Why is a photo of Washington DC shown at the beginning of a video about the state of Washington, when the two are nearly three thousand miles from each other?
PREACH BROTHER i came here to say the same thing. basically makes me think the rest of the video is BS. how can i trust someones knowledge on WA when they dont know it from DC? who made this? cant be someone from the US
i wonder if it's one of those "subtle" intentional mistakes creators make to increase engagement. sometimes they know people will correct them and do it on purpose to grow their channel's stats
@@JamesVanCleaf KZhead is interested in the number of subscribers and the number of " likes". I don't think they care how many comments a video gets.
@@MrDEWaters partially true, comments do contribute to engagement stats, and if i recall correctly they're weighted heavier than likes. this has been the norm for most content sharing platforms now, to the detriment of the readily pushed content and viewers.
I came here for this comment 😂
I love how the Washington monument is shown at the start of the video.
FYI---The Washington Monument is NOT in Washington State. 🙄
Okanagan. Is oak-Ka-nagan. We have many Native American names. We can tell you’ve never really been here. Try Puyallup.
My sister lived in Gig Harbor, it's a nice place and doesn't feel like a city/town because of all the trees... Beautiful place indeed.
I lived in Poulsbo (pronounced Pauls-bo) and worked in Port Townsend when I was in my 20s, and it was such a wonderful time in my life! Its a very beautiful area.
Worked at Sluy's in Poulsbo for some time. I miss washington :(
@@JoelSmall69 I loved stopping in at Sluys! I loved the cream cheese cinnamon rolls ❤️
More mispronounced locations than correct pronunciations.
i visited poulsbo during the viking festival and bought some poulsbo bread
Yeah I also lived a short time in Poulsbo and the coverage is just a fraction near the waterfront with mostly drone shots. He also can't pronounce Okanogan with a Nog, not a NO-gan
I find it funny how the first and last images of this video about Washington State are of Washington DC.
It’s because they probably used AI to edit, the voice alone is Ai robot voice reading a script that again was probably written by AI
I have lived in Washington state my whole life, except for five months when I lived in Minnesota. I know every town you have mentioned here and each and every one of these towns is swoonworthy . I love each and every oneof them. Thank you for this collection of lovely towns.
Same, I'm living in Washington.... D.C.
Washington state is truly beautiful and unique. My favorite thing, when I lived there in Seattle, was owning a cabin cruiser, and going all over the Salish Sea. It is the most amazing water world of quaint and chic harbors and majestic anchorages.
Belllingham location wise is one of the most overlooked cities in washington state! Ocean front, Mt. Baker, 25 min from Canada, lakes, mountian trails and more!
Thank you! Great video!
Note to video producer - fix your AI software - it is making mistakes with pictures. Just FYI.
I think you picked some great places in WA and I’ve been to all and agree with most on your list. Good job! 👍
Don't bother with Friday Harbor or anywhere in the San Juan Islands. Ferry is a joke, everything is so EXPENSIVE and the people are incredibly rude and entitled. Spend your money elseware.
Thanks, for the useful info! Very beautiful area, but knowing that, it's better to visit more friendly places. (It's very frustrating and upsetting having to interact with rude and entitled people.)
San Juan is beautiful! People there were great. We didn’t have any issues. It’s a must see location.
@@JERios-wv8lx I've been to Friday Harbor a handful of times and have always had a great visit.
I need to visit Leavenworth in the summer cause I'm tired of all the snow photos. Leavenworth in the summer is beautiful too.
We only go in the spring or summer. It’s beautiful, just kind of crowded with tourists.
The ferry doesn't go to Poulsbo. You also need to find out how to properly pronounce a number of names.
The first clip is of washington DC 😂
You can see the norther light as well from Winthrop if you get up on a high hill....Absolutely amazing...It really is pretty cool.
When talking about Winthrop they were showing footage of twisp wa.
San Jaun Islands are beautiful and I think that the people are great. We went every year to the cabin and loved it
I took a day trip there on my vacation to Seattle. Took a whale watch tour and met one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever encountered. We became fast friends. Kept in touch with her well after. She had stage four cancer, but never let her spirits be defeated. Sadly, she passed last year. I only knew her for about two years and had that one day in person with her, but she made a lifetime impact on me.
Hi Guys, I Thank for coming out with this video but missing out on so many other spots as such. BTW, when visiting Washington state, You must not miss the Paradise and other beauties. In nutshell, The Washington State it full of BEAUTIFUL places.
