A CGI tour through the sets used in the making of Doctor Who's The Trial of a Time Lord, in BBC Television Centre's TC1 from 1986. Designer Michael Trevor repurposed sets designed by John Anderson, Malcolm Thornton and Mike Kelt, and added his own extensions to them!
And apologies - my voice was going when I recorded this one...

    • Cheers, mate! I find the courtroom a bit boxy, but it does look very colourful and you can *just* imagine the floor slipping down into the darkness yards below...

  • I noticed that you have included the bit of corridor outside the interior TARDIS console room door for The Master, but even though I have never seen a copy of the plan for the studio, I remember when I watched the scene, where Glitz and The Master talk about The Doc being bombarded by the process which switches his brain off, and I am sure it takes place in front of the scanner, even though they probably had a couple of extra walls painted black. Once again, I don't want to be nitpicky, as it's a lovely video, I could swear I saw Ant's eyes move as the camera passed the Matrix screen. ;)

    • Nitpick away! That's what we're here for... :) I'm not sure I quite follow what you're saying, but the interior walls were present on the studio plan, so I'm assuming they were built for the studio. The scene with the Master and Glitz does indeed take place in front of the scanner.

    • The walls were used in the studio like you said, but what I was saying about the inclusion of the extra black walls, is that, in the clip, Colin the Doc is standing on one side, next to the console and the outer door, and Ant and Tony were standing in front of the corner of the scanner on the other side of the room, I bet you would agree that sometimes it is tricky to describe what is easier to explain with something visually. Overall, I think everyone will be intrigued about the set and how it was laid out, and dig the attention to detail.
