It’s tragic Ford are discontinuing the Focus. I’ve owned 3 generations of Focus and loved each one. Might have to look elsewhere for my next car.
Yeah America has had to deal with a lack of hatchback options for years, the euro market will know our pain soon unfortunately.

It was planned like that. But it was considered too complicated, too expensive to make and sell. Nobody would pay Audi RS3 money for a Ford Focus.

Still a pleasure to see a clean mk1 Focus on the road. What a fantastic design. Sad to see the Focus go. I have no need or desire for a Ford Escape or Kuga or whatever your SUV equivalent is. I hope one day I can buy a new Ford fun hatchback to replace my Fiesta.

US viewer and I still miss the Focus ST being sold here, looks like Europe is unfortunately up next. It’s not about giving what the consumer wants, it’s about selling what makes them the most money even at the expense of the consumer.

@mugenmark I think this 280bhp focus current mode isl good but prices are stupid. I paid 27000gbp for a 2015 pre oder with every extra going. How are these 40k plus? All electric which is worse seem to be 50k plus for something half decent. I'm stinking to my wife's 2012 fiesta. 60k miles and nothing wrong with her at all. I looked at an s max st line. Ford are selling new for 43k with a CD PLAYER hahaha. Pure golden that is

You need to bring, AT LEAST, 50 units of these to South Africa. They will all sell despite what Ford SA thought, better than lying about fuel quality when we have 95RON and a host of other hot hatches not complaining about fuel quality.

Great looking car, iv had a couple of ST's and they where great but the interior, stop putting infotainment screens on top of the dash like an afterthought. Looks awful. Integrate the damb things for a smoother and smarter looking interior.
Depressing I will only ever get to see this on the internet and not in real life. We are losing hot hatchbacks and real sports sedans to inflation and SUVs. My generation will be known as the saddest generation for all of the joys we've lost.🚗🚗🚗
Sorry. Have to disagree on the inflation part. It's got nothing to do with inflation. This type of car shot up in price virtually over night. Just like the Fiesta ST. Before the pandemic and the big EV and SUV one model to rule them all push they were affordable. Purely and simply they don't want us to be able to own this type of car anymore. Certainly not your blue collar worker anyway. So they increase the price, drop the number being built and then have the audacity to say no one wants them anymore. It's completely by design

I am lucky to have had a Focus ST pack track in black since last month. It is an outstanding car. I dare say that at the level of the S3 or A35. I don't understand how it doesn't have the success it deserves, being considerably cheaper. Of course, it is not because of Ford's good work. People are assholes. They should read more Huxley 😜

Nice but paying that extortionate amount extra above a track pack just for the blue/black paint and stitching is ludicrous
According to the Ford UK configurator.... Focus ST Edition (includes blue paint, driver assist pack, KW coilovers, lightweight alloys) = £42'905 Focus ST (£37'705) + Mean Green (£800) + Driver Assist Pack (£550) + Track Pack (£3000) = £42'055 When you compare like-for-like spec level, you're only actually paying an extra £850 list price for lightweight alloys and upgraded KW coilovers.....that's not that bad to be fair. Definitely not "extortionate", especially by the time that's worked out to a monthly PCP payment - probably only an extra £20-25 a month or so (£850 / 36 months = £23.61). Other companies have charged more for special editions that are nothing more than just a few badges & stickers.....
