This is the all-new Range Rover!
Now on first impressions, you might think the new Range Rover isn’t that different to the previous generation… And you’d be right! Apart from a few minor exterior upgrades, it looks exactly the same. Not only that, but both the interior and back seats are basically identical to the old model!
But there's one key change you can't see from the outside... It's a hybrid!
So you’re probably wondering what you actually get for your £89,000? Well even as a hybrid the 2,600kg Range Rover can still perform, putting down 404hp and 640Nm of torque! Not only that, but now it’s a hybrid, it’s claimed it can achieve 84mpg!

Hey Mat, from when I tried this car, the rear seats took a while to fold down because the front seats moved first to give some room!
The seats were taking a while to fold as it had to move the front seats forward to clear the rear headrests.

it's a common issue that the rear seats aren't folding as they should... it's a Range Rover, what are you expecting? :D
@Do One Absolutely not. Every single one, from PDI onwards has them act seperately.

By the way, the seats pause for a moment when folding down to allow the front seats to move forwards and out of the way of the rear headrests. Keep the button held down, and it will continue.

Folding seats stop half way to move the front seats forward before continuing - same as previous models like mine...
I’ve got the Sport Hybrid, great car but as he said you must charge it to get maximum economy and performance.
The 5.0v8 supercharged is a ball to drive! I’ve owned 5 rovers, loved them all, currently in a 2018 supercharged v8 big body, love them!
@FatboiGamering not rich at all lol, they have been great except for one which was a 2013 with 70k miles and I had to do the timing chain. Otherwise others had 0 issues

@@Ocean-blvd. I buy all my cars, by rent do you mean lease the vehicle? Like a 2 year term? Lease is good if your only using is for 2 years, using it for a business in order to get some tax deductions, which would make up the difference end of the year because payments would be high on a lease. If you get one a few years old, I’d say buy Forsure, they’ve went back up in value and are going to continue to rise and hold value for few more years.

The seats in the RR do fold seamlessly and without hassle. Mat perhaps didn't notice that the front seats move forward first to allow space for the headrest when the seats are lowered flat.

Hi Mat, love your reviews, best on the net by far. Btw the rear seats were not folding for a bit coz the system was moving the front seats to fold them rear properly without causing any damage. It took me a while to understand as well.

The seats were working, they just stopped folding because it was moving the front seats forward to make enough room. You can see the drivers seat moving forward slightly at the start.
@Do One Tf is your problem? If you watch the drivers seat closely, you'll see it move forward to make room for the rear seats to fold down. There is absolutely no reason to be a dickhead. And yeah, JLR are known for their problems, I'm not some blindsided fanboy, I'm just simply stating a fact of how the seat folding mechanism works.

When lowering The rear seats it moves the front driver and passenger seats forward first... hence the delay Matt-
Honestly I love this generation of range Rovers and I really don't want land rover changing the design of their cars.

@@MKRM27 No one owns a Range Rover. Most are on business lease, or finance. The surveys are not wrong. As Matt and ma y others state - JLR reliability had always been poor.
Its is a known fact that RR reliability is pretty shocking...infact the company itself has admitted this in the past.
Its actually really good like any range rover...

Rear seats fold, they get to a point of fold where they stop to allow the front seats to get out of the way, they then continue to flat fold. You need the headrests down often to get them rear seats all the way down
A brand new Range Rover and the Folding Seat doesnt work the first time... and nobody is suprised about that
I know I’m like four months late, but I think the reason they stopped was maybe because the front seats have to move forward slightly to make room for the head rest as the seats fold down. I know that it happens at least in the discovery so it might be the same for the Range Rover. I think there’s a part of the video where you can hear a little bit of a whirring while the backseats aren’t moving which I think might be the front seats moving
I have a 2020 full size Range Rover and the front seats move up a bit before the back seats can go down. So, there was nothing wrong with the seats in the video.

Well, it’s definitely the most dignified SUV. Not some inflated hatchback, but built as a luxury off road vehicle with a proper four wheel drive system. Yes, yes, reliability, and so on… apparently depending on the driver from what I’ve heard.

Got the Sport P400e same drive train as the one in the video and it's very impressive. As long as its got charge, it'll easily do 150mpg and when it runs out then 24-30 depending on how you drive. Lots of punch from the engine too, if you put it in dynamic mode it bolts off the line a lot faster as the engine is ready to kick in. Trying to find out whether it's exempt from congestion charge though! anybody know?

If there's anything that depreciates faster than a new Range Rover, I haven't encountered it. Tearing up £50 notes would be better value!
Tearing 50 pounds wow how long would that take
7 series, S Class, A8. £40,000 depreciation pretty much after 2 years and 20k miles or so. Probably half that for the Vogue as they are still 60k vs 30k for the Germans.
Range Rovers depreciate less than the german competitors. And oh btw every normal car depreciates did you know that?
