I admire Fox's old futuristic graphics
I love whenever a team scored in this score bug & you got that laser sound effect. So awesome!
ElvisBrows27 YES
Honestly, I hated it. I prefer how it was last season compared to this or the Super Bowl LIV graphics
Much better than it is this year!!!
Indeed the FOX score bug from 2001 & 2002 was the absolute best
many folks dont realize, how good McNabb really was.. just that escape-ability alone, would drive opposing teams up the wall
The forgotten early game on before the Tuck Rule game in Jan 02
True
Little did we know the Patriots' two-decade period of domination began later that night
I loved how mcnabb scrambled around the pocket to keep the play alive like Russell Wilson.
Oh that’s a good comparison I’d say mcnabb is better
Trevor Promes lmaooooooooooo wtf 😂😂😂😂😂
Trevor Promes u deff don’t no sports dummy 😂😂😂 russ 1M times better than Mctrash
Mj yeah their both really good. You’re probably right with rus being better but as an eagles fan I gotta go with my boy mcnabb
Trevor Promes I don’t care if McNabb was your dad boy everybody know he ain’t no russ lol
Final game at old soldier field and also the final game for the lower case "Chicago" and "Bears" in the endzone. They should go back to this style!
I agree!!!! I hate that they renovated Soldier Field back in '03! It is removed from the US landmark trademark. #SMH
@@terucks It looks like a fucking space ship now hahaha
FUCK SHITCAGO !!!
@@terucks Because it's a POS stadium !!!
@@jasonzaremba4551 what pos stands for? lol
The Eagles would never had made the playoffs from 2000-03 without McNabb at QB! He worked magic with GARBAGE wide receivers
Facts! McNabb would have won at least 2 SB titles if he had weapons during that 2000-2003 run.
Mike Youngblood imagine if TO and him would have stayed together and gotten along
@@edzano21 He had weapons its just Andy reid was conseritive coach and bad clock managememt
@@Criminalpresident45 Yep,win the coin toss, elect to receive, commercial, kickoff, commercial, come back to Eagles on opening drive, old Andy runs out the play clock, calls time out all because he can not call a play to start a game. I watched this happen more than once by the way.
Tim Levis He seems to have fixed that With Mahomes. Lol. Or maybe Mahomes fixed him.
Last time I was this early it was called the NFL Vault
I remember this game. The Bears and Eagles allowed the fewest points that year, so everyone anticipated a defensive battle. But the Bears had no answers for McNabb.
Mike Conville yeah me too
Mike Conville Jim Miller wasn’t McNabb
more like the bears offense couldn't stay on the field!
AJ Stanton that bcuz they were garbage
Mike Conville absolutely Philly destroys the 88 bears without the fog
This is such a great channel. You guys deserve more subs. Its so cool to see past games that you haven't seen before. EDIT: Thanks so much for the edit 😁!
The one thing I remember about this game was it simultaneously being played with the return of Michael Jordan to Chicago playing with the Wizards.
It happened after that game, albeit on the same day though.
It was also the early game before the tuck rule game.
Mcnabb never should’ve bulked up like he did. Got slower and heavier and started getting hurt more. His first few seasons he had game changing quickness.
Dang This was 17 years ago already??? sheeessshhh!
Yeah..... Do you not keep track of time?
@@richardharper4637 obviously he's just shocked at how 2001 didn't seem that long ago....
@@bmorebirdsnest92 but it was 19 years ago? How is anyone shocked that that much time passed? Guessing he didn't watch much NFL till this year.
Richard Harper *17yrs ago Jan.2002
As an Eagles fan, I sure do love having Nick Foles & Carson Wentz, but man, I sure do miss watching McNabb, especially pre-ACL tear. He was an absolute BEAST! Such a shame they couldn't get him any decent receivers outside of the locker room cancer T.O. In hindsight, McNabb kind of reminds me of a mix between Russell Wilson & Dak Prescott... He wasn't quite the prestine passer nor quite as clutch in the 4th quarter as Wilson was & didn't make the right decisions as much as Wilson does, but he was one hell of a deep ball passer, could throw on the run beautifully, had great sack-escaping ability, & was pretty accurate more often than not, just like Wilson. And he was kind of like Dak in that he was a bigger guy who could truck guys, make big running plays, & throw absolute bullets, but he at times missed reads, threw sloppy passes, held onto the ball too long & got confused by blitzes, & made questionable decisions.
CrysisOwnsHalo don’t compare mcnabb and russ to that bumass “QB” in Dallas TrashPrescott!💯😑🤡🚮 #FuckTheCowboys🖕🏽🖕🏽
Donovan was my favorite player for years... but to be fair, these highlight videos don't show the half-dozen throws per game that he drilled into the ground four yards short of his receiver
Kobe Is The Goat the eagles aren’t half the organization the Dallas cowboys are.
