    • Yes boxing is a mental game and a chess match. But endurance and power is important to. if you have no power no one will respect your punches. IF you have no endurance, you will falter in the later rounds even if you are more skilled then your opponent. Plus styles make fights. Some boxers are sluggers or power punchers and rely less on these tactics. Though obviously a complete boxer uses every advantage they can get. Be it superior speed, reach, feints, conditioning your opponent, exploiting their weaknesses.

He was creating a mental flow chart based on the reactions he received from his option choice. Conditioned him to react again and acted accordingly. Really smart boxing. Definitely shows his skill, and high IQ. Goat behavior

I do not think he wants to fight him again. Watch the replay and you will see what I am talking about. He is a smart boxer in this generation with the power and outsmarts his opponent. You really have to be smart boxer to defeat him.

  • It's not that smart, in all honesty. Any boxer worth his salt tests his opponents reaction to all his own punches and moves as early as he can once that bell rings. He just made a move based on a jab reaction. Carrying it out with that accuracy, speed, and quick decision making is why he's a champion.
