If Nintendo is “restructuring” their testing department because volume is low, that gives a lot of credit to there being a bunch of remasters that have been done for a while and just sitting on the shelf until Nintendo wants to release them, which would now be the second half of 2024.
Not expecting a hardware announcement, but Metroid makes a lot of sense.

I'm still in shock that they haven't put gens 1-3 for pokemon on nso yet those games alone would make some people want to get nso and for colosseum and xd they could just do what they did with pikmin 1+2 in terms of just upscaling it, I don't know I also feel like it would be a good idea since we aren't getting a new game until 2025 with Z-A so it could fill the gap.

It seems to me that when it comes to Nintendo stuff happening it's more anticipated then Sony or Xbox news.
Sony just gave up on releasing first party games. Layoffs with US developers is a big part of it. Nintendo is gearing up for some crazy shit with the big metroid rollout tho
Sony chose the path of live service games thanks to Jim Ryan and they wasted a lot of resources and money, as a matter of fact the amount of their games will be less this gen than on ps 4 or on previous gens, I think next 4 years we should expect several big exclusives and that is it, like 4-6 maybe not more, so yes Nintendo is a king this gen, we ll see if Nintendo can deliver next gen after they release switch 2

I seriously hope we get either a new trailer and release date for Metroid Prime 4 or a HD Remaster of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes at the next Direct. I could care less which just so as long as it isn't something that disgraces the franchise like Other M and Federation Force.
Tbh besides federation force, I would take any metroid game on the switch. Even other m imo had a pretty good gameplay and combat. Prime 2 remaster would be so hype tho
@Terminator1784. At this point they could Remake Super Metroid for all I care just so as long it's a great game that does the franchise justice. Though Metroid Prime Hunters would probably benefit the most from a full remake.

2023 was a year where Nintendo went all out and 2024 is probably time for them to coast on re-releases while working hard on the upcoming stuff. However, if you remember, the middle of last year everyone was talking about how quiet Nintendo was and how we didn't know anything coming down the pipeline and it started a lot of nervous speculation, but it ended up being fine we got some good stuff, like Mario Wonder. I'm expecting a mainline direct sometime soon also, because of the lack of the February one. It might be possible that there was a bigger direct planned but they decided instead to have it a bit later at the same time they delayed the next console. The fact that it's been over a year since Metroid Prime Remastered was released and we haven't seen any sign of Prime 2 and Prime 3 is a bit odd, but it actually does make sense when considering the delay for the next console and the potential chain reaction of delays for other plans. I was expecting Prime 2 and Prime 3 in February and for Prime 4 to be a launch title with the new system, I still feel like that's the situation but it's just been postponed a little bit. Also my prediction for Pokemon Gameboy games on NSO still stands, I swear they're going to do it the next direct. It's been a year now since they added Game Boy to NSO, I mean come on.

Yes, I do think that we’ll get an April Direct. If we do, I hope to see more info on Metroid Prime 4 & Pokémon Legends Z-A, something new for the NSOs(mainly SML1 for GB), and the new Mario Kart/3D reveal. I wanna say the next Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, but some sources say it’s already here, though I find this hard to believe. What do you guys think of this?

I highly disagree with Dkc trilogy remastered. Those games are perfect.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the originals and still think they’re masterpieces to this day. That’s said, I still would love to see them remade with hd visuals.
Whether it'll be in April or later on, here's what I'd like to see in the next Direct: • New info on _Professor Layton and the New World of Steam._ • More games for the N64 on NSO (for me, _Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong 64,_ and _Banjo Tooie_ ). • GameCube for NSO (or more GameCube HD ports for the Switch). • Teaser for the Switch 2 (or whatever the next possible console will be called).

Oh damn dude, Donkey Kong Country All-Stars is a great idea. Since Mario 3D All-Stars had literally nothing in terms of content other than just the games which were ported (I mean, there was literally zero effort put into that, all I wanted was... like...a freaking star to appear next to the games in the main menu when you beat them), maybe they could just let Capcom handle DK All-Stars, Capcom does a great job with their collections.

If a leaker is right awesome if not it's nothing to get bent out of shape about. An April direct does make sense this year considering how much of a blank slate it is for them and nothing says they won't do it people are just not used to an April direct. So just keep your eyes open for now is all.

After the last Nintendo Direct and Pokemon Day, Nintendo has set the bar so low that anything will be seen as just "good" at this point. They've dropped the ball the last 2 years of the Switch as far as quality and consistently good games being released. The ports like Batman, Hitman, and Hogwarts were so horrible and disappointing. We had more from indie than Nintendo to look forward just in the last 6 months.

ninintedo milking that cow. the switch is just soooooo old and outdated now. i would guess this year there a bit out of order. i think theyd planned this year to be the big switch 2 year but a few months ago changed there minds and decided to push it back in order to milk the original switch for one more year.

why do people actuallly think theire was a real intern delay for the new console. Nintedo was never going to release earlier then before they planned to. ich is 7 or 8 years into the switch life cylcle. The intern delay is just nintedo's way of sticking to their original plan. i am not saying theire was no intern delay anounced within Nintendo but what it really is, is just a excuse to stick to what they wanted from the get go. Because Nintedo never listens to theire fans. They just stick to what they want.
As much as i like Metroid Prime, the gameplay of the Wii can't be matched. Another remake of a classic game that had better gameplay is not what i need.

I'd take a bet that a Nintendo Direct would be the perfect way to reveal that Mario will be making his debut as the lead giant character balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
