Your other iron farm seems to be broken on realms. It used to work but it has stopped. Iron golems are still spawning in our trading hall though, and it’s 100 blocks away so it shouldn’t be interfering with the iron farm.
Can i build it on my current trading hall, or i might have linking issues?
If i wanted to build two or four in my base area, how much block do they have to be far from each (how far should iron farms be from each others in one area without breaking

Not quite "build anywhere" because the nether is a thing and no water. Great tutorial mate!
Here’s what I do: Once you find a village, collect all the beds put them in the biggest house. Once at least 2 villagers are in there, block the door so they’re safe, then get rid of any other workstations around the village, including barrels and cauldrons. Then put the bed portion of the farm in. You can either replace the walls with workstations and keep feeding them until you have 20 adult working villagers. No breeder or minecart rails needed. Probably the easiest way for early game. Peaceful mode also doesn’t turn off achievements so use it if you’re worried about mobs destroying your hard work.
Does this mean you don’t need to move the villagers to below or on the sides of three farm? like do you just keep them in that one house forever?

@@nmezalfie I usually make walls where the leaf blocks are and the bottom is open so they all run around and have access to their workstations. It just turns into part of the underneath where the collection is. I basically build the farm on top of the house or right next to it for ease of moving them.

@@RandoAkks Pretty much, I never go beyond the leaf border as my edge but it’s all open underneath.
Always a good idea to build a mob farm of some sort over the top - lets your kill chamber and collection system do extra duty while you trade with the villagers in your trading hall below. If you keep it ground level and have your villagers underneath and well protected, you can also use this as a raid farm where the raiders end up entering the killing floor trying to get over the villagers down below.
I've actually seen zombies and husks walked right in the killing area with the farm on the ground. I though of starting a raid but was too afraid id f up and lose all the villagers,so i never tried.😂
@@MineCraft-nz9pg If you have a flush entry, you will get various hostile mobs wondering in - sometimes in pursuit of the golems. If you are going to do a raid, just make sure that ever villager cell is closed and every villager is standing on a torch. That way they can't spawn in the cells with the villagers and can't get to them either. I've got a trading hall / raid farm built as a boat out on a lake (to limit the raid spawns, I had hoped, to the aft deck of the boat to move forward into the deck (which is the water funnel into the lava blade that is concealed under the mast). Unfortunately, while the villager cells are safe, no amount of mobproofing has kept them from sometimes spawning in the trading hall below decks, on the "spawnproof" fore deck, or even sometimes directly in the water. If you have one flush on land you should be okay - but there is always the chance that the raid spawns in some tiny, isolated cave and you either time out or have to hunt for ages to find all the mobs.
Going to consider this day 1 of this year’s advent tutorial series. Can’t wait to see the others.
this design would also explain why the iron farm an old world my spouse and i had rediscovered from 1.16 still worked perfectly.

Then, my kids started playing and showed me what was possible and now I'm hooked! This farm is working well with 10 villagers and I plan on adding 10 more to see if I can up my rates a little. 😊

Always love to see these updates. I always think of the way Bedrock villagers link to work stations as “the dibs system”. There’s always one villager who has dibs on the next work station and the particles help you figure out whose turn it is.
yeah basically:) all the villagers are in a list, villager at the top of the list is the next one to link. problem is that list gets shuffled all the time 😂
@@silentwispererthis! I wish they’d do something about it (if that’s even possible). I can’t count how many times I’ve had a villager unlink from a work station only to link to one they can’t get to rendering trades impossible. Beds too.
I don't like how in survival they just sometimes go get a job at another place and just don't change when I delete it
Holy sh*t. I’m not going crazy. Farm stopped working a while ago and I was certain it was because the were randomly unlinking and relinking to different workstations but I thought… nah. Couldn’t be. There’s no Minecraft logic behind that. No one seemed to have any videos on it; nothing in comments. I actually got so frustrated that I had to put MC down for a couple months and played other stuff. Now I’m back and so damn grateful to have found an explanation and to find out I was f*cking right! Thanks Silent and OP!
An easy way to get all the villagers are to just bring two, give them lots of carrots or potatoes, and they will breed to the maximum number of beds. Don’t have to worry about having more villagers than beds.

