  • Thank you to the articulate lady for her question and appeal. Be fair in promotion of opposition. Education. Education. Education. Women of the world unite!

  • CR "is a billionaire". The fact that he "doesn't need it", does not mean that he doesn't want/desire/desire/crave for more. And when money is available and offered from various sources, the temptation is there. But that is called selling one's soul for a mess of pottage. Honesty lacking. Let the evidence speak.

    @selah181@selah181 Жыл бұрын
    • "CR is a billionaire" is always parroted as if that somehow excludes and elevates him from the rest of the ANC crime syndicate. Yet no one asks the one question that really matters: "How did CR REALLY become a billionaire?" Why believe the answer everyone WANTS to believe? Truly, the South African people are either incredibly gullible or they like the lies they are fed or they are too scared to face the truth that is sooooo obvious.

  • This is so concerning. As a 31 year old trying to navigate life - I feel like everything we were taught about the history of this country was just wool over our eyes. The ANC is a problem.

    • I agree. I have always said information must be in their own language and made easy to understand. We are dealing with uneducated people who always keep voting for the ANC. Black leaders from the DA must go and speak to the people and explain in SIMPLE terms how they want to improve the country to benefit all. No false promises, explanations that things take time to achieve - patience is needed.

  • How do we get the younger generation to register and vote? That should be our biggest challenge for the next 15 months or so. It doesn't matter which party they vote for. Whichever one we think MAY do a better job. I have lived my whole life under a one-party government. And I'm only 77 this year. I hope I live long enough to see the change.

    • If we don't crack it next year there won't be anything left. I'm 31 so I don't know if that counts, but most young people don't care about politics. At a braai people don't talk about politics, but there's a lot of conversations about how to get out of SA. People don't really want to leave but when you're young you still have options and who knows what it will be like here in 10 or 20 years.

Where Zimbabwe be as a country if it was not for Robert Mugabe and his side kicks looters. Unfortunately, Africans will keep voting for such people and they wonder why they are poverty stricken.

  • Wouldn't the development of a weekly mobile newspaper covering every magisterial district be a service to all South Africans. If it fundamentally informed them primarily of the good and bad news in their district it could also comment on national civil action. Informing of how to protest and what it means to live our Constitution. Plus develop young reporters and journalists. Also a place for national news to hear about local issues. A great witness to grass roots life in SA. A source of information for visitors and potential investors. Funded by advertising and subscription for an advertising free feed.

  • Why Mr Phala Phala can't do anything, is very directly attributed to his extra mural furniture stuffing activities, and is at no point in control. The ANC is a hive mind, and will always ensure that what they do is in their interest. Should Ramaphala go against that they simply pull a Thabo Mbheki on him.

  • Would it not be possible to set up an AI platform to collect evidence of corruption. This could be designed to protect whistleblowers and an opportunity to keep your name in the clear if you find yourself in a corrupt environment. To be able to apply evidence that stands alone can guide investigators and not endanger the sources.

    • Supply... Not apply

      @paulcollett1479@paulcollett1479 Жыл бұрын
    • Yes, it is possible to set up an AI platform to collect evidence of corruption in South Africa or any other country. This is an innovative and promising approach that could greatly enhance the fight against corruption by providing a secure and anonymous way for whistleblowers to come forward with information. An AI platform designed for this purpose could use advanced machine learning algorithms to analyze vast amounts of data and identify patterns and anomalies that might indicate corrupt activities. This information could then be passed on to investigators, who could use it to build a case against corrupt individuals and organizations. I'm working on a model.

    @clintCGC@clintCGC Жыл бұрын
    • Yes, when I was at school in the 1970's, I used to dream about that time one day "when it would all be out in the open" and we would finally understand the undercurrent of what was going on in the Broederbond and how they influenced or ruled all the decisions made. We know so much more of what was going on with resistance, but not Broederbond.

    • @@johanweakley2658 I did not mention that we have a race problem. We have a undocumented influx & uneducated high birthrate problem compounded by fiscal money wastage, crime & corruption. I know the average black, white, indian & coloured South African get on reasonably & often very well, even if our cultures do differ, we do tend to respect each other (except for the EFF singing offensive & divisive struggle songs, like "Kill the Boer") & there is a growing racially diverse mixed "English-speaking" middle-class of all races ("Coconuts").
