If you paid to watch tonight's game you got your money's worth as Laval battled hard all night and came up with a huge win as Arber Xhekaj continues to show how important he is to this teams impressive turnaround. Things were chippy but then started to get heated and several fights broke out. Logan Mailloux picks up another point, has 21 points in the last 28 games. Jakub Dobes is 8-1-2 since being pulled on 12-2.

  • What a great game that was. This game puts the stamp on the dominance Laval has accomplished the last few weeks. Most of our prospects in Laval are playing great hockey right now. What a time to be a Hab fan. Our prospect pool has never ever been this deep.

  • i wouldn't hate a Xhekaj-Mallioux 3rd pairing for the CH -- next year. Harris gets caved in every game, especially playing the right side, so may as well get some offensive benefit out of the minutes. oh right, this front office thinks its competing for a playoff spot next season, nevermind.

  • One of the things I miss about AHL hockey is how scrappy it can get when the teams are into it. I remember the old Ice Caps days, and that was fun. Last team AHL game I caught was in Winnipeg. The Moose and the Icehogs. I liked it. Cheap, fun, and you always get to watch the prospects in action.

    • Hershey vs Wilkes-Barre/Scranton was one of the best rivalries at the height of the Pittsburgh vs Washington Rivalry. Couldn’t have asked for much more being a fan of either team. And you both ended up winning a Cup.

  • I miss having Xhekaj is Montreal, Im sure they're loving havin him in Laval tho. His hand was REALLY swollen after that fight, didnt look good at all, if ur gonna fight, both guys should have the decency to take their helmets off first, like in the old days.

  • Simoneau a d'énormes cojonnes, j'adore! Le seul problème avec Arber, c'est qu'il n'est pas dans le bon club; lui et Mailloux semblent très bien se compléter, et on sait que Mailloux est dans le futur top 4 du CH. On gagne pas la Coupe cette année, mais pourquoi ne pas les faire monter les 2? Xhekaj appartient à la LNH, sur une 3e paire, DN, il l'a démontré. On a vu vs Ottawa comment les gars deviennent timides quand un Tkachuk s'en donne plein coeur. Mais le kid ne ferait pas ça en présence du Shériff, ne veut 0 dropper vs. Et Mailloux, est il pire que Barron, défensivement? Offensivement, les 2 contribuent à leur facon, et Mailloux est supérieur, aspect robustesse.

    • Je dis pas que je suis en accord ou en desaccord, mais le plan pour cette annee cest denvoyer le rocket le plus loin possible en series pour donner de lexperience aux jeunes, et en meme temps, a montreal on veut mettre en vitrine les gars qui fit pas dans les plans a long terme, genre armia, struble, harris, dvorak, allen, etc. avec un peu de chance on convainc une autre equipe de nous debarasser de 2 ou 3 de ces gars la Et non mailloux va, de loin, etre superieur a barron defensivement
