Hannibal Season 2 - Almost All Food and Cooking

2019 ж. 7 Жел.
1 049 482 Рет қаралды

A collection of almost all the scenes from Season 2 of Hannibal which involve food and cooking. I again had to remove around 3 minutes of footage, this time near the start, to comply with 2 copyright claims, one of which is from Rebeat Digital GmbH
on behalf of: Český rozhlas, which rendered the whole video blocked everywhere. Full video links below.
The removed footage includes Hannibal serving a Mukozuke course for Jack, Hannibal serving a meatless meal for Chilton, Will eating a meal in prison and some more. Apologies for flashes at these scenes. These were caused by the auto-trimmer.
Hannibal developed by Bryan Fuller for NBC.

Hannibal uses the same techniques to cook as you would see in one of those bright presentations, but the effect is distorted by simply having different lighting. So dope.

    • @@ribeninua2874 the last recent human meat being consumed in significant numbers was by the indiginous people of Papua New Guinea as far as i know, up until the mid. 1900s it was a ritual to consume dead members of the tribe as a way to pay respect & to "behold" them, interestingly there is a blood desease resulting from consuming human meat called Kovu that resembles rabies in humans, it was one of the reasons the practice has been officially banned. There are still the occasional incidents on several islands as late as the 2000s, the last criminal case was with two german tourists that sailed some islands and disappeared, just later to be found out to be devoured by locals, though i don't know where exactly anymore. More disturbing are the cases from central africa in the 90s, where during the numerous civil wars human sacrifices fueled by misticism and substance abuse led to humans being consumed, like the case of the warlord "General butt naked" (called so for going naked into battle) whom ate the heart of a child before going into combat as he thought it would make bullets bounce off him...PS: he is now a pastor and reformed christian that helped authorities to catch a cannibal ring of meat distributors by recognizing the taste when he bought beef jerkey at a local gas stop. • This show is very true and diligent to the culinary aspect. It's not shown in this video, but in the 4:28 scene, the show has Hannibal preparing "Wagyu beef, " and like his first dinner party, it's implied that he's serving human flesh. Wagyu beef is half meat and half marbling/fat, something that can easily be seen by looking at it. It's also very rare and unique to specific breads of cows. When I first saw the scene, I thought it was ridiculous that they tried to pass off human flesh as Wagyu (there's no way human or any flesh could look like Wagyu!), but then we find out Hannibal didn't actually serve human flesh at the dinner party. So what I thought was a mistake was actually great attention to detail, and we could've known what Hannibal was truly serving before Zeller and Price told us. I love this show!

The murders became a ventriloquist doll for the building chemistry/tension between Will and Hannibal, love and hate mixing and swirling, inseparable - indistinguishable. Season 1, Will's mind was on fire. Season 2, it was Hannibal's heart. Season 3, they became one. I could write a whole 10 page essay on all the things I love about Hannibal, but alas, time escapes me. Truly, if Mr. Robot didn't come along to take the crown, Hannibal would be my all time favorite TV show. And the finale is just *chef's kiss* pure art

I would've imagined that hannibal after preparing it and everything would have noticed what kind of meat it was. or maybe he knew they were setting up a trap for him and he went along with it?

I used to work at a hospital and everytime we had a burn patient on the operating table or something was being cauterized I couldn't eat BBQ for a couple of hours afterwards... EDIT: Oh, and from the look and "feel" it is also pretty similar. We practised suturing wounds on pig skins and dissected many parts of it.
