  • Very interesting project. But the pond is not water tight. For anyone interested in building something like this. Remember this! -This video is made for entertainment purposes. - The paint used is not ideal for water contact. - Not the right conditions for fish to live in. - And most important! In a short period of time you will have lots of leaks and infiltration. Otherwise very entertaining and great for gathering some ideas for those that want to have things done properly.

    • The first stage of failure should have appeared to be evident by now if it hasn’t been extensively maintained. Saponification will cause the paint to fail because the cement wasn’t fully cured when coated.

    • It's a whole lot of water. That much water makes cement crack. I too am curious. I've tried to replicate few videos on yt and always end in cracks, even for those who do tell amounts.

    • Just remember to waterproof the insides of the pots and also inside of the pond with waterproofing paint otherwise it won't be watertight.
