This is exactly why I said that this is not the time for there to be cameras in front of these kids. They have a lot to work through and this is exploitation of their emotional turmoil. The boy is literally in tears regularly and it’s being captured on film for random strangers to view and pick over. This isn’t right. It’s scary to see how although Korea is heavily patriarchal, this father was unable to stand up for his own family. How could it be a mutual decision for him to get custody if his mother had to convince him that he could do it? Wouldn’t he be confident that he could do it?
I don’t understand why Korea doesn’t have joint custody. They can go to her place for a week, and stay at his place for a week, and so on. Three weeks is too long not to see your other parent when you are this young.
I believe it was a joint decision for the dad to have full custody because the dad was more financially stable than the mom and they didn't want to remove the kids from the house, because they didn't wanna take the kids out of an environment they were already comfortable with.
I heard Minhwan once saying they meet their mom three days a week and she can meet them anytime too
@@anne19777Guess you dont know the korean reality and laws!! As a patriarchical society divorce is not accepted as you can see from the mother in laws attitude! Women are expected to become housewives so there is no personal income. Yulhee was too young when she got pregnant and didnt save up money! Women are treated as second class citizens so be a divorcee and with kids will cause lots of difficulties especially for women! In short the law in most cases give the custody to dads! In Europe kids at that age are considert too young to not be close to their mother and they all can stay in their house, even If its dad's property until kids become adults! Joined custody means both parents can take decisions for their kids and their expences according to their income!! The law first of all protects the children!!
They wanted to do joint custody but the mom works much more often so wouldn’t be home as much and dad is also more financially stable. Dad tries to let the kids see their mom as much as possible despite their personal issues 💕

When her husband go to the military, Yulhee was alone with three childrens... the twins with only some months of age She is a really good mom and love so much their childrens, this situation not is her fault is the horrible rules that the judges put after the divorce sentence And is so unfair that only present one part of the situation like a "single dad", and what happened with all the hate that she is receiving when they make her seem like she abandoned them Sorry for her

Makes me sick watching the mom interview lol.only now she realized no one can replace a mom?then why did she criticized yulhee parenting style so much,interfere so much & give her such a hard time?did she realized she's the reason for their divorce? there's a reason why they settled their divorce quietly and only tell her after everything was finalized.or else she would attack yulhee and curse her out.minhwan is also a jerk.during this hard time he should be considerate and protect his children but instead put them on national tv for people to see.i don't know what's going on his brain.did it never occurred to him this is a very bad idea for the kids.for what purpose?to show the world he is a great dad?
Well to scrape the bad side out of his career i guess. Knowing celebs or high profile, media.,, they dont want scandals... so the manager will find a way to clear it. So it could not damage its incoming/current projects.... just notice how during his interviews its like " "i" dont know ...,, "im hurt" "his heart" its all about him.... sorry i too dont know the real story behind, but i sense something in my guts n know too many show to know whats genuine.

Divorce is difficult for adults to handle, can you imagine what a child goes through. It's ten times worse, this baby boy needs both mother and father to spend time with him together, both parents, so he can see it's not his fault and his mom and dad still love each other . 🙏🏾🙏🌏
i don't know why i get this strong feeling from inside that they can become one as a family again, my gut has never been wrong i hope they both give themselves time and get back together.

Bc is a variety show about fathers parenting, in other houses the mothers are free to do anything they want and leaves the fathers with their kids, the only difference in this is they're divorced.

Nope!! Yulhee got a lot of critisism for letting her kids and got a divorce! Although koreans know how things are in their society, they talk bad! But Minhua also gets some bad comments. But no the reaction is not the same as international fans since in western world the mentality and laws are way different than in korea!!

@@akiimmy7461 we can't possibly know and it wouldn't matter but they chose to come back to the show! So people commenting... Both of them where young and there was a fast pregnancy! Yulhee became a house wife at the age of 22 without making her dreams true!! Financially weren't stable and they had to live close to Minhua's parents! His mother often interfere in their life and upbringing of kids making Yulhee sad! Then came the twins and Minhua went to military living his young wife with three kids! They never had the chance to mature, communicate as a couple as they became parents at the same time!! They didn't follow their dreams and from my experience all of these drive you apart! Maybe Yulhee had offers to go back to her job and that made her more anxious! All of these in my experience can bring problems that a young couple can't huddle! Especially a couple which didn't have the time to grow together,learn each other and became parents so soon! And knowing the Korean society they Trully had a difficult time, especially Yulhee who had to face a mama boy and a mother in law who always criticized her...
International fans obviously take the side of Yulhee bc they're used to support the mother than father, but in Korea it's opposite, now they can see how bad the society is with the fathers who are not supported as the mothers.