@@brianb900 Not in the last 20 years.
CrysisOwnsHalo you have to look at their history as a whole and not just the last 20 years. Both organizations have been around a lot longer than 20 years.
Jim Miller and Cade McNown kept this Bears team from truly competing. Somehow still went 13-3!!!
Rex Grossman may be the ultimate player holding back a team. The 2006 Bears were a magnificent team that lacked only the most important position in football.
This shows how good the bears were that year with urlacher he would have won 3 rings if they had a good QB I’m pretty sure they would have even won the SB with jay Cutler
It was a fluke season they were 5-11 the year before and the following year they were 4-12
vadimzdonutube the defense was great, the offense not so much. Also they had to play in a temporary stadium in 2002
@@vadimzdonutube 2002 they were hit really hard with injuries. 2003 was a who's who of joke QBs. Wasn't a fluke, they were good in 2005/2006 with a still fairly shitty QB. 11-5 in 2005 with Kyle Orton lol. 12-4 with Rex Grossman.
I'm getting old. But I love you for reminding me of it
Seems to be a running theme with Bears playoff teams in the 2000s. Carried by a stellar defense, ultimately let down by an 'okay' offense with suspect QB play. Let's see how it plays out this year.
aRBy125 as a bears fan I completely agree, our QB is hardly ever good but our defense is amazing. Trubisky is probably the best QB we’ve had since McMahon
Interestingly, the Bears lost but I thought Trubisky played a fairly decent game--at least well enough to win. We all know about the missed field goal, of course. Nice profile picture, by the way.
@@LukeR.5117 The problem was the Bears offense was so inept, they were settling for field goals when they should have scored touchdowns. It's the same old story, especially in the playoffs. The defense plays well enough to win, but doesn't get enough help from the offense. And of course, Trubiskey regressed last season into what most of the previous Bears' QBs were, and they declined to pick up his option. So he has to perform wellthis season, or he's gone.
And it ended with a playoff loss to the Eagles lmao
I miss the McNabb Eagles. And this is coming from a Raven fan
Urlacher was a beast. Great pass coverage, run stopper, and brutal pass rusher. The Bears always seem to get the good defensive players. Dawkins was also a monster before Kam Chancellor was a thought. A Hybrid with sick coverage and very hard hitting. I miss these guys.
As an Eagles fan... I miss that defense lol
Hugh Douglas Corey Simon Jeremiah Trotter Carlos Emmons Brian Dawkins Troy Vincent Bobby Taylor Al Harris. LOADED
2000-2004, amazing unit
Jim Rude Jovan Kerse, Dereck Burgess, Sheldon Brown...the list goes on!🦅🦅🦅
Those guys weren’t on this 2001 team
@@robertdredden5474 the good thing about Kearse was he was atletic and bounced up every time he got trucked
Another great bears season taken too soon, felt like this a couple of weeks ago
Love being able to go back and watch guys like Lynch, Urlacher, Brooks and Dawkins
yo that touchdown sound effect needs to make a comeback asap, that is so bad ass lol
Damon Moore didn't last very long in Philadelphia, but he had a nice postseason in 2001.
This might have been Mcnabbs best effort over an entire playoff game versus another teams D line. His movement and pocket awareness were on point here. Bears had a strong D that year too.
This was a master class in QB play.
That head to head hit at 1:38 would have definitely been called a Pennelly in today’s NFL. Also McNabb was a beast back in the day one of my favorite Eagles players.
Great observation, champ!!
The Eagles kicker David Akers was on the team in the 2000s during the 2004 super bowl and now he is a part of the Franchise of the Super Bowl Win over the Patriots in 2018
Eagles fans really can't give Wentz any excuses if you look at these guys McNabb was throwing to.
It's sad that them Urlacher Beats never had a decent QB
Derrick Nichols until Rex Grossman
TAVARI uh no. Until Orton or Cutler. They would have won that SB
Cutler was pretty good, just couldn't stay healthy. By the time we got a good QB we then had a bad offensive line.
Look at soldier field before the renovation.
last game i think
It's actually amazing that McNabb got the Eagles to the playoffs every year with hardly any receivers throughout his career.
@Razh 80 107 wins all time... 9 play off victories, yeah hall of fame elite
I meet McNabb and Staley after this game at midway airport. It was a kind of bittersweet moment. But McNabb was super humble
Do you remember the 1988 NFC divisional playoffs Philadelphia Eagles vs Chicago Bears known as the fog Bowl Soldier Field in Chicago Illinois with AstroTurf
Who doesn't
No it was grass during the '88 season. '87 was our last year with turf
@@DaBearsManiac he said 1988
@@bmorebirdsnest92 He also said AstroTurf, which was wrong.
