  • Thats absolutely amazing work of art. Each and every piece has tradition and hard work of many many generations. No one can put a price tag to these. If you are able to pay for such a work of art, you are blessed. Cherish it for generations. These are not toys. Whatever someone pays is like a donation. No one can actually buy such an art. I wish these artists and art works are supported and appreciated people and government but cannot be bought. Lots of love and admiration from India. ❤

  • Considering the level of craftsmanship, and the time consuming work, these must be considered works of Art, and the prices must be commensurate with the level of devotion to creating them.

  • @ 23:50, Now I can better understand the making of the "Japanese Friendship" dolls made back in the 1920-30s. I'm also studying Japanese Kokeshi Dolls (Manami Okazaki) book. I am so impressed with Japanese handcrafts and their exquisite beauty. Thanks to all who put this together for the world to appreciate.

    • Several years ago, a local department store in my city and country, sponsored an exhibition of the most beautiful Japanese dolls created by skilled artisans. When I enquired about the purchase of these exquisite kimono-clad dolls, I was told that ONE person purchased the whole collection for $2,500.00. There was also a doll dressed in the traditional wedding kimono but the whole collection was extraordinary. Mr. Tanimura embodies the ultimate skill and craftsmanship embodied in his creative genius.

  • All the respect for the mastery of these artists, I like that they keep the traditions of hundreds of years of the manufacturing process in handicrafts, only one thing surprises me, how can you stay in your own house with a mask on your face? are the Japanese really that scared of Covid?

    @leatheraccessories646@leatheraccessories6463 ай бұрын
    • Japanese have long worn masks in and outdoors long before COVID. They will wear them for anything from the common cold to even just air quality due to pollen. That's how their culture has been for a very long time (after a quick google search, it looks like it dates back to the 1800's). Japan's culture is considered to very polite compared to others around the world, so they not only wear masks as to not get others sick (where as in America it seemed more like we were told to wear them as to not get sick ourselves) but they even consider it good manners to cover their mouths while chewing food, talking with something in their mouth, and even smiling or laughing.
