Does that means that Mirage is basically Wiliams Miles sitting on the animus experiencing Basim's memories????? That's some smart writing!!!
Well done Ubisoft, only took you 2 years to conclude the story
Now I understand why Basim is here in the present. He is, if not, one of the few keys for the creed to truly strike back against the order.
What’s even the story anymore?
Wow I’m glad I played as male Eivor. Female Eivor’s VA is cringe
All these comments, can we just appreciate that basim is a mastermind. And has a conscious thats much older then any assassin thats ever lived.
Finally the closest we get to a mythical representation of an Isu to explain science stuff since Odyssey and Valhalla's secret cutscene
It's always sad to see the story ends, no matter which character. I felt emotional when Odin and Eivor appeared in the scene, Basim stood behind and watched them, and the Ezio's Family Valhalla version played in the background. Truly a farewell. A great journey we all had, and an exciting adventure ahead with Mirage.
Basims reincarnated memories as Loki makes him OP now if you think about it. He now has all that knowledge of the ISU in present day along with all the calculations he performed and studied while trapped in World Trees. I legit believe (with Williams help), he will break into a Templar facility to retrieve Desmond’s body. From there he will bring his body to World Trees where Laylas body is. With the Staff, he will regenerate their bodies and retrieve their consciousness’s from the cloud and restore them to physical form. All 3 of them together would take down the Templars for good.
“I need you to bring my son back” Desmond gets pulled out of the animus and Basim is revealed to be an ancestor of Altair
My Theories:
It's very fascinating to finally see a proper scene where an Isu tries to explain technical terms of natural concepts to a human whose mind is still primitively developed and not yet able to fully grasp them. We saw this somewhat with Aletheia and Kassandra conversing about the Isu simulations but that seemed more like Kassandra being able to understand on her own terms in time rather than Aletheia trying to properly describe them.
William: have you encountered the bleeding effect yet
Basim with his wolf shirt lol. A little hint that loki has really overcome basim and he's got some little surprises for us
William miles wants 1 thing in return ..
I hope Basim becoms the Mentor of the modern brotherhood and teaches them how to be real assassins would be sweet to get modern story back into relevance
This final update to the story got me super excited for Mirage and I can’t wait to see where they go with the modern story arc. I also came close to balling my eyes out at the final cutscene where Basim watch Eivor and Havi overlooking the valley next to the cabin…like I was a millisecond away from sobbing xD
My concern is that Basim is hoping that his memories and “encounters” with Loki will break William from the inside out.
I got to give this to Valhalla, they truly got the modern day somewhat up and running again.
