  • I’m sorry for the drivers and companies who are suffering. Luckily, I’m doing very well. Better than last year. The market is bigger than ever and there are more than enough loads. Unfortunately, some try to get their freight shipped for far less than usual and most often even less than what it costs to move it. The only way to move up, is to refuse those loads. Only move freight when it’s profitable.

  • 90 days? If a trucking company told you "we will be out of business in one year" where would you go? Cause the next one you go too is less than a month and to the curb you go. Why? Why the wait? Are you waiting on another 550 million dollar parking lot package from the U.S. Senate? Waiting on another 240,000 dollar truck that won't go 90 days without an idiot light coming on? Another "EQUITY" buy out from another company to buy you out and save you? What are they gonna do when that happens? They gonna tighten the screws on everyone until that buy out is paid back to the new owner and your old boss walks away with millions. THAT is the curb. Jo-Jo just drove up 24 across the border in Pharr and got his load and drive back across. He didn't pay shit. You on the other hand jumped thru hoops on your company application to get hired just to get your job for one day. One scratch and you are butt-screwed. His owner is in Caracas, same as yours. Arnold, Celadon, Lessor, Carroll Fulmer twice, Raven, Palmer. Everyone of us can name a hundred more. What hoop did you jump thru to have a fuel card shutdown. You better save a chunk of foam rubber from that old bed mattress cause that curb gets hard as hell. Change The Business Model. I don't care what you NOW or how many years you have driven. This is a keyboard ninja screwing and it is industry wide. Age and experience won't matter. Who next?

  • Just like any other type of business. If you’re taking business that pays less than it costs to operate, you eventually run out of money and will go bankrupt. With doing what they do, they first drag down the rest of the market too. when companies just refuse to move loads that are not profitable, the business will improve. Unfortunately, some already ran out of time and they are just trying to survive as long as they can. In 2019 a record number of trucking companies went bankrupt with over 640 in just the first half of the year alone. After that the business was booming during the pandemic. So much so, that some thought they could invest more than they should have, some took over competitors that they shouldn’t have, and some grew faster than they should have. A lot of those already went under, or about to go under. They are taking some companies with them, that existed for a long time but didn’t have enough cash reserves to wait out until the market improves.

Blind trucking will leave on the curb 7 states away w/a thousand dollar credit card that won't get a rental to go across the street and rentals don't take cash or a bank card. Your shit will go into a grabage dumpster or you wan't go grayhound either. Take your truck to the nearest terminal...where does that leave you? You better think, people? What is fine today is bust tomorrow. The bankrupted owner is eating steak fills up and rolls on. You and me? Need a back scratcher and a seating pad cause that curb get hard as f--k. • With the price of gas going up and the way farmers are being treated: this comes as no surprise. We need to get rid of inflation: so both businessman and worker can thrive 😊

    @ChaitanyaKrsna@ChaitanyaKrsna13 күн бұрын
    • Inflation won’t end until the fed collapse on its own debt or the government cuts the hell out of spending and starts paying that 30 something trillion back. The second will hurt for a while but be good in the long run for everyone. The first will probably be hell on earth. Whoever does the spending cuts needed will be the most hated person by all sides. That’s why no one probably will. The rich and politicians will benefit more from printing till it collapses and then they can play on the average persons ignorance, make up all kinda lies to make people believe in their new “solution” to all our problems. great reset here we come!!

  • When one company buys another company hang on to your shirt because the driver always looses ask the boy's who stayed to the end with Yellow and Holland and USF hroup. They didn't get there vacation pay or suck days but tge top CEOs git 4 million bonuses for shutting down Yellow Freight and screwed there company people out there retirement. I worked there a total of 24 years starting with Roadway to YRC to Yellow Freight

    • No one plans to cut their own throat. All of us get out here and work the best we can to put in the longevity to have something to fall back on. We move freight. Wet dry cold liquid heavy food clothes we all move it. No one expects their ass to be on the curb 7 states away with a 1,000 dollar credit card that wont get you across the street, cash not accepted and your shit tossed in a garbage dumpster because greyhound will not take it all. Regardless of what you make. Regardless of what you own. Regardless of how many you have. Regardless of your bank roll set back. Trucking is busted for everyone until this business model changes... Regardless of freight or administration, Trucking is a bust.