Wow... now the mother in law is crying bc her son is divorced, but if you search some videos ago (2 year ago aprox) you could see how she criticized many things that Yulhee did with her soons and her husband NEVER said something for stopped his moms attitudes So yes, the mother in law definitly was a important rol in the divorce
Yeah i agree , you can see it in the past video that she always interfers eith the wife rising the children and decision making, also the son always favors the mother side, which is which not the wife or they can talk it alone without the in law interrupting the talks, the mother in law is a drama queen and always minding the whole family do's and dont , the son maybe a good son to his mother but he failed to be a good husband.
They don't know the harm that they cause to their children by the decision where the children should stay. This will leave a mark in their children's heart. If family is broken what do you expect the society of many broken homes ...

Good! I live in korea not so close to my parents in law but from the start they knew they cant huddle me!! They knew I would leave in a minute talking my triplets! Especially now that I have the korean citizenship... Probably my education, career finance make them afraid of me! 😂😂😂 They treat me in a cold, typical way! Now I'm travelling back to my country with my kids for Easter! They didnt aprove but my husband yelled at them for the first time! I wish I was there to see her face... 😁

I've never understood why people make such a big deal about parents divorcing. Everyone talks about the trauma the children of divorcees go through, but that's only when the adults involved cause that trauma. My parents seperated when I was 4, my Mum explained it to us as her just not loving our Dad anymore. I'm sure we didn't understand to begin with, but after a couple of years, I was fully settled with it. It's much better for parents to seperate before things become toxic and you're constantly fighting. People that stay together "for the kids" are causing so much more trauma for their kids than the parents who seperate before it gets that bad, because your kids see and hear everything, even if you think they're ignorant to the things going on. I will always be grateful that my Mum got out when I was that young, because I have no memories of my parents together, no good ones, but more importantly, no bad ones! These kids will be fine in the long run, it's hard now, but as long as the adults involved keep the peace and make sure the kids know they can have a good relationship with Dad and Mum, they'll get used to it all eventually.

빨리 임신하고 빨리 결혼하고 남자가 집에 없고 혼자 3명 아이를 키우고 돌바주고 진짜 힘들었을텐데 이혼은 예상할수 있는 것이었다고 생각해요 그래도 지금 이 상황에서 프로그램에 나온 것이 안되는 일이라고 생각하는데 지금 아이들이 진짜 예민해요

maybe what these parents need is just time apart..yuhlee said she wanted to work on herself and it mustve been hard when MW was in military service and she raising the kids practically alone ..i think they would have some bitterness in their hearts for eachother but parents can do well even apart and still be good parents which is what it seems like here...Dont forget ppl grow everyday so nvr judge someones change..ppl always commenting on old stuff just let it go..no one knows their situation more than them and i think the family is beautiful i love watching this show and fathers getting a chance to bond with their kids more and learn more which they often don't bc of careers. Overall this is a very fun show and the casting is always great... if any complaint they seem to paint the divorcee as to sad or aim at jerking the heartstrings..i hope they keep showing positive and good content like they do with the other dads

Korea as patriarchical society is very harsh to women! Divorce is still not acceptable so a woman with kids will cause lots of bad commenting and many difficulties! Also after marriage women usally quit their job so they dont have a income! And the law system is totally different from many western countries!! It doesnt have flexibilty and no interest to protect the family!

Yulhee couldn't work cause of their kids! She had to perform with her group while she was pregnant!! And then quit! Perhaps she got some offers and she is too young to stay a house wife! She probably wanted to persue a carrier and that caused problems! It was a mutual decision cause of the circumstances but it wouldn't be any other way even if Yulhee wanted to!!

Voy a dar mi humilde opinion desde la lejania y en mi idioma, el español. Los niños deben estar protegidos, no ser expuestos en publico, como este niño y sus hermanas. Me duelen sus lagrimas, esto en Europa jamás sucederia, no lo puedo entender. Desconozco las leyes coreanas, pero se que es una sociedad pratiarcal, desconozco las causas del divorcio de esta pareja, he visto algunos programas, y lo siento por la suegra, pero deberia reflexionar, si su comportamiento hacia su nuera fue el mejor, rebatia las comidas de los niños, su tiempo de juegos, permitia y alentaba que el niño pudiera dormir con ella etc...Pero su hijo no la contradecia y la nuera no decia nada para no molestarla, pero sufria mucho. El primer error de esta pareja fue vivir con la madre de él, ella dejo su carrera y se dedico a cuidar de la casa y los niños, otro error, se puede trabajar y ser madre, todas lo hacemos, no es fácil, pero lo hacemos. Al final los niños son los que sufren un divorcio, y sus sentimientos y vida diaria expuestos al publico, una tristeza enorme por este niño, que se ve claramente que echa muchisimo de menos a su mamá.
