in serious trouble which later led to his firing for doing this to Adam.

  • Adam later said that he was pissed off not at the Junior team but at the producer who set them up to it.

  • in the cut after they admit it, adam actually had to leave set for about a minute, because he felt so angry and betrayed.

  • Here's what Adam wrote in a reddit AMA answering the question whether Tory still feels bad about this:

  • I love being in Jamie's position when shit like this happens. Put your hands in your pocket, whistle, and feel good knowing that not only did you not get shocked - but you also had nothing to do with the pranking. Man he really dodged that bullet.

  • The genuine panic in Kari’s eyes when she blurts out “DO YOU FEEL GOD” is absolutely fucking killing me

  • It was actually the producer who set the prank up. The young team didn't want to participate in it. Watch the interview with Adam where he talks about it.

  • I think it's very telling of Adam's character that he decided to leave and was quite chipper in saying so "just leave me alone". Clearly the guy wanted to go ape shit but he wasn't gonna lash out at anyone in person, just needed to get the rage out on his own.

  • I love how they tried not to show it, but you can tell the emotion everyone is feeling after watching Adam getting shocked was shit spewing fear. They knew they had gone too far.

  • I think this was filmed during the time that it was big in certain TV shows to have team members cussing and shouting at one another. After the shouting match is over, they follow the people that got into the little spat and interview them for added drama.

  • Stuff like this, no matter how safe it is to actually do, really had no place on Mythbusters. They worked with a lot of dangerous items, they needed absolute trust in each other that these items would work as intentioned and outlined, barring any technical failures within it.

  • The fact they survived this hiccup is a testament to the depth of their friendship and working relationship. I love this show....some real smart people doing fun stuff we all wish we could do.

  • I love that Adam NAILED them from the very beginning with his guess of the electric fence being plugged in.

  • Normally I'd probably make fun of Adam for being a wuss, but I grew up on a farm, and we used the brand of fencer they used on this episode, and the very thought of coming in contact with it was enough to shy me away from it. The one time I did accidentally come in contact with it, it literally knocked me on my ass, and was not funny at all (my brother, who normally looks upon any sort of pain on my part as a chance to mess with me, was stone-cold silent after this particular incident). Adam was entirely justified in being a little pissed about this, and I think everyone involved was lucky the cameras were rolling, as I think it tempered Adam's rage. All things considered, he's actually a much better sport about it than I think most other people would be.

  • I heard that the prank was actually one of the producers idea's and that the whole crew was basically against it including tori and grant. Pranking is fine, especially when done safely and in good fun, but in a situation where things could go bad it's kind of a betrayal of trust.