The fog Bowl was not played on artificial turf the Bears got rid of artificial turf after the 1987 season
With all the ups and downs this season and injuries along the way it’s only fit that this eagles team is the 6 seed. They may win tmw they may not. I’m just happy they at least made it and didn’t give up mid season
The old paint look good on the stadium
Soldier field looked so different
It was renovated the next year, 2002.
Looks so much better, feel like it was louder too. Unfortunately never got to go to the old one
McNair and McNabb really get overlooked in the NFL history when mentioning QBs..The Eagles went to 4 straight NFC title games
They didnt show the cheap shot by Hugh Douglass knocking out Miller
Last game at Soldier field before the reno.
Last game at the old Solider Field
That roar from that bear crown when Merritt scored.
People forget how good Donovan mcnabb was cause of the criticism he faced after Eagles traded him
How did Todd Pinkston have a career at all. Guy dropped every ball thrown to him.
Michiel de Ruyter at least he was better than Freddie and didn’t cost a 1st round pick
Freddie Mitchell gave us 4th and 26. What did Pinkston ever contribute besides being terrified of getting hit?
Michiel de Ruyter nothing Pinkston and Thrash were ass but Freddie was drafted right before a bunch of superstar players and he only ended with 5 career TDs, talked about himself literally nonstop, before being the only player Bill Belichick has ever publicly ripped and dunked on, and subsequently never playing football again despite being only 25 years old. Freddie is one of the all time busts
TheLocalLt Oh, well then we are in agreement. I simply meant Freddie at least gave us that one magical play. If McNabb had the receivers we have now, I think we might have won 2-3 Super Bowls between 2002-2005...
Freddie was one of the all time busts in Eagles' and NFL history, but he had his moments in the playoffs, especially during the Super Bowl run in '04. I'll never forget the crazy touchdown he had in the playoff game against the Vikings. LJ Smith caught a pass from McNabb over the middle, got flipped head over heels, lost the ball and FredEx caught it out of mid air in the end zone for the score. He didn't always show up like the team expected him to, but he came through in some big spots. People tend to forget about that though.

This was 1 of 3 times that the Eagles defeated the team with the number 1 scoring defense in the NFL in the playoffs and scored the most points that defense had allowed all season. The Bears allowed only 12.7 points per game in 2001 and the Eagles nearly tripled that total. The Saints gave up an average of just 12.8 points in 1992 before Philly dropped 36 on their head in the playoffs. Then in 2017 the Vikings lead the league by holding opponents to an average of 15.6 points but got smashed by the Birds 38-7 in the NFC Championship game.
Jim Miller. Shane Matthews. Cade McNown. Rex Grossman. Imagine if they had a QB with this defense? Terrible.
Who’s going to prevail in today’s match up? Two well respected teams in playoff action should be a very enjoyable game experience. Get those snacks at the ready for NFL action at its best! Those men will risk life and limb to bring their respective fans more hope for glory.
Donovan and Steve McNair had similar styles of play at the quarterback position. They were fun to watch growing up
Mike Vick as well
Do any of Chiefs and Colts playoffs games from the 95, 03. 06, or 13 seasons
I dont give a shit about what anybody says about mcNabb. Show a qb in nfl history that made 4 strait nfc champ games with THAT wr corps....
Daam I remember this game like yesterday I was in 7th grade 11 yrs old or 12 lol and I'm 31 now. The A train (Anthony Thomas) rookie year I believe was a beast and big part of that offense even tho there QB went down in the season and the backup was a game manager. Wasn't enough in the playoffs tho. Bears were 13-3 that year I believe and one and done in playoffs
Two years after Eagles fans booed McNabb at the draft, he took them to the playoffs!! They didn’t deserve the run of success they had under McNabb!
Man shut up you sound like a hater
@@semionjohnson1351 you sound like a mo-ron
Do you answer please do you have this full game where can i watch this?
Grateful. Fly Eagles Fly.
Urlacher was Stoped by shitty QBs on his Team and McNabb was stopped by never having Great Weapons
Smh bears quarterbacks were so bad back then. That defense had a major weakness against passing too
Yes they were. But now our kickers are too. At least we have Trubisky tho.
Chitown4L Trubisky😂😂
@@me6017 That sure aged well, even if nothing really has ever really changed since! 😂(L.O.L.!)
Mcnabb was so good with his legs early in his carrer
Donavan McNabb can write a book on who to move around in the pocket... Its a thing of beauty... 🤟🏽🤙🏽💙
Donovan Mcnabb best game in an eagle uniform
Todd Pinkston has brick hands
The good ole days
This brings back some painful memories from when I was 12.
