  • My dad’s a musician and song writer. When I was seventeen my folks asked me what I wanted to do with myself and I said “music obviously”. They warmed me that music was quite hard and you had to have a certain personality type to get it done. So you might want to find yourself a back up they said. I’m now 32 with two degrees behind me and close to £100,000 student debt and I work as a therapist on the stroke wards - and I love it! But this feels like what might have happened if I said “na I don’t care if it’s hard, let’s have it!” Never too late though.