@@AGoodName_. still 100 times easier and faster than trying to move 40 villagers accross your Minecraft world. I usually get the beds set and bring 2 villagers in and then finish building the farm and decorate it. By that time, most of them are already grown up. You might have to cull a few nitwits but especially on Bedrock, it takes no time at all!
@@ghale91281 I have done that way to it works okay but sometimes the villagers would glitch out and escape, then when my friend and I would explore the island there would be a random villager outside.
What if , someone put bed nearby farm , villagers will detect it and they will breed because they already have enough food to breed
If half your beds turn invisible randomly (which breaks the farm) use this workaround: break those invisible beds, put them directly underneath the farm on the same side they were above, in a single row, at the same Y as the chest and hopper, on top slabs. Build a slab walkway around them, and a ladder leading up to that walkway. The beds can still turn invisible when everyone exits the realm, but this way it's quick and easy to break and replace the invisible beds, which fixes the farm for that session. Hopefully the bug is fixed at some point - until then this is the best method I've found for a quick fix. Be sure to point the beds towards the centre (campfire) as they were above, except now they're in a single flat row on the top slabs, no complex block arrangement for placing or replacing them.
Which slabs are we placing the beds on top of? And if the beds that break were on different y axis then do we still place them in a row???
I haven’t had to break any beds when mine freezes. I just off one villager and they usually make a new baby to replace him, and that has fixed it for me anytime it pauses production.
The “beds going invisible” is a glitch that they just patched!!! It was when beds were on chunk boarders and going invisible. So now you shouldn’t have this problem any more!!
Gotta say @silentwisperer your farms are the best I've found. Have already built 3 and they work great. Love the vids keep up the good work.
I just finished this in bedrock 1.20. I had to move main villager to on top of beds in the middle and its works as expected. Thanks silent and all in comments of who said to move that first villager.

Hey, just for clarification, is the trading hall below the iron farm and alternative to having fletchers at the corners?
You only need one villager at one corner to be able to see the beds. Doesn’t matter what his profession is but I always add him as the first villager so I can link his workstation and be done with him. Then I add 2 villagers underneath with 19 workstations and breed them in the collection area until all of them have a job. Off any extras that are greencoats or don’t have a workstation. You don’t want ‘extra’ villagers without a bed or it will stop golems from spawning. I just went through the process of offing my farmers a few at a time and replacing them with toolsmiths, armorers, and weaponsmiths to be able to trade iron for emeralds and emeralds for diamond stuff. 5 armorers, 5 weaponsmiths, 5 toolsmiths, and 4 librarians pretty much gives you everything you need. I was able to get a Mending villager in 4 rerolls.

Ok so this took a bit to actually get working, but, it does work very well. I had to build a number of extra beds (more than 20) granted I tried my own villager trading area below and it's not super fancy (survival and I'm just trying to get stuff). I have a dedicated server if you would be willing to drop in and look around and give advice I'd appreciate it. Keep in mind this server is a week old so nothing is pretty even in the slightest.

I'm having issues with linking the workstations, i used barrels instead and only a few linked and most of the time the barrel would sparkle but none of the villagers would. Any help?
probably check the other holes to see if the villagers get that sparkle ✨
Hello 👋 Silent a question, do you have a tutorial for an automatic concrete maker for Minecraft bedrock?
they don't really exist on bedrock. best way i've found is to make a + shape pillar of 4 columns, and drop water down the middle to convert them all lol
I made a manual one in my world that I think is easier than stacking and pouring water down it. It's basically a 2 block deep pool where you put the concrete on the bottom, then mine it up. Water fills back in automatically.

