Never recomend this SCAM Acer brand. Low reliability, motherboard over after 3 months, bring to their unskilled repair service, off again after the warranty gg nice scam. Never buy Acer!!
Acer is doing a great job on their more budget friendly gaming laptops. Especially keeping those temps down. I bought the Acer predator Helios neo 16 a couple weeks ago and love it. 13th gen i7, 1Tb, 16gb ddr5 and the RTX4060. The gpu and cpu stay really cool and the extra m.2 slot is nice. I added a 2TB Samsung 980 pro and also upgraded the ram to 32gb. The display gets bright! For daily usage I keep it 50% and that’s plenty bright.
I really want your reply man I'm really confused to some extent I'm pretty sure about going with predator helios neo -16 is it worth every penny does acer has a great cpu and overall is it great for gaming and all usage?
@@niazahmed9535 I’m no expert on tech value. I forget the exact channel on here that has a website that rates these laptops on their value per dollar but I thinks it’s jarrods tech. I will say some of the features on the predator Helios neo aren’t exactly the same in every region. Like some with the same cpu, you, storage and memory come with a 720p camera instead of a 1080p like mine. And some don’t come with a microSD card reader like mine. But mine doesn’t have all the graphics on the lid or the light bar on the back. I was limited to Best Buy only because that where I have my credit card from. 12 months no interest. So I went with the best I could get for the amount I wanted to spend at the time I wanted it at Best Buy. It is a awesome laptop and I’m very happy with it. Upgradable without voiding warranty and 1440p 165hz screen.
Their also using Liquid Metal cooling on their processors a big step from the traditional thermal paste. Only drawback is replacing it in the future will be a tad difficult.
I have the predator Helios 300 GTX 1060 version. Still rocking 🔥🔥🔥🔥.

I like the way it looks personally. If it was a 4060 I’d say wow, great deal. Maybe $900 is a more appropriate price

I got the Nitro 17 Rtx 4050 R7 7840HS 1 terabyte 16gb ddr5 dual channel and i must say for $1000 its a steal only complaint is that mine came with some stuck pixels that are only noticeable when the background is black but no biggie just gotta buy a new screen later.
just return it and get another one. youre entitled to return within 15-30 days depending on country no questions asked

Hi, the answer is according to your usage. G5 will give you a better gaming performance than the Nitro 5 but Nitro 5 will give you better CPU performance. If gaming is your priority then go with G5 cuz in the Nitro 5 your GPU will bottleneck your CPU. If gaming isn't your main priority and you want a better CPU then go with Nitro 5

ROG G15 AE doesn't have a MUX switch or Smart Access Graphics, is using a much older CPU, it doesn't have a webcam or a lot of ports, and I think it's worth it to go a bit newer because of those reasons

Should I get this instead of the Asus Zephyrus 15 2022 model. I know this one has a 4070, but besides that, do you think the Asus would be worth it. The Asus is more expensive though, by about 700 dollars or so
$700 difference for the same spec?! damn... you know you can save that $700 for your future replacement laptop. But I guess it all depends on your preference... Meanwhile in user perspective: Zephyrus build quality is way ahead than Nitro, and other thing such as screen quality, ssd, and wifi, I guess zephyrus is also win in that area. This year Nitro may bewitched alot of people because the design is so slick and cool... but inside, Nitro will always be the more budget option.
why is it getting about 5 hours with 88 Whr with amd cpu?
That's the thing bro. It's not possible to get poor battery life out of a config like this. It's 100% something to do with the software/power profile tested on or may be the dGPU getting woken up. If one laptop with a 7940HS + 1200p display + 90Whr battery can manage 10+ hrs of battery, all other laptops with a similar config has to be around the same ballpark. It's simple maths really, TOTAL Battery capacity/total power consumption.
For 720p that webcam looks actually good.

Well it has its pros and cons. 3070 doesn’t have support for DLSS 3. 3070 is definitely a much more powerhouse but it also runs hotter than newer RTX 4000 series.
6 pounds, and RTX 4050. Yeah it's not expensive, but it's not really a laptop, but a mini PC.
No deal for this one in Canada. The only one I found was with Ryzen 7 7735(inferior CPU) for CAD $1900 plus tax! Does Acer think Canadians are stupid?
I know it's 5 months down the track, but I just bout a nitro 16 r5-7640hs, 16/512 6gb rtx 4050 for $1000 AUD ($600 USD). I'm fucking stoked with the value. Ordinarily I'd like to spend a little more, but I'm homeless and living in my car. Bang for buck is brilliant

@leokoach Acer clearly took a lot of feedback from the 2021 model and rehashed the Nitro5 2022 which was a mega step up, looks like acer are renaming everything based on screen size so your skipping 11 versions was very lol

The problem with Acer laptops is that they have absolutely garbage hardware apart from the processors, unless that changes in the past 2 years. Bought a Nitro in 2020 and the keyboard failed just after warranty. Acer service center say this is a common problem with that unit. All in all it's a solid package but if something fails, good luck. Dropped a like on the video!
Best 2023 midrange gaming laptop
Sadly its a budget laptop even though the price is super high. I'd say their predator neo would be considered their "midrange" and triton more high end.

It'll be nice if someone would make a thin and light student laptop available globally with a Ryzen 7940U. As someone with a gaming laptop, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the 6800H iGPU (RDNA 2 680M) handles games on battery. Being a gaming laptop, the battery life still sucks when gaming but much better than gaming on the dedicated Nvidia GPU.

build quality is top quality its better to buy a machine thats durable that gonna last for easy 10 years like thats the standard dell is turbo trash hp is trash acer well no expectations MSI is basically asus and asus is basically MSI probably no difference gigabyte is a gamble pretty much everywhere by default lenovo i still use my since 2016 it better continue to be flawless till 2027 eluctronics XMP dont know and i mess with the name and confuse for DDR mode alienware if dell wasnt a problem honestly i recommend skipping this generation and wait till 8gb of Vram is the lowest option which should be soon since 3050 is a joke edit: forgot to mention razer razer is also trash they are premium wish products that look like replicas of each other

There is no way a 7640HS - one of the most efficient x86 6 core CPU with a 1200p display and 88Whr battery can get that poor of a battery life. The Asus TUF A16 with 90Whr battery and 7940HS managed 12hrs of web browsing/video playback as per NotebookCheck Review. The battery life tests are always so mixed because it's definitely some or the othe software in the background that prevents the CPU from idling. If it's a Ryzen H/HS CPU (not 7045HX series) and a decent 70Whr+ size battery. You are bound to get great battery life. If not, then there is something wrong with the software.
Well that's just the reality with these gaming laptops, some programs keep the gpu active and gone is all the battery life.

@@cameronbosch1213 There are many laptops from Dell or Lenovo with an i7 and a 3060 at a similar price. I won't do a proper search but for $100 you can get the Dell G15 with a Ryzen 9 and a 3060. There are probably even better alternatives out there.
