This Cessna 182P is for sale. Please see details, photos and logbooks in the link below
www.aerolifeaviation.com/Item...
Even though this isn't a full review of a Cessna 182P model, it is quite detailed and you will see a walk around of the airplane, interior, Cessna 182P performance specs and flight. Also in this video we get to try the newly released Garmin aera 760 GPS. You'll see how we use it in different phases of flight during the video.

  • Enjoyed watching your advertisement. I owned a 1975 Cessna 182P and enjoyed flying it for many years, an excellent plane. One mistake you made was the horsepower, it is 230hp, not 235. I live in Alaska and equipped it with 850 tires for landing off airport on gravel bars or ridge tops. The camber lift wings enhanced the short field performance. I also flew between Alaska and the Pacific Northwest a couple of times, and appreciated the 80 gallons fuel range.

  • as a fellow pilot, Great Job with the video presentation and going over the aircraft features and performance. top job! THANK YOU SO MUCH for using a wireless headset that mics you for the video. So many never think to use this and makes their narratives horrible to listen too, especially outside with wind and moving away from the camera. You guys got this!!

  • I'm a long way from purchasing an airplane (someday.... someday...) even still, I appreciate the level of detail that you present as to the airworthiness, handling, and aeronautics of the planes you advertise. It's a refreshing perspective from the usual eye-candy spin around a hanger-ed plane and talk about the upholstery... okay, it's nice if the plane has attractive carpet & seats... but not terribly high on my list of priorities when picturing myself intent on getting back down safely when faced with marginal or degrading conditions. I'll keep lurking with special consideration to your channel until one day I just can't resist. :P

    • I think you're on the right track. All 3 airplanes you mentioned are good choices. Cirrus is a very nice plane - make sure to check the parachute repack date as that has required intervals and I think that costs close to $20k (only reason I mention is that is one point some people could overlook when considering a Cirrus). SR22 is a much faster and more modern plane than the 182P

  • I noticed now we use the term “motor“. I see people saying this . Many years ago when I was flying it was referred to as an engine. A Cessna 310 was referred to as a twin engine aircraft. Is it now a twin motor aircraft? What is the difference between an engine and a motor? If there is no difference how have we evolved to the term motor over engine? I honestly don’t know the answer to this and I would love to learn. Many thanks to all.

    @observer1242@observer12423 жыл бұрын
    • I always thought engines used some sort of fuel (gas, diesel, etc) and motors were generally electrical. But I guess the words have become more or less interchangeable.

      @briancarl4107@briancarl41073 жыл бұрын
    • Yes. An engine uses a fuel source which undergoes a chemical change to produce power. A motor uses a substance which does not undergo chemical change e.g. electricity, hydraulic, pneumatic ( air) etc. It’s not a jet motor. I am hoping we can get away from this vocabulary.

      @observer1242@observer12423 жыл бұрын
    • My grandfather who was a WWII pilot and a lifelong aircraft mechanic taught me that a "motor" is electric and an "engine" is fuel burning.

      @nearkolob@nearkolob3 жыл бұрын
    • Great question! Your definitions are correct. The FAA considers piston and turbine power plants engines. This is evidenced in the FAA aircraft type, such as single-engine land (ASEL), multiple engine land airplane (MEL(A)), or airplane single-engine sea (ASES). However, class names being entrenched and simple, an airplane with a single electric motor as the power plant and having only wheels will likely be classed as ASEL.

      @michaelwhitehurst1182@michaelwhitehurst11823 жыл бұрын
    • I agree with the other responses here. The proper terminology is engine but it has become common to say motor interchangeably. We will try to use engine in the future.

    • You can't land a Cessna 182 with 42kt crosswind. The day our pilot landed this plane it was gusting to 42kts less than 10 degrees off the runway heading.
