It was established that Jessica recognized potential, since she picked up Harvey from the mailroom, paid for his very expensive education, and he became her right hand man who helped her rise to the top and made her firm a fortune. She knew Louis was absolutely not to be trusted or given any significant authority, since the one semblance of authority he had over the associates, he used it to abuse and torment them. • At 5:03, you can see Louis' expression as a slightly off-putting smile, but over the next 10 seconds, you see his expression slowly change into a more passive aggressive state. That's when the audience knows he is completely confident in his accusation, demonstrating how great Rick Hoffman is.

He was self-conscient when he compaired himself to them, he knows now they 're in no way better than him, to say the least. Because now their betrayal prevent him from mixing up sentiments and ambition. Because he now has leverage over them to get what he always professionally wanted and he 's ready to take advantage from this turn of event. Great performance, directing, producing and writing.
