You keep the facts. I'll keep the fiction. I liked Micheal Beign and Val Kilmer in the standoff even though it never happened. It was entertaining.
It was a great scene from the movie, but almost really happened. Doc and Ringo didn't like each other, and met by chance on a trail outside of Tombstone, they both dismounted and got into a heated exchange, at which point Ringo pulled out a bandana and grabbed one corner then flipped the other end over to Doc and told him to grab it, because that was all the room they needed to see which one was the best Pistoleer. But as fate would have it, right when Doc was reaching for the other end, Wyatt rode between the two of them, guns drawn and broke it up. Too bad, you have to remember that Doc was dying, and nowhere as fast as the greased lightning he once was. And Ringo at the time was the fastest gun in the west. In my opinion it wouldn't have turned out good for Doc. Although in his prime he could have drawn with anyone. Still would have been interesting. I believe Buckskin Frank Leslie shot Ringo as he slept against that famous tree. Years later Wyatt claimed he went back to Tombstone and took care of Ringo. In reality, at the time of Ringo's death, both Earp and Holliday were in Colorado.
In tombstone movie, the doc & ringo duel was based in doc claiming he killed ringo, wyatt earp also claiming he killed ringo..
Thank you for showing the actor who portrayed him in Tombstone; the casting director picked an actor who looked a lot like him!

I drive by John Ringo's father's grave a lot. It's 2 miles west of Glenrock, Wyoming.
The residents of Tombstone were just glad to be rid of Ringo. I doubt the coroners jury especially cared it was suicide or murder

Ringo had family problems. He actually cared what his family and friends back east thought of him. He was on the verge of disownment by them for his actions. Admittedly, his death is dubious at best, but there's a bigger picture here.
I don't know why they make such a big mystery out of this? It's common knowledge. Who killed Ringo? Yoko killed Ringo. Paul and George were both there and saw it.

You forgot to mention Buckskin Frank Leslie. He had a grudge against Ringo. Also they were both placed in the same area where Ringo met his maker.

Leslie killed Ringo and Claiborne helped carry Ringo to the tree and prop him up against it. Ringo’s pistols were missing and replaced by a low quality pistol and belt that were on the body backwards. Leslie killed Claiborne a month later and Claiborne made a dying declaration of how Ringo was killed. Leslie killed two more people and did hard time in Yuma State Prison. Every person that knew Leslie said that if he was drunk he was extremely dangerous. Doc Holiday was in Colorado when Ringo was killed.
Both Ringo and Brocius got their just desserts. Regardless of who shot Ringo I don't suppose any of the locals shed any tears.

Johnny Ringo is buried near a tree he was rumored to be seated on when shot. Its a historic spot and permission must be gotten by the owners.
It's open to the public during the day. No permission necessary. Just respect.

I just read that ringo was killed by an ill tempermented drunk named Leslie in a comment section about doc holliday. It was a good comment section.
Next lie Ringo was shot by Aliens from mars. Doc killed him easily get over it.

What do you guys in the comments think might’ve happened to Johnny Ringo? Do you think he was murdered on the trail? Or did he take his own life after his losses at Tombstone?
He feet were wrapped in cloth and he had a gun shot wond to his temple. People don't often shoot themselves straight in the temple. But he could have .good chance he was killed.

Ringo died by Doc or Wyatt's hand. It's so clear and easy to see. Facts point to it and it's so obvious. In history you can find things that put Doc far or close to Ringo when he was found dead, one thing is so clear in my heart I know as a brother if someone killed my brother I'd kill them. Doc and Wyatt were very close friends they blamed Ringo for Morgan's death fact Ringo was died not too long after fact so clearly Doc or Wyatt killed him. Let your ego go and you'll see it's obvious too.
Uhh Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday were in Denver colorado during the time that ringo was found dead. This is proven from court documents stating Holliday had appeared
