I didn't really enjoy this update as much as I hoped I would. Don't get me wrong, it's a great update. Just imo wasn't worth the wait. can't wait for week 20
I agree actually but they do their best to make it good
They really spent a lot of time polishing up the game as a whole, so I think that and the massive overall imprmake it worth it. Plus that last song+cutscene tho ✋🏿😌👍🏿

Nobody gonna talk about the little details? The arrow's little firework sparks, the "ugh" actually has an animation, and the background! The devs really did a good job with this update. The cutscenes are also very well made. + Animations in general are smooth af, especially pico's shooting
Pico's shooting matches with the beat and the gun spinning is so smooth So much attention to detail
Pico has something called "genocide"
i think that the sparks only appear when you hit a "SICK!"

I feel like more people should talk about tankman's "hey, pretty good!" in stress but I understand why it would be overshadowed by Pico

FAAAAACTS i was just watching youtube and all of a sudden this week came
GF literally teleports. That’s what she did. Slowing it down to the slowest speed, and there isn’t any animation where she hops off or gets smear framed into BF’s arms for a second, she just straight up teleports.

@@AmazingAutist doesn't mean they can't have missed some things. They forgot to make a special version of the perfect input effect for week 6, making it the only non pixellated thing on that week.

to the people saying this was overhyped, what the hell were you expecting? this has objectively surpassed every week by a mile when it comes to quality. Its not the devs fault that you had half life 3 levels of hype, they did the best they could and i for one think they did amazing

Yeah, there is probably Monster on week 2 now with a better charting, and there is a new loading screen and everything is just smoother and more modern

Plus it was hard to make, like my friend said, if people add many things into a single update, the new upd will have many fails, but of they focus in a single thing, it can even take long, but will be awesome

@@llooaka Yeah, they 'outdo them' by fucking plastering and bandaging shitty code onto a W.I.P. system that the original team is already working on. I understand that all those cutscenes in mods look good on the surface, but trust me when I say that they are shit code-wise. The FNF crew are actually planning to have their engine work in the long run. They don't want little bandage code which isn't expandable and customizable.

I haven't been following the hype around this aside from enjoying ugh so I'm pretty satisfied. I'm especially impressed by the captain's mid-fight animation in the last song, and I'm really excited to see what modders can do with this technique in combination with vs. Sky's technique of mid-fight note animation changing. And of course, the custom animation for the ugh is great as well.
I honestly didn't expect this much. I'm very impressed with how these weeks have been developing!

Agree as well. The update took long mainly cuz they were polishing the game to be more mod-friendly, as we won't be getting much news from FNF until at least 1 and at most 2 and a half years of development, which will be it's release. Kickstarter, and all that.
@@Ragnaroswar Don't get me wrong, I still think Week 7 is the best week IMO, the songs are awesome. The added voice acting, cutscenes and sprites, it's all awesome, but... Beyond the window dressing, I think certain mods are better than it. Hex, Whitty, Tricky, Neon (after the update), they're all more fun to play IMO

Talk about amazing sportsmanship. Not holding any grudges or anything. Just impressed with how amazing you are at the game.

I don't know how someone could not like week 7. Personally, I think it has some really good, if not the best songs. It's based on an old newgrounds cartoon and was made even better. Heck, is has DIALOGUE, and some spicy insults.

I respect your opinion but disagree with the description a LOT Week 7 isnt my favorite week, but its better than week 1, 2, 5, and possibly 6. Plus alot of this was minor improvements like the particle effects that come after the notes hit and other stuff. I havent played the new update so I wouldnt know but im 90% sure monster was added in, you can change note colours, practice mode was added, and the input system was fixed (or at least improved) Not even mentioning the cutscenes, and voice acting, and nice little things you can notice while playing. I do think it was overhyped by the community a lot though.