I grew up in Anacortes on Fidalgo Island, I was always grateful I grew up surrounded by great beauty. Now I live a few miles from Poulsbo. I've been to every place you mentioned, they all have their charms.
I grew up in Oak Harbor. I took my driver's license test in Anacortes. I moved to Seattle after college for work. Sadly, Seattle decayed so much that I moved out of state. The bug gray blanket was also a major reason for moving.
@@johnnyh3653well hello neighbor lol. Lived in both anacortes and oak harbor. And ironically my step dad is a driving instructor in the area
Leavenworth area is beautiful during fall season. Hopefully i can visit this town soon.
I agree with the “area” part. The colors are beautiful!
Get on the Washington State Ferry at the ferry landing west of Anacortes and go out to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. (Maybe take a map so you can name the small islands as they float by.) Watch for bald eagles and orca whales along the way. Seven of the islands have schools. Shaw Island, served by the ferry, has maybe ten children. Orcas Island may be the best one to visit by car. It has trout fishing and hiking, especially east of the town of Eastsound.
If you take a car, get ferry reservations, especially in the summer. Or just park and walk on. You can rent a scooter on whichever Island you travel to (get reservations for those.)
Lopez Island is probably the best to go "scooting" around. As I said, Orcas Island is a great place to visit by car.@@kristend344
so beautiful and peacefull
I wish I could be sure that my old clunker car could make the 5000 mile round trip to Washington. It looks gorgeous!
I hope you make it there sometime!
As a local, I totally agree with this list...
I live South of Bellingham. One of my favorite towns to visit is LaConner in April for the Tulip Festival. Leavenworth is overrun with tourists just about any time of year. It’s catering to what Americans think Germany is like. I was born and raised in Germany. This town has very little in common with Germany.
hate to say it (overall it’s a solid video) but showing a picture of Washington DC at the beginning of this is pretty inexcusable lol
Really enjoyed seeing which towns where chosen for this video. Having lived in the Seattle area for more than 50 years, I've had the opportunity to visit most of your choices. I hardily agree...all are beautiful, quaint, and a delight. It was fun to listen to so many mispronounced names!! We are used to correcting visitors because many names are Native American names. Was pleasantly surprised that the commentator nailed Sequim but messed up on Bellingham!! (BellingHAM...not BeillingHum.)
My neighbors is from Bellingham. Harold was one of the general Foreman for Standard Oil. His wife Camilla was a great neighbor. I had no idea Harold was a recovered alcoholic! Haoles drink hard liquor n Hawaiians drinks beer.
Yep. Like Ya-Key-Ma for Yakima lol
Living in Washington and Brent I all these places it’s quite a fun adventure. Weather that’s finding Leavenworth coming around a mountain and being awed by it or going to quiet little squim to go see elk and bears it’s a fun place to live but not if you don’t have deep pockets. Lots of fun comes with having lots of money to spend on gas just to get there.
As a lifetime resident down on the Columbia (family has been here since prior to statehood), I am a bit put out by the lack of representation of the majority of the state. There are beautiful areas all over Washington, not just in the northern half.
It's true that there is beauty in the whole state, but having lived all up and down the Western half of Washington, the Northern half just is prettier, mostly because of the peninsula and islands.
I would add, republic, San Juan islands and maybe Chelan. I work in Leavenworth, it’s a must see
Born and raised in Bellingham. I never got to see the Northern Lights.
I've lived in Bellingham for 20 years and have never seen the Northern Lights.
@@Cedarlasshe's lieing my fam said the same
Live in Spokane Washington I see it once a year usually in the fall
I lived in North Bend. Still fell chills on my spine when I think about this town. Creepy. Moved out in a year and a half.
We just got back from visiting Seattle.. Beautiful city 😍
It is!
It's Pretty ughy, he's right. Washington is ugly from all four corners
He said little towns not cities and Seattle it’s OK there’s also Spokane plus others and there’s little towns all over Washington state that are actually really nice maybe not across the water line like this guy did with the video it just it just saddens me how people are and there view of things
@@Darkstar301wanna talk about little towns Visit orting then
Republic Washington is a beautiful little town
Spoiler Alert from someone who lives right by Gig Harbor: Pretty much everything in West Washington is GORGEOUS
I'm from Washington state and I've been to Leavenworth it's awesome. Should of been number 1.
the safeway in leavenworth is called Der Safeway the only one in the whole USA.....
