37:10 It's surprising how few people know that the parry hitboxes for King Dice's cards are extended upward if you are playing as Chalice. However, the fight against Hopus Pocus (the rabbit) is almost impossible to complete without taking damage, so Cuphead is still optimal for this level.
its not that hard. i did it easily. besides even if you cant parry by dashing you can still do invincibility rolls

It could always be preference as well, like for phantom express’s first phase, i find that roundabout is most optimal for dealing with the eyeballs, but people can have different things that they find easier to use

This man has professionalism in 70% of the entirety of video games.
You can all use the cheat engine speedhack feature to speed up games, not for speedruns necessarily, but just to make them more enjoyable, or to speed through unskippable cutscenes.

Agreed. I was just recently thinking about how all of my favorite video games are those without photorealistic graphics. Shooters are my only occasional exception). I'm all about obvious animated graphics. This game, Zelda, Mario, Hollow Knight all quickly come to mind.

Hollow Knight and ULTRAKILL pretty much rival Cuphead in their own way.
The divine relic is actually perfect for the devil. On his second phase, you can spam your whetstone to deal a ton of damage and kill him insanely quickly
He is just easy as heck. You could kill him quickly without it, though the divine relic is preferred.
Even though I have S ranked every boss in the game, I will definitely not speedrun the game like you, mad respect there were even things I didn't know you showed in your speedrun like Mortimer freeze's final phase has no hitbox damn.

Fun fact: in the Anteater phase in the Moonshine Mob, you could've set up a lobber trap (just aim up and jump and shoot the lobber) on the left side on the top stone ledge it usually clears out that phase before his snout even goes to the right side of the screen, or maybe he CAN go to the right side but you can instantly kill him there.
How did you get past the first level so fast? I saw a professional video game journalist spend 25 minutes on it because of its difficulty.

for those who don't know: if u leave the dogs alive but damage their jetpacks (when the jetpacks spray gray smoke instead of white smoke) then the fight becomes slightly easier because the robot dog won't flip the screen upside down
But then there's the problem with phase 3 of Grim Matchstick where the Yippers and Saluki will shoot out pineapples that, if you shoot, they will explode (Or so I think)
I never knew that not attacking the onion was a viable option
there are many "alternate routes" to bossfights in cuphead: -if you parry sally stageplay's heart to jump up on one of the angel cutouts, the chandelier will drop, causing husband in the background to be killed -if you shrink your plane when Djimmi is scanning you, it will unlock a secret phase -if you stop attacking each howling aces dog when their jetpack's smoke changes color, you can unlock another secret phase

As someone who knows a lot about cuphead speedrunning, the fact that he doesn't use/probably doesnt know about Kaleva Swaps really pains me - as they're some of if not the most useful strats in the game. What these basicly consist of, is dealing with the fact that when you use an EX, you completely stop shooting - which results in a lot of wasted damage waiting for the EX to end so you can keep shooting your weapon. Lets say that you're using the weapons Spread and Lobber. You want to use a lobber EX during a bossfight, and you're currently shooting with spread. Instead of switching to lobber BEFORE pressing EX, you want to do it AFTER - press EX first, then quickly switch to lobber, and when the EX comes out, switch back to spread. This makes it so you keep shooting lobbers even when you do the EX. Now lets say that you want to use a lobber EX, while you're shooting with that weapon. Instead of simply hitting EX, you want to do the following: press EX, then very quickly switch to spread and back to lobber (just hit weapon swap twice right after hitting the EX button). What it essentially boils down to is that: If you want to use the EX of weapon B while attacking with weapon A, hit EX > weapon swap > wait for the EX to come out > weapon swap back. If you want to use the EX of weapon A while using weapon A to attack, hit EX > weapon swap > weapon swap (before the EX comes out). It is important to mention that kaleva swaps dont work in plane levels, only in normal levels. There is another strategy for those called Luigi swaps. They do require hitting two keys frame-perfectly, though.
This video just made me reminisce to my best year in gaming (2019). I played Cuphead all the way through alongside: Resident Evil 2 Remake Days Gone The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening Captain Toad Treasure Tracker Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze Star Wars Battlefront 2 Resident Evil 7: Biohazard And many more that I can’t remember but yeah that year I went hard on video games that I didn’t even have time to enjoy anime or tv shows that year. But I had a blast.

If you play the circus run and gun level, you van dodge roll through the stack of minions if u stand on the top platform. Just roll, jump and dash to the next platform. That you you dont have to shoot them and safe time! It also works on the cannons at the end at that section.
Now I would like to see you 300% complete this game ;)

Im really glad that Cuphead is still doing really good. This is me writing on an alt account, and i made a lot of videos about Cuphead on my main. Matter of fact, Cuphead is my second favourite game ever. ( fnaf is on number 1.) Cuphead will always have it's charm, and it will never lose it.

I dont think this is an official category, but I ran 300% all s ranks all shaders nmg. So i had to beat every boss on regular amd again on expert with an s rank and all run and guns with p ranks, every boss as mrs chalice, every single dang charm, shot and super and finally a fully upgraded divine relic. Also i had NO EXPERT MODE GLITCH

I love how in chef saltbaker 2nd phase whe the pepper hits him he vibrates and it shows how much effort the devs put into the game
For djimmy the great u can save time if you get the treasure attack at the start, parry all the pink treasures, giving you your super in the first phase. If you use it in the first phase the part with the pillars will be shorter and you can kill the coffin phase with like 5 bombs
If you really enjoy cuphead I would recommend playing the void rains upon her heart! It’s basically airplane fights but a lot more difficult with a lot of unique mechanics and intricacies. It would be entertaining seeing you attempt to speedrun it lol plus I think you’d enjoy it if you like bullethell games
