There's actually a bug where if you put an anvil in a soul sand elevator, it still counts to the 'blocks fallen', meaning you can drop an anvil 2 blocks and it can kill someone. (note: they despawn after 30 seconds)

Actually, we can make this higher (I think, I have yet to test it) Because falling anvil is an entity, like sand and gravel and concrete powder, We can use a setup that launches the anvil to the 257th y coordinate and then drop it. Edit: the idiocy of the people in the replies is insane

The reason ur stuff disappeared when you looked away for a millisecond was cause when you saw it, the timer passed the 5 minute threshold, but items can’t disappear when in view, so when you glanced away, it was out of view of all players so it despawned

I had that same glitch happen to me when I fought the dragon on my Java survival world. The glitch where your stuff insta-despawns when you die. My entire god set, all my potions, etc gone. I’m honestly surprised it’s so inconsistent, especially for how devastating it is. Meaning if Mojang were to try and investigate by replicating, it just might not happen.
