Thanks for posting this. Followed your procedure this afternoon on my 2019 E450 wagon. Using my neighbor's lift it took less than 1.5 hours. I did purchased 2 liters of brake fluid from my dealer and used about 1.5 for the job.
Awesome! Glad it was helpful
Nice video. Just a word of warning with the Motive Power Bleeder. I see that you have the transparent flex pipe between the reservoir and bleeder. BEWARE AND A WORD OF WARNING!!! Use a reinforced plastic flex pipe. Why? Simple. Mine burst when it was being used and under pressure. It sprayed brake fluid all over the engine bay, hood and wing. Thankfully I quickly rinsed out everything with plenty of warm water, then soap and more water. Thankfully I haven't seen any damage or corrosion to the paint, etc. I replaced the burst pipe with a new reinforced one and haven't had any problems since.
Thank you, good to know, I thought those never fail
thanks alot! i can do this for my e300 :)
what size is the bleeder screw? for model SLK 2008
Thank you so much, save me a lot of money. You are very details. Have a nice day
Glad I could help
Does this apply to 2022 c300? there is no weird SBC system or anything like older models? thanks
For brake bleeding hose what is the Inside Diameter size you used? 1/4inch ID ??? Or is it 1/8 ID & 1/4 OD ? Thanks
Great video! Couple comments/question. Is there any need to perform an ABS system flush (i.e., exercise the abs pump)? To save time, I have removed the pressure gauge from the Motive tank and replaced with a tire Schroeder valve. Can use a small electric tire inflation pump to pressurize the tank and use the pump pressure gauge to monitor pressure. Saves A LOT of time pumping by hand....
Thanks for additional tip! No need to do anything with ABS
What about the oil in the ABS brick?
Your brake fluid looks clean and didn't need changing
I follow Mercedes-Benz maintenance schedule: kzhead.info/sun/qayhoceraYWAfok/bejne.html
its not about looking clean. its about contamination of oxygen and other gasses that reduce the compression force. Doesnt always change color
Do you have to remove the mesh filter when connecting the power bleeder to the reservoir?
I would suggest to remove it - it's easy
Hi My friend Thank you for your video I have a question I did evening What you did in your video. Only one issue I have when I using the the presure the brake fluid start leekinng under the brak fluid container. I can't see from where is coming from.I can't keep the presure in the botle. The brake fluid just gone Do you have any idea why this la happening.
Hi, it's hard to guess without looking at it. Just make sure you tight everything good when connecting bleeder to brake fluid reservoir, get god light and check around reservoir
Hi! I Have an A45 AMG 2013, can this be done like the same in video? Thanks
I follow the same process for may vehicles, Mercedes, BMW, Hummer and it is the same process in general
what i dont understant is how is the air filled from the reservoir to the bleeeder? Are u fillng the reservoir before to the top or to the max limit?
Make sure the reservoir has fluid within min and max mark before bleeding, that's all
Thanks for your thorough video! Do we need 2 bottles (2 * 1 Litr) of brake fluid for the flush?
Mercedes-Benz is using just 1L bottle to change fluid. If you want to make sure that you don't run-out fluid while changing - I would say buy 2 just in case.
Can I just pour the fluid in without all the other stuff
If you just want to add fluid - here is the video - kzhead.info/sun/ZqeTk9mxjqtom5E/bejne.html
how different is the job for the W212?
The process is generic and I don't see how it would be different. I follow the same process for W205, BMW 3 series and Hummer H3
Will this work for a W166 2016 GLE 350?
Yes, the principals are the same
After doing all this, my brakes feel very soft. I’m pumping but it doenst get any firmer, any idea on what’s going on?
Check for leaks all 4 calipers.
@@NewRoad would you suggested, rebleeding it? There seems to be no leaks
Same for c220 4 matic w205 i guess?
Should be the same
After all this don’t forget to pump your brake if it has any air in the system, otherwise brake will go to floor !!
you need 2 Bar og 20 Psi in newer car like W212 etc pressure!
Start from lower range and increase if necessary
I don’t completely understand- why do you need to use the power bleeder after refilling the brake fluid at the beginning?
to push fluid through brake lines
@@NewRoad I don’t see other videos doing it. Is it optional?
I'm not sure if 'old school' (pressing brake pedal - instead of power pump) will work or break something ... I never tried to mercedes
@@NewRoad you can doit without any tools by pressure break pedal, But you need to people, on press pedal another open bleeder
