Firing up and running the Canadian National

2016 ж. 16 Там.

Featured on the cover of Live Steam Magazine Sept / Oct 2016 issue, Ernie Beskowiney put approximately 7 years and 35,000 hours into the design and construction of this flawless 7.5" gauge live steam locomotive. It is nearly entirely CNC'd out of stainless steel and is slightly larger than 1/8 scale.
The operating pressure is 150 PSI and develops about 483lbs of tractive effort. It has pulled a train of 48 people without blinking. Here is Ernie firing up and running the locomotive at the Bitter Creek Western railroad.
For more information, see the Sept / Oct 2016 issue of Live Steam Magazine, available from Village Press.

Took that Hamilton - NF leg 3 times and stayed on the side trip to Yaeger to turn her on the wye. Got GREAT runpast photos. Rode her again in 1999 from Stettler, Alberta to Coronation on Father's Day. Got recorded on Greg Scholl's video '6060 Steam Special' that he finally released. • When I was in high school, late 1950s, my physics teacher built model engines about twice this size.In the 1940s and 1950s, they were in several zoos and state parks over the state. Then the "OMG what if it explodes" crowd got them removed. He then just had a couple on his farm. Summer afternoons you could ride as long as you wanted for ten cents.