Oh god yes
If I remember right Mike Brown got a concussion in this game and they took his helmet away, the Bears were never the same team when he wasn’t on the field, 05 and 06 were perfect examples of that. He was the man but the body gave out. Urlacher got the headlines (rightfully so), but MB was the heart and soul of that D.
Both McNabb and Urlacher went to a Super Bowl. Neither one won a ring.
McNabb did more with less better than anyone Ive ever seen. Brady always had a go to. McNabb had T.O. For one and a half seasons. Put some respect on that man’s name.
Who was Brady's stellar go to from 2001-2004?
20 years ago tonight. 1/19/2022
Back when soldier field didn’t have the spaceship thing
I'm a Giants fan but Donovan McNabb was a good quarterback imagine Randy Moss on the eagles
Me too. The one season he had a true #1 was the only time he got to the Super Bowl. Too bad that someone had to be T.O. who did great for them at first, but inevitably tore the team apart, and sure wore out his welcome in a hurry also.
Do the Cowboys vs Seahawks 2007 playoff game
This was one of those games where the Eagles were “beating” the bears in most parts of the game, but were a few plays away from the score gap being much wider.
Mcnabb was the man But damn im tired of us BEAR FANS Going in games Always with the Lesser QB THATS OUR HISTORY
Yes let go eagles. History gotta repeat it self tomorrow
#5 was so good!!!
Boy was that a gifted TD lol. Roughing the Passer my ass lmao
Oh how I miss the hybrid 90s
I love how the Bears had zero clue how to line up against empty 😂
Haha true!
Shane Matthews makes Rex Grossman look like Joe Montana.
How is the hit on Miller not included in the highlights? Major negligence there, Mr. Editor.
I remember this game. Wanted Philadelphia to win. I like Dovann 👍 👌
I remember turning this off after the roughing the passer .Never watched the NFL again. Totally fixed.!!!
I think this was the last Bears game at the old Soldier Field before all the awful renovations.
It hurt me a great deal to see my 2001 Bears end the season like this. I thought we would get to the NFC Championship game in STL. ☹️
I remember I predicted Bears-Rams for the NFCCG and Raiders-Steelers for the AFCCG. I will say no more because the world knows what happened.
This contest was called by the trio of Dick Stockton, Daryl Johnston and Troy Aikman
Why did the nfl look more exciting back then it’s kinda sad
4:57 this would happen so much more if teams used a fullback
Todd pinkies together tried to lose that game for us, i remember how much he was just a deep threat but that was a great pass into the endzone he dropped. Ppl give Nelson crap but he made tons of plays for Wentz compared to Jefferies who only makes plays for foles.
6:45 DUCE LOOKS LIKE 2017 COREY CLEMENT
James Thrash is still one of my favorite players ever, and I'm not even an Eagles fan.
The 49ers had Jerry Rice, who was known as Flash 80. The Eagles had James Thrash, who should've been known as Thrash 80.
We aint had no consistent offense in forever. Defense be on the field the whole game keepin us in it smh.
They really breeze over the fact that Jim Miller got hurt in these highlights. It was a dirty hit and changed the game. The Bears had no chance after that.
I remember the Bears were actually respectable early in the ‘02 season until Miller got hurt again.
Forgot how much of a weapon McNabb was. Run and throw- dude could do it all.
Shouldve never changed the stadium ):
Well it was that, or get a whole new one instead of the massive renovation, as they couldn't play there as it was forever sadly.
Once again, the Bears' lack of an even remotely decent quarterback proves to be their downfall.
6:50 is just beautiful
6:18 how do you punt the ball 15 yards? is that real chicago punter/kicker? dejavu, lmao
Bruh who tf was mcnabb throwing tooo LOL. His elusiveness was crazy he was a 6’2 Russel Wilson
Way to many ppl saying Donny had nothing, Buck probably starts for some teams as our #2RB, duce was a stud at this point, chad Lewis was top 10 TE, Cecil Martin FB, thrash made more plays then ppl like to admit. Although todd was so horrible he still forced teams to have to account for a deep threat which allowed those under\middle throws look even back up TE had nice little game here.
As a football fan, nothing sucks much more than losing your starting QB in the middle of a playoff game. This game would have been tough to win, with or without Jim Miller. But if you need a QB to make a big play, Shane Matthews was not the guy you want to see under center
I'm 21 and the only players I know from this video is Donovan McNabb Duce Staley Todd Pinkston James Thrash Chad Lewis Troy Vincent David Akers Brian Urlacher Mike Brown
MinkahFitzGoat #FinsUp Freddie Mitchell?
The moment you remember pretty much none of the stars on those teams won a Super Bowl with those teams and the QBs they lost their only chance too won a combined total of 8 Super Bowls.
Lol why was Al Harris yelling at #83 on the Bears? 😆😆
