The white out before putting washi on blew my mind. I HATED the black headers in my planner but this tip makes me so happy.
One thing I do sometimes is pick a skinny one with a repeating pattern (like single circles or stars) and run it vertically in a box in place of a checklist sticker. It works well when I have more tasks than a checklist sticker can accommodate.

If I was consistent enough to keep a planner like that, and creative enough to do all these cool themes and layouts my planner would be my biggest pride and joy.

Your art/creativity is inspiring!!! Such beautiful spreads One way I use Washi in my happy planner is to “fix” the holes for the discs. Sometimes my pages get used so much that the holes get stretched (or rip) so I will take a washi and run it down the side then repunch the page. It provides a little color and definitely reinforces the strength so the page stays put. 😊
Coming here to say this! It also works if you change planners quite a lot and want to re-punch it with a different style punch, eg. filofax to happy planner or vice versa

Can always put the extra snippets on a plastic sleeve for using later, or design a custom divider with a patchwork of snippets.
That rainbow chakra spread and the mountain spread are fantastic. I have a new planning goal. (Make a washi.tree or mountain). You are amazing.

The way you do your layouts is interesting. It's so functional yet pretty. I struggle to find the balance sometimes. I'm mainly a functional planner girl as a rule, but I've been trying to decorate more since I have stickers that just weren't being used.

I love this!! I have a lot of washi tape for no real reason other than added frill when I mail out packages. But I am presently dedicating a planner all Halloween theme because it's my favorite holiday, favorite style and decorations and I get winter blues so why not have something I can go to daily that brings me to a happy place. Some great ideas, thanks! I like washi but I don’t always use it. One thing I do when the the color/pattern on the inside disc border isn’t what I want, I’ll cover with washi and re-punch with my HP paper punch.

One of the ways I use washi now is creating a flip-out. I use Cocoa Daisy inserts, which has many extra pages for weekly spreads. Attach half of the page to one side, and you have a flip-out.
