  • Drainage job working well shame the EA don't clean their rivers out is Barry free to show them how to do it. Thanks for a great update really enjoyed it 👍

  • Interesting video with Sandy! Can’t wait to see the final edit! Impressive flow of water through the cleared out dykes, it almost feels like it should be an instructional video for the EA!

    • It’s fine, they don’t go back to their yard between demos and would need to was it on the farm where the demo has just finished. There’s not many people as fussy as us and if it hadn’t of rained when the machine arrived, we’d of taken it in the field as it was.

  • Another good update Andrew. I can remember when I was young, Anglian Water were responsible for the local rivers. They were kept " clinically clean", maybe too much but they looked after the rivers. Then it was NRA who were responsible and as time has gone by and now it is the EA there are more and more trees allowed to grow on the water side of the river banks, which collect debris and slow the flow when in flood. I know there has to be a balance but surely they can see the problems we all face when rivers are not maintained correctly. On a positive note , our local IDB do a cracking job of looking after the water ways they are responsible for. Thanks Andrew, looking forward to Sundays update.

  • 14:47 great content again came past your farm today from what I could see from the road some nice fields and some bare looking fields just a shame about the rivers and dykes unfortunately farmers got stopped from doing work on ditches many years ago and now look at the mess of them and just look at how much you have increased the volume of water your ditches can hold by doing some maintenance work and it shows that if you keep them maintained the land drains generally work better

  • Hi Andrew, in one of your videos you showed your concrete precast grain walls installed in-between the 2 flanges of the columns. How did you get the panels in between the columns? Thanks James

    @jamesbackhurst5997@jamesbackhurst599716 күн бұрын
    • The measurements have to be spot on but you sort of twist them in. It helps if the columns are deep as that gives more room.

  • A great video Andrew, how much will it affect food supply across the country with regards to crops not being put in the ground.

    @johnhyde8892@johnhyde889218 күн бұрын
    • I've seen 15% down reported, but I think that maybe based on the area not cropped this year, but I suspect it'll be more, lots of what has gone in has wet areas that are not doing well so presumably yields will be down too. I'm no farmer though.

      @hectorkidds9840@hectorkidds984018 күн бұрын
    • Difficult to quantify but if we have 38% not cropped, others will have too. Straw shortages another concern for livestock farmers.