@@altamash_rayeenso I haven’t tried building this yet, but I’ve seen other iron farm videos where they say to tame at least 5 cats and sit them close enough to the villagers that they won’t spawn any more cats! (I don’t know about the linking system issue tho, sorry)

Hi Silent! I just built your farm and there are no iron golems spawning. I watched your troubleshooting video and everything was ok but still no iron golems were spawning. I do have a raid farm within 100 blocks of the iron farm with a villager and a bed, could this be a reason there is no iron golems spawning, any ideas? I watch all of your videos and do almost every tutorial but am just very confused right now?
I’m also having trouble with spawning iron golems:( I just emptied the village I put it next to but no luck (edit: ended up breaking this farm down and using another one, tried to fix it but it just wasn’t having it)

I was testing it in a super flat world to make sure it worked in that version. And it’s approved 😎👍
If you're going to put the villagers in pods, then you need 2 different workstations of 10, otherwise they can try to link with other pod. That means you have to trade with each one to make sure they don't change professions. It's also much more simpler to just have 4 villagers first and place down a 2 workstations in each pod so they walk to them themselves.

just to be clear, you could use slabs or stairs instead of leaves right? aslong as mobs are not able to spawn on them
on one edge, my beds disappear when i log off, this breaks my iron farm and i have to replace those beds by breaking the invisible beds and replacing them, how do i fix it?

You need twenty beds, not ten, even if there's only ten villager's. Make sure they are all working at their station every day. I just got this farm working so it definitely does still work, you just have to fiddle with it a lot. I gave the guy who sits at the corner a work station as well.

So if i have a 'villager trading hall' (a room with a dozen villaers/beds/workstations) can i just build this above it and it will work?
Couple of questions. Is the spawn rate once this farm is completed consistently 2 at a time spawning or is it periodically 2 but will always have 1? Currently I get 1 spawning and dying at least 2 to 4 times before then 2 spawn for around 2/3 time before it goes back to 1 spawning? Does the single villager who detects the beds need to see the beds or can they be enclosed by leaves? Mines is built over the ocean so does that affect it at all? I know quite a lot of fish spawn in it so not sure if that will affect it. Thanks
I give up! It doesn't seem to work on our MC Bedrock Realm. I tried the troubleshooting, made sure villagers are linked and can reach the workstations and I placed the beds again to make sure villagers are linking to the beds. I built in on a village and trapped 10 and 5 villagers in 2 corner holes. There are cats spawning outside the farm but no sign of iron golems :( Anyway, this is a great tutorial
It works on realms, its probably just a linking issue. make sure theres no other beds/bells/workstations/villagers in the area that could be causing issues and watch the trouble shooting video in the pinned comment
@@silentwisperer I noticed a chunk of the beds in the farm appear to vanish when I logged back in, but I can still click on them like a chunk loading issue, do you think this contributes to the link being broken?
@@silentwisperer I did it, the farm finally worked! A very big thank you! I rewatched the video again, and It turns out there were 2 villagers living at the end of the village, so they accidentally stepped on lava. I relinked the beds again and viola, cats begin to spawn in the farm! Although no iron golems yet. I checked the troubleshooting video to see if I am missing anything. Relinked the workstations like 3 more times while I recounted how many villagers I have in the pods, then waited for golems to spawn but still nothing. Rewatched the troubleshooting video and as a last resort I re-placed the beds again like the 4th time, making sure the linked particles show up on every bed, and after placing the 19th bed an iron golem appeared! The bed vanishing seems like just a graphical bug and does not affect the farm... yet. EDIT: ok, the graphic bug definitely affects the villagers and causing them to unlink to those beds, as the iron golem stops spawning whenever it happens, and right after I fix those beds, the golem starts immediately spawning.

