It's really too early to judge but I saw good moments there. His vision is exceptional, passing is excellent, he's a playmaker with an eye for goal which is a rare trait at such a young age. Think that if he stays at Madrid by the age of 21 he will be dominating plenty of much more physical players. I finally understand what Carlo was saying about him

Arda is a medium to long term project but already exceptionally talented even while still quite raw for his potential.

His time will come, but he needs to improve physically, has tons of talent and vision but today he played at a low pace, he also didnt pressure much, and his defensive positioning was weak alot of the time. To play at RM you have to be good at high pressure, and that requires alot of physical work. He isnt there yet, his injuries have set hom back a bit, but he will get there no doubt. Talented kid, be patient no need to break him. He's had 8 injuries in last 2.5 years and missed 287 day because of them. Thats a clear indicator that this level is still too strong for his developing body.

We lost 6-1. As a team, we played with a full group of young people. Our players had never played together. Açıkçası Avusturya'nın dev adamlarına karşı, aylardır maç ritmi olmayan bir çocuğun bu performansı bence cok iyi. Ona düzgün tek bir top bile taşiyamadilar. Ayağına gelen topları da %90 doğru oynadı. Bircok kez boşluğa kaçtı ama arkadaşlarının oyun vizyonu ve pas kalitesi cok düşük. Arda doğru yerde olsa bile arkadaşları onu bulmakta yetersiz kaldılar. Ya geriye pas ya da hatalı pas yaptılar. Burada eleştirilemeyecek tek topçu o ve kenan. Takım o kadar boktan hatalar yapıyordu ki bu çocukların seviyesini de düşük gösterdi. Bence hâlâ yaratıcılığı ve ilk dokunuşu çok hoştu. Temposu olmasa da bunun sebebi maç eksikliği ve ona top taşıyacak kalitede futbolcularin olmaması. İki dakikada 50 hata yapıp 3 gol yiyorlar. Arda'ya sıra gelene kadar dostum çok balon adamlar var sahada.

Bunu rakipler biliyor.. ilk 15 dakika gol atarak tüm inancımız, o aşırı kafasız motivasyonumuz hüzne, yenilmiş lige, sinirlenmeye neden olacağını biliyorlar. Arkası çorap söküğü gibi geliyor, dağılmışlık, taktiğe uymama, bireyselcilik, karşılıklı el kol işaretler ile suçlu aramalar, Orta sahada Hakan Çalhanoğlu nu beyin, oyun kurucu görmeleri gerek, yönlendirmesine izin vermeleri gerek. Arda buna uymadı.. diğerleri uymadığı gibi adamın kafasına öyle bir top vurdularki yığıldı kaldı.. adeta dediğime bir sembol. Adam topu alınca uygun durumda olmadığından veya arkadaşları avaz avaz topa baktığından taktikdeki pozisyona ,, araya koşma yerinde durmadiklarindan topu tekrar geri veya kısa pas yapıyor, tekrar topu almak istiyor... Az gazlı oyun iyidir. Arda da aşırı gazlı oynadı, iyi hareket yapsa da sonucu, arkadaşı degerlendiremoyecegi paslar hareketler oldu.

It wasn’t ACL, it was meniscus. From what I know his tear wasn’t that big, I think carlo said it wasn’t that bad of an injury, where he “only” missed like 6 weeks or something. His imbalance of muscle mass led to 2 muscle injuries. After the second they fired the teams doctor. It’s serious but not thaaat serious if you understand what I’m trying to say. I had ACL and meniscus. That’s what my doc said just repeating that, cause I asked exactly what is worse lol

I think he's currently projecting better as a wider midfielder his touch in close and his ability to use his body to shield the ball are lacking still to play more centrally in my opinion. I like his ability to keep the ball tight while at speed as well as his quick change of direction and 1-2 passing he reminds me a lot of Foden's early days at city the raw talent is clear to see. I think that as his iq for the game grows and he gets stronger he will be able to play the 10 very well just like Foden, but currently I like him on the wing a little bit more. Edit: I think he has Bernardo Silva type of potential as a future player comparison as in he could end up being able to play well in numerous different roles.
