Perfect excuse to get a pizza
we want more pizza box model aircraft
i am building one tonight. Ordering pizza now.
Morning View will you eat the pizza while you build the plane? :P
Step 1 - eat pizza
@@psullivan40 he said the box should preferably be empty so step one is optional :p
True
Update?
So do you guys have a deal with a pizza joint to sell an FT special? Large pizza with a bottle of water or pop and the box pre-printed with the template. Instead of dessert the electronics, props, etc. would come with the meal. Families could skip the movie and make the plane as an after dinner activity. Friday night dinner becomes a Saturday morning outing. More pilots in the house equals more pizzas sold.
Sounds like a startup to me :D.
I like it
I want to see that happen
That sound like a great idea
That actually sounds amazing. They should do it.
You are a public benefactor, Josh. Many thanks! Just bought a large foam chuck glider today, too. Rudder and throttle will be the only control inputs. One short pusher prop on dorsal pylon.
I love this. Making planes out even more common materials.
I would love to see more pizza box aircraft models plans, there is tons of those boxes at home all the time :)
This is the most awesome thing ever, will make one for sure. Would love more of these though! Maybe a cub or trainer!
I really love this build.. this is the most affordable flying wing ive known.. also free snack :) .. sadly i cant afford the electronics needed.. keep this kind of project flite test..
I tried ordering a flying wing for something new to do on my one allowed walk per day but it got cancelled due to supply issues. This is a great idea! Got all the bits from an old quad build already.
I find this the most interesting rc plane video. This opens the door to build your own rc plane from cheap resources everywhere available and customize it anyway you want.
Oh snap, I messed up. I Guess I have to order another pizza!
Henrique Dutra rip
I like what you do! When I was getting into this hobby I didn't know where can I get foam and it was very frustrating. I eventually found a good material but if there are some people who don't have access to foam flite test got their back :)
No 99 cent / dollar tree stores around? Usually if there's something you cant find there, They'll order it if you ask.
My local hobby shop finally started selling your store items and I’m so excited to purchase more from you guys
have they started selling pizza boxes though?
Could we get an updated parts list in the description servos n such thank you for your time . Love the videos
Very cool.ima try this soon.thanks for the how to build instructions.
5 eights of an inch omg! All hail the metric system!!!!
Because 15.875 millimeters is better?
@@ericjkovach alot better actually.
Respect the metric system
@@ericjkovach If you are using the metric system you would plan this with round numbers ahead
long life to the metric system
That is the best recycling idea EVER!!!!!
I love this design.im going to make one very soon.one thing you didn't show was the left and right control flaps.im guessing it's on the same channel as up and down flaps?other than that the video and design is cool.i love building things with stuff that would be trash.thanks for sharing
Terrific! Glad I found your channel.
You are the best plane builder’s in the world seriously
0:35 "preferably empty"
I am building one. It keeps spinning mid air and i put vertical stabilizers. Btw im testing it with out any electronics and i have it balanced around a quarter way to the back from the tip. The vertical stabilizers are perfectly aligned and on the the ends of the sides. And yes, they are facing the correct way.
This short build video is better than longer ones
yes !!!!!
so cool! tx for posting :)
Now this is what you call scratch building
I love this guy!
Where'd ya get the rockin' tunes there, Josh? I was groovin' so hard, I had to watch the video 3 times from not paying attention. 😜 ✈↩
I make gliders with cereal boxes, recently I made the world's biggest cereal box cardboard glider, measuring 66" of wingspan, check it out. And this video is definetely an inspiration to make a fliying wing with similar materials and electronics.
Yo veo los videos de tu canal, muy buenos todos!!
I did not know this channel existed. I subscribed.
Not that there's something wrong, but are all the builds from Flite Test going to be on this channel or is it just the unique builds like the Slice, Twin Sparrow etc?
Some proper engineering went into this. Cardboard yes, but also proper engineering. "Make what you _need_ with what you _have_ "
GENIUS
Awesome stuff guys
That was an ingenious spar! Easy to achieve taper and strong triangular cross-section.
That dog with the cone on its head at the end! 🤣
Hi, whats the motor and esc? is there any other equivalent i could use
I have a question what speed controller do they use in the pizza wing how many amps did the gremli motor buy from them thanks for the video
Are you familiar with the Flying Flounder? I think that design would lend itself to something like this.
i like these tutorials
Hi, what receiver do you use? by the way great work
I have a 3 meat pizza box but I'm betting that greay goodness will affect the CG =) I'd really like to 3D print a fullsize Arrow using light weight PLA.
It's a pie in the sky!
You meant pizza right?
Rossana Sanchez no that’s a way to say pizza
soooo name the plane pie in the sky..... the tshirts can use the acrnym .... "the PIS plane" 😆😆😆
This is great and just what I needed! Thanks for the motivation to finally get into this hobby after waiting WAY too long.. do you have links for the receiver and transmitter that will work for this as well?
any 3 channel receiver and transmitter, as long as they are the same band, will work. I use a Spektrum DX6e for my transmitter.
The Equalizer YT cheers! Thanks for the tip! I appreciate it!
