The spongebob dark humor comment called me out. But hey, I feel like there's a common understanding of decency when making dark jokes. Racism is a social taboo, but flies under dark humor because it's easy to reciprocate under how common stereotypical identities are assigned to pretty much any race. Same with sexism. When it gets down to it, these kinds of jokes are great because of how easy it is to contribute to the joke from any party involved. Just remember, set your boundaries and know your audience. If you throw hands with these kinds of jokes, be able to take them in return. That spongebob video was vile and I laughed because it was genuinely funny, but I myself wouldn't joke about women having miscarriages online or irl. My mother had a miscarriage before me and it fucked her up emotionally. Glad she saw the light and had the strength to move on from a sad situation. There's an obvious difference between a fatal accident in trying to bring life into this world versus making fun of a people's tendency toward certain behaviors. And yes, I do not think 911 jokes are funny (they are, it's just the fact that they are so overdone).
