Yemen Is Facing the World's Worst Humanitarian Crisis, Then Coronavirus Came

2020 ж. 15 Мау.
317 663 Рет қаралды

The WHO estimates that at best, at least half of Yemen could be infected with the coronavirus and could become the worst manifestation of the virus because of the country’s depleted healthcare system. At least half of the hospitals there are not fully functional, with less than 1000 ventilators and ICU beds across the country, according to the WHO.
Yemen is also in the midst of the world’s humanitarian crisis. For nearly six years, it’s been locked in an intractable war that’s killed more than 100,000 people, pushed millions to the brink of starvation and caused the biggest cholera outbreak in history.

    • Moslty Steel @ITZ_ICY_GAMING no, what’s stupid is that we are STILL dealing with discrimination and racial bias, after it has ALREADY been proven that the bases in which discrimination and racism stand on were/are bullshit. You can’t be mad that people are angry that people are losing their lives, because of the color of their skin. It’s literally such a dumb thing to die for or to be judged by, especially sense there are problems like starvation and war crisis going on, that will require a greater effort to solve as well. Instead of thinking it’s so “stupid” that people are fighting for their lives to protect themselves from getting killed/taken advantage of over discrimination, how about you instead think how stupid it is that people still believe, kill, and live their life based on prejudices; be mad at THEM for making it a problem in the FIRST place🤨 *People who are fighting against racial injustice AREN’T the problem, it’s the people who are racist/prejudice that are.* I don’t know how you got that flip flopped around, but might I suggest that you review your morals.

Every faction is supported by a strong country, and corrupted commanders and leaders dont want to end the war fast because they are benefiting from it, and after all this things there is the African migrants who came to Yemen by thousands just to cross to Saudi Arabia, which made another crisis. However things in South Yemen (out of Houthi control) are getting much better.
