I think I’ll keep my cx true wireless and wait for the momentum 3 true wireless hopefully that one has a smaller case .. and connects independently that’s all it needs to make it almost perfect overall

Thanks for the review!! I own the M2 and CT 400 and the main difference re sound quality is the sound stage. While the CT 400 sound stage is more than decent, the M2 is the best in the market.

Nice, short but detailed video 👍🏻. Now that CX Plus True Wireless with ANC came out, there is really no need to pay like $100 more for MOMENTUM 2. The sound on my CX True Wireless is out of this world! Especially if you play the music in jetAudio Plus or NEUTRON64, with a lots of audio settings and boosters. Those CX's earbuds are the best i've ever had 👌🏻.

Great review. I have the Klipsch T5ll’s and love them, but needed a backup pair and just ordered the Senny CX. I sit in my home office all day and don’t need the bells and whistles, and I’ve been dying to try any Sennheisers out. They come tomorrow so I’ll provide an update. Also, are you in Nashville?

This was a great review I didn't realize best buy had the cx 400 bt on sale not the new model the cx they look the same in the picture and name They almost got me .... I need that independent ear feature using the left and switching to right bud as needed without needing both in
They dropped the price of the older CX 400BT becuz they dont want to cannibalize their new products with higher price. CX400 BT was original $200, CX True is $130 and CX True Plus is $180.

I need help! Please! CX True wireless or CX 400BT I really can't tell any major difference other than IPX4 & the Battery life. Honest Opinion & 2-4 months after buying it.

I got the CX on Sat July 10 2021, and they are the BOMB!!!!!! the Bass is clear and not muddy- the treble is Dynamic and clear. The Momentum 2 call quality is far better on the video.

@CEONTHEMAKING which of the three can use left-ear as a stnad-alone ? or none ? available work-around ? - I personally prefer listening to music on left ear and leave the right ear for environment awareness. I think I have read it somewhere that 400BT can only use the right ear as stand-alone because of the bluetooth trasmitter is located there. left ear would not work without right ear. not sure of the other two ? - available work-around I would like to know if it is possible : --connecting both bluetooth on both left & right but put on only left into the ear. without placing the right into the charger ? if this work, does the sound can be set to mono at the left ear ? because it would be weird on stereo without right side. Thank you in advance if anyone could try out or reply to this !

I've been struggling in terms of choice for at least a week, I mean I've been searching and watching different reviews to find out which true wireless earbud to choose (among such brands as Sony, Sennheiser, Bose, Beats and etc) and after watching your review I've easily made up my mind, I'm going for Sennheiser CX. Anyone know how the momentum’s compare to Shure Se215’s?
I have the Jabra 65Ts but looking for an upgrade.... Can any of the Sennheiser be used in the following scenarios - use them for long runs? - use them for crossfit sessions? - use them in the shower? - use them in the dry sauna? Thanks
The fit depends on your ears...but not you can use them in the shower. The sauna should be ok though
I use the mtw2 for running and crossfit and they are fit, too much for my taste after a hour they start itching and I need a rest, I have used them a couple of times in soaking rain running and they still work (to my surprise), but they aren't waterproof they have just water resistance so I would not use them in the shower or the sauna.
I have the BT 400 and the right one audio has stopped working and that's the one with the mic.. I just purchased the BT TW cause I really liked them and I am STOKED you can use each ear bud independently. This actually drove me crazy. I would have brought them again without this.. In AUS and $130 is hard to beat.
Same happened for my gf were you past the warranty they shipped out a new pair

Strictly sound quality, yes. APP offers better ios compatibility and ANC plus transparency mode...but as far as sound CX is better
Momentum 2 sounds the best but I have the new CX's I'm cool with them & I needed to be able to use either independently of the other

Which one has the best sound quality and if you had to pick one which would it be?
I have the 400bt. If you use android and can enable AptX via developer settings - the sound is great. Great, but not out of the ordinary ahmazing.. (if you’re used to good quality audio). Sennheisers are no Sony’s in terms of the bass, regardless how much you tweak the limited equalizer option (via the app). I paid $100 and they’re fine. If I paid $200 original price, I’d be disappointed.

depends if you need ANC and Transparency. If not, get the CX
I have the 400BT and absolutely love them. However, even though I don't need to upgrade to the CX TW, I'm going to anyway. I think the increased battery life is good and the jump from Bluetooth 5.1 to 5.2 should offer better connection stability as well as using any one of the buds independently while one sits in its case. And besides, having one set on standby, while the other set charges up, is invaluable to me. Thanks for the review.
Why is the 400bt more expensive if it's worse and older?
@@saki3963 The 400BT is discounted on the sites that I've seen, even on Sennheiser's website. They should all be $99.95 now. Also, just because the 400BT is an "older" product doesn't mean it's worse, but then I don't know what you mean by "worse". The TW uses the exact same transducer as the BT so there should be no real sound differences. Whichever one you get depends on your budget. If all you have is $100, the 400BT is a fantastic option. However, if you want a reasonable increase in battery life and the latest BT codec (mostly for any possible future features), and you have an extra $30 laying around, go ahead and get the TW. Sound-wise, however, don't expect any real differences. Either one will give you superb sound quality.
@@housepianist oh i was primarily comparing the CX TTW 400bt to the CX TW 2021. Because even if it's older, has worse battery life, has no water resistance, it's always more expensive than the newer cx 2021. And I'm wondering why that is
@@saki3963 CX TTW 400BT? I think you're including letters that don't belong. The official name of the previous buds is CX 400BT True Wireless Earbuds (TW). All that Sennheiser did was drop the 400BT from the name so they're now officially called the CX True Wireless - or CX TW for short. The way you listed it (TTW) is not correct. Lastly, the original price of the previous model (CX 400BT) when it came out was $199.95. If they were still that price, then yes, that would make them more expensive than the new CX TW at $129.95. However, from what I can see, the previous CX 400BT have all been marked down to $99.95, even on Sennheiser's website, so if you see another website offering them for $199.95, better look elsewhere. Oh, and one other features I forgot to mention that the CX TW now has - which is the ability to listen to either the left or right bud independently.
@@housepianist yeah i got the names wrong, but you got the general idea. I'm aware of what they're actually called. And the cx 400s still cost 199$ here while the newer one costs 129$. I just found it weird how the older ones cost more while the new ones cost less. Wondered if you knew why that is. No need to get into the trivial stuff like names.