@@GrimmJaw496 I didn't know that. But That's interesting. I only visited Leavenworth once so I'm not vary familiar with it but it was pretty cool.
Opening the video with the Washington monument is not it. 😂😂
Go to Leavenworth during Christmas for the lights and of course the chocolates. There's also a great brewery/Bavarian restaurant on main.
Great video but what happened to Port Angeles Washington as I feel it needs to be included in the list also as it should have bern the top 20 instead of the top best places in Washington
Poulsbo is pronounced “Paul’s Bo” from the Norwegian get it right 🥸
How could you leave out the tulip festival in LaConnor???!
One of the most expensive states in the country. You better make over 100k if you plan on living there.
I lived in tri cities all my life. I moved 10yrs ago it was very affordable when I lived there. Thinking about moving back somewhere else in Washington. What do is I miss..? It looks like some cities are still livable and affordable.
@@karenzepeda8787it’s expensive pretty much anywhere in the state. If you want “affordable”, you best look in the eastern side of the state, in a smaller town.
@@karenzepeda8787 ten years and everything has changed. Cost of living has skyrocketed out of control
@@karenzepeda8787 I had a coworker from trinities and he always complained about how boring and ugly it was in the area

Its also very beautiful on the east side,Spokane 😊
Thank for information name list residensi in washington USA ❤❤❤❤❤
All of Western Washington is really pretty...especially in the spring.
Currently a Texas resident but damn I can’t wait for my trip to Seattle.
Going this summer?

Go Jacob ! I am from florida and just visited Bellingham ,Washington / Leavenworth august 28-31… I love the weather , no sweating while strolling the downtown area … I love it it’s so soothing cool feeling on my whole body…
I have lived in Sequim and Port Townsend. PT is my favourite town in Washington. I am surprised you did not mention any towns that are on the west coast.
He did, at 3:36
@@Cloudyconfusion Port Townsend is not on the West Coast. It is on the strait of Juan de Fuca. That is not the Pacific Ocean.
@@Fakeaorta your comment seemed like you were confused why he didn’t mention PT and also west coast towns so I wrote that he did include PT
@@Cloudyconfusion I think its because I was raised in SoCal and part of that was living in Oceanside CA and I was 1/2 mile from the Pacific Ocean. So when I said the comment about west coast I was referring to towns that were on the coast of the Pacific. Several people I talked to while living in Sequim, Port Angeles, and even here in Edmonds say those towns are on the Pacific Ocean. So maybe it's a little bit of a trigger when I think people confuse the Straits as the west coast.
@@Fakeaorta, the strait of Juan de Fuca is part of the Pacific Ocean, and Port Townsend is on the West Coast.
Nice video 😅😮😢😢🎉🎉😊
I should be working in beautiful Gig Harbor Washington right now !!!!
I live in Washington and we have way more beautiful places then most them. Outside our screwed government here Washington State is AWESOME. Most have no idea. I live in the Cascade mtns where i can see mt St Helens, Rainier, Adams and Hood which are all beautiful volcano's. All the east coast people and most of west too have know idea how breath taking it is here. Also the Columbia Gorge National Seenic Recreation Area is right here....... But it pretty much is ignored like most the Pacific Northwest of America
Thanks for interjecting your completely irrelevant political views into a comment section for a video that has absolutely nothing to do with politics. I'm sure that in your mind it will make a HUGE difference! Way to go!
Do you live in Washington State? Sure it’s beautiful to look at but the politics makes for a very abusive relationship with its citizens.
Regarding North Bend hikes, Rattlesnake Ledge is a good and much easier hike, very scenic. Just be careful at the top-people fall and die trying to take good photos or corral their dogs. Also, the view atop Mt. Si is leagues better than the video clip (not sure what that’s from, but definitely not Mt. Si). I climbed Haystack rock on top of Mt. Si a few times, and the views are even better, but I don’t really recommend it, as it’s technically a scramble (basic rock climbing). I did see a mountain goat up there though, so I can vouch for that.
did u start the video with stock footage of DC?
I’ve lived in Bellingham since 1966 and never seen the northern lights, in fact, it’s really not a “thing” here. It is a beautiful place to live though!