I just built this underground in my survival realm and we got 3 golems to spawn but then it stopped working do you know how I could fix this issue I have a villager that can view the beds then 20 villagers set up in a trading hall underneath the farm

THANK YOU!!! I put my beds below the farm (where my villagers are) so that they could see the beds. Made sure all the beds “sparkled” and it FINALLY started spawning iron golems. This needs more thumbs’ up
Ps5 player here, how come iron golems aren’t spawning? I have them set up along the wall of the farm with jobs for all of them with all of the beds set up right and everything but nothing has spawned after an hour

Moved villager from the corner, moved beds under the farm, relinked all the villagers next to their station, 20 villagers and beds, 100 + blocks from any beds or stations, above an ocean by 8 blocks and made of slabs. Leaves on the edges and nothing 😂 even watched the trouble shooting video for help.
I’ve build this farm exactly as it says in the video but my iron golems are spawning 10-15 blocks outside the farm so the villagers have to be in a 1 block hole or is it ok to give them abit if room?
not sure if this is the cause of my issue but putting it out there, when choosing the location of the farm pls make sure your beds don't get into different spawning chunks. build the farm 2 days ago, broke down two times so far by having beds visually disappearing stopping golems from spawning, had to go and take out the beds that were influenced and place them back again. Its not a big issue u can replace them withing 5-10 minutes if u are slow like me but maybe better check with chunk borders before building it to avoid this mino bug issue
I got iron golems for abt 8 minutes and now the only thing spawning is cats

@@sotjns90eui never could get it to work right for me rebuilt it twice in the same village no go only cats but then i modified it to more closely match how i have built iron farms in the past by moving the beds under the farm and it now works like a charm been cranking out stakes of iron for weeks now

I’ve been having a couple issues. I believe it is because I built the floor out of moss; I’m still working things out. It seems ravagers are destroying my leaf roof and this time I came back to find my entire floor gone in the killing chamber. It seems ravagers can destroy moss? But only sometimes, because the farm worked for like 3 hours then all of a sudden water is cascading down into the afk area?

Please help silent. How does the extra "linking" villager work? I had to make mine a nitwit (which you said was fine) but i dont think he's extending the "village" far enough for all the beds because only the bottom row of beds are linking. The rest aren't. Do i need to move my villager trading area up higher? they're 5 blocks bellow the water. from the linking villager to the closest trading villager its only 4 or 5 blocks from feet to head height.

Say for example I start my farm with 10 villagers and later on I get enough to complete the 20 will it affect the farm or will it mess it up to where I have to start over?
Can you build a second layer on top for extra iron? If you just copy the exact same build but higher? How would you link the beds?
You can build a sumpile iorn farm. All you have to do is to build a 5 by 6 hole that is 8 down. You place the 10-20 beds get two villagers breed them. Wait to get 10-20 villagers iorn golems should start to farm. Also place alot of leaves around your spawner or iorn golems might spaan out.
2/28/2024 tested on Xbox and works perfect. I'm getting iron stacks for days thanks man I've tried 3 different iron farms so far and this is the only one that has worked.
I realized earlier what I did wrong. In the trading hall I made under the farm, all the villagers were linking to each others work stations rather than the one in front of them. So I removed all the work stations, set them down one at a time to determine what villager was linking up to it, and brought that work station to the correct villager. Before I even finished doing this, the golems were spawning!

If you are having the problem with only cats spawning try breaking one bed and placing it back down. I was having the same issues but after I did that its been working since.

I have a question about biomes that snow instead of rain because every time I tried building an iron farm in an area that snows I’ve never seen an iron spawn, everywhere else it works
I just started building the quad iron farm. the video title says 1.20. In this video you said 2 platforms does nothing. does that break the quad farm?

Is it possible to put like 4 of these next to each other, or would the “villages” overlap?
I don't know if this is required but I had 30+ villagers in a trading hall so I added a bed for each to the farm. I also had to move the detecting villager further up so it would see all beds.
Having over 20 works then? 👀

@@waqik9716 it works, I have even seen 3 golems at the same time at a few occasions (very rare)
To fix my iron farm when it stopped based on some comments: Move the corner "watcher" villager into the center of the beds with a slab under him (in a minecart) and throw it a piece of food or trade with another villager if the farm stops spawning golems. Hope this helps someone like it helped me.
