Mitsie Run - one happy bunny running with a leash (slow motion)

My bunny Mitsie running in the gardens. She was 6 months old. She is now enjoying free running without the leash in a smaller garden with good fence, however she's always been ok with the leash.
When you use harness and leash with your rabbit, be sure to have the leash long enough, 3 meters are much better, the leashes you buy are usually too short, rabbits tend to make sudden movements (as you can see at the end of the movie) and this is very uncomfortable and quite dangerous to both of you with short leash.
Please also consider that it is not like walking a dog. Rabbits walk their owners. They decide where to go and you should respect it.

  • I had a bunny he was 8 years old. I Always used 2 go with him outside, with out a leash. He just followed me like a dog😅 he was such a populair bunny where I lived everyone knew him. I miss him... r.i.p

    • Aww same happened to my little bunny my dad got two rabbits from the place he was working at and they were called Fluffy and Lily. I loved them both so much but then one day fluffy had to be put down because her teeth where to long. And then Lily died cause her paw got stuck somewhere and she got to be put down aswell. (Put down means that there heart stops beating slowly) And after Lily died everyone started hating me but my parents. but I said good night to Lily nearly every night and begged them to come back but they never did...A year later we got another rabbit named Lil Pete and he's still with us today he is naughty, funny ,silly and cute.   • Reminder: Rabbit leashes are only used if you want your rabbit to run around freely without losing it. It should not be used to control your rabbit as it might choke the rabbit’s neck.

    • True true, but some leashes are able to hold it without choking it to easily! It also looked like the rabbit was loving it out there, so I don’t think anything went wrong! And of course maybe not every day to control the little cutie with a leash, but it can be used sometimes!

    • clorox bleach That's not true. You can teach rabbits to walk on leash when they're old. Remember the age old phrase "teach old dogs how to sit"? Rabbits are intelligent. That's not to say your bunny in particular will enjoy however, it's just like how not all dogs enjoy having their collar on.

  • I have turned into the cat "bunny" lady of my neighborhood. At first I wanted absolutely nothing to do with any rabbit as I called them "Rats".... stumbled upon tem baby bunnies someone just threw outside. My love didn't blossom right away..But after I spoke bunny talk and learned their lingo... I started to like them. as I grew to know them even more...I absolutely fell so deeply in love with them. I have ten rescues I claim are all mine.. They are my fur babies.. PLUS have 21 others I rescued from horrible conditions and horrific lives covered head to toe with ticks, mites snuffles, critical stomach bloat, on deaths door step barely even alive. Hoping to pass the incredible healing love that they bring into a home. THEY ARE AWESOME CREATURES.