The Equalizer YT is this one complete garbage or would this be ok for a total noob? 😂www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0P8Q8U/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_t1_Zj-fBb7ABHC3E
That one is a budget model. (not saying you shouldn't get it ;)) I have heard that Gool RC products are rather poor quality. Try the Spektrum DXe or DX6e. DX6e: www.horizonhobby.com/airplanes/aircraft-transmitters/dx6e-6ch-system-w--ar610-receiver-spm6650 DXe: www.horizonhobby.com/product/airplanes/spektrum-brand/aircraft-transmitters/dxe-transmitter-system-with-ar610-receiver-spm1000
Geeksmithing I am a beginner too and I use this transmitter, I am very happy with it. This one and fs-i6x are probably transmitters that give you best value for your money. I recommend getting fs-ia6b receiver instead of fs-ia6 receiver. Slight price difference but much greater range. I hope you have lots of fun with this hobby!
Perfect !!!!
Very good !
Fantastic work, guys! 😀
good job !!!
that is crazy you guys keep surprising me
Siete super......great
Love it
Awesome build Josh!!
Excellent spectacular
Tiled prints would be great. BUT I opened this in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and used the Poster print setting to get them tiled. I guess it is the right scale, maybe some dimentions on the plans would be good too. About the CG.... Josh said that he scaled down the FT Mini Arrow. So given that the Arrow wingspan is 30.5" (775mm) and the CG is about 6.7"(170mm) from the tip of the plane. With a pizza box plane wingspan of roughly 22"(560mm), then the CG should roughly be 5" (126mm) from the tip. (correct me if I'm wrong) EDIT: So I just superimposed the FT Mini Arrow plans over the FT Slice (AKA pizza box plane) using photoshop. The CG looks to be about 5" (126mm) from the tip. {I previously said 4.55"(116mm) which I guess would be more stable. This error came from the tile #8 cutting off 1cm from the tip that is added back in on tile #4. lol. Oops.}
D S I hear this question a lot so I think I’m going to answer it here just for fun, though by now you would’ve clearly solve this problem for yourself. Take the prop off and find your own CG using a glide test. Move your battery back-and-forth until when released from the top of a “glide” (i.e. over your head while you run or tossed back-and-forth with a friend) it makes a nice relatively flat glide down to the ground. From their use your choice of ways to find where the plane balances front to back and mark that spot on the underside of your wing. I recommend that you also mark where are you selected to put the battery so that you can do quick changes in the field in that shift your CG. Your plane should now fly. Planes with the CG too far forward don’t takeoff. Planes with the CG too far aft take off only once. The rest of CG is all niceties for us hobbyists. Cheers!
An excuse to order pizza thanks guys on it right now
Bonjour, qu est ce que vous utilisez pour la tringlerie ? Merci d avance.
how to setup flaps and elevator servo's bro? its move at the same times?
Awesome
What motor propellor esc and a all electronics used please reply list
Awesome men
Thank God we can all print templates
was thinking about ordering everything to bud this pizza box wing ....it seems that the paiges are no longer available....i need some help...thanks guy ...have a blessed day
Right on guys! Now lets see some Coro planes, yeah that's right, lets see a FT SPAD!
请问有具体的尺寸吗?我也想做一个,谢谢
I work for Dominos so ill be getting a few large box's tonight 😁
Great josh
Awesomeness ft
Was this built with a power pack? And if yes, which one?
Great!
Great accessible option. What is the cheapest value components to make this fly, in UK. What to do with school students. No money in education so might be buying myself ;/
I dont know if its a stupid question but could you slope soar it?
I was able to follow throw and build one. I can’t find any info about the CG. Can you please tell me where is the CG on this module. Thanks
excellent
Great work. Thank you very much. It is so awesome. 👍
Lol this is so great~~~~
cuales son los componentes ya que no puedo verlos en la pagina oficial ??? gracias
Would it work on foamboard? Or is it to thick?
O miserável é um gênio kkkkkk
i will try this
When I try to get to the links for the motor, ESC and prop I get a "page not found" message. The link for the battery works. Can someone tell me exactly what motor, ESC and prop is being used in this video? I'm eager to build one of these.
It's an 1106 motor with a 30A ESC
Can you say tell me the things? It all says “Whoops! Page not found”
@@Informationdocx😅
can i put a 2200kv motor on a bottle cap and what kv motor did you use
the RC master mohammad That might be a bit low depending on the prop, the one they link in the description is 4500 kv I think
Hello my friend, I want to buy all the things that the aircraft has done from the engine. Console, remote controls, battery How do I get it and where?
First you must tell us how much do u want to pay
What power pack does it take
Where can i get that ' downloadable template '
Hot and ready. Is this a pizza box or a targeted ad on my feed...?
Bt this is nice very nice
Can i fly it without the vertical stabilizer?
Hi I built one and everything seems to be okay however It seems to just spin as soon as its launched (I am using a 5 inch prop with a 2200kv motor)
Is there any way I can get an updated list of materials? most of the links on here seem to no longer work. I built the body of the plane about a year ago, and I just want to get it flying.
I am trying to build this plane but I wanna use the electronics of an old toy plane and this plane hasn't got ports where I can plug in the servos. How can I make it like made in the video?
what power pack do we use.
Anyone who made this using the free plans? I searched for all the used materials, but i have problems getting mine airborn. I have the feeling mine is to heavy deu to the battery. How heavy are your planes and what gear are you using? Greets
What was the battery used in this?
What power pack does this youse
does this also work with foamboard???
And if the plane is glued together from cut plastic bottles, then it will be transparent and invisible.
Could @Flite Test Tech please post a new link to the battery? The link isnt working.
What’s the CG for this plane?
Which remote to use
Can i use a 3s battery??