You are hilarious and I agree 😂😅
Texas resident I plan on moving to Spokane this coming up year can’t wait
Eastern WA is nothing like anything shown in this video
Don't do it. Homeless and druggies galore. Terrible pollution sometimes because of fires, very hot in the summer.... So many better places on the coast in Washington. Just not Seattle
Prepare to be taxed out of existence
Lock your door.
Spokane is nice if you live on the north or south end, and there are scatterings of other nice parts. Definitely some crime problems downtown though, unfortunately.
I loveeee my Washington State❤❤❤❤❤
2:22 If you're lucky you won't run into a cougar. Fun Fact. The LaConner PD used LeCars in their police force back when they were a new model.
Eh... bellingham isn't exactly a small town
It used be. Western Washington is rapidly becoming one big metro area though. I get the impression that a lot of people in Bellingham are retired. There isn't any large employer nearby as far as I can tell.
@@MrDEWatersWestern Washington University is the largest employer in Bellingham.
I have a feeling that many of the tech workers in Washington are working from home now.@@johnnyh3653
@@johnnyh3653wait you mean university
Someone please explain to me why the opening shot of this Washington state video starts off with an aerial shot of Washington DC!!! Geez, I hate stupidity!
Well to be fair, their politics are the same, both are insanely idiotic. I laughed when I saw that…
Rarely see the northern lights in Bellingham…they might be there but cloud cover means you rarely see northern lights in Bellingham
1. Leavenworth 2. Bellevue 3. Chelan
OH, just in case the Across the Globe brainiacs are wondering, New Mexico is part of the U.S., New England is not part of the British Empire, and there are two Dakotas.
You forgot the Bainbridge Island ‼️❤️❤️❤️
How did Gig Harbor get on that list. I would rather go to Anacortes. They have better window shopping.even Coupeville would be preferred over Gig Harbor.
Good luck seeing the northern lights in Bellingham, lmfao. It's a beautiful and lovely city, but the idea that you led off with this video with seeing the northern friggin lights in Bellingham is truly hilarious
Umm, it's spelled lavender. But good vid overall. I live in Vancouver BC and drop down there fairly often.
Don't forget Twin Peaks 😅
Kids and I love leavenworth
A tourist trap town now. Back in the 60's it was a great little place.
❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😊BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL smile happy Happy Happy place I just got back what exciting experience. 😊
Glad you had a good experience :)
Seattle did not make the list?
Gig Harbor WA is for me.
I have been to most of these places but I'll be honest I have never heard of La Conner or Winthrop. Also, no offense but North Bend is not a tourist destination. It's a nice, quiet town but I would not recommend it as a tourist spot like Sequim during Lavender season or Friday Harbor.
It's Belling-HAM, Oak-uh-NOG-en, and Pauls-bo.
If you're going to do a video on a state, please get the pronunciations correct. (props for pronouncing Sequim correctly) It's Bell - ing - HAM. North Bend are two words. Winthrop - the route shown is the North Cascades Highway. It's a beautiful and geologically diverse area. It's closed in the winter and doesn't generally open until the middle or late spring. Going to the San Juans (four are served by WA state ferries) in a car on the Ferry - ferry reservations are *strongly recommended* - ESPECIALLY when leaving the islands.
I can't even count the mispronunciations in this video. I don't know if it's bot generated or just someone without knowledge but trying to be an expert. Yes, Im local and have been to each of these locations.
Number 11, Chelan
Not the fucking Washington monument at the beginning SIR
La Conner is so nice tho-
Yeah,it kind of is comparable. The same idiotic principles are used to run both places into the ground. Both places have high taxes, employ overwhelming amounts of delusional government workers, high cost of living,no jobs for unskilled workers, and both places enjoy high crime stats. So there’s that…
To bad they only did places that are driving distance from Seattle and didn’t show the beautiful scabland of Washington, Steptoe Butte, or anywhere near Spokane WA, the biggest eastern Washington state city and is the biggest city on Interstate 90 between Seattle and Chicago. They didn’t show any beautiful places in eastern Washington.
You can't see MT Rainier from North Bend except maybe from the summit of Mt Si.
Go to otring you'll see it
We pronounce it, "Pall's - Bow".
Mount "Rain-year"? Seeing mountain goats on Mt. Si? Northern lights in B-ham? My god. Why didn't you guys speak to locals when you wrote this content?
I’ve never heard Methow pronounced “Meet-ow”. 🤦🏻♀️
