The judges can say No for so many reasons.
The opening with trio with their mom was awesome, its their comfort zone. Going solo, they lost that confidence & support. I can see them as a group like little big town & the judds with more work & built in confidence when they have to fly solo.

I love how Jacy has a soft-pillow voice and how Mia is like clean air. Hard to explain. But I hear it in their own individual sound.

Loved seeing the two sisters on this show! Both have improved. Jacy has lots of potential and I loved the song choice for her. I can see her going far if she keeps improving throughout. She's a great storyteller. And I loved Mia tonight! She brought the right amount of emotions and power. She's improved a lot and proved that she's ready for this. She also brought the right amount of grit to the song. Loved it.

I was just listening to their voices and not nitpicking,and both sounded beautiful. I was drawn more to Mia's voice which was clear and crispier sounding than her sister's, but both have a chance to do really well in the competition.
Loved them on the voice love them as a group, as Solo artists I see Mia going far I hope they both do good!
If you havent seen the opening song with mama & the sisters, you should! My word as a trio, the 3 of you have something & its where the magic is! Family has a way with group bands, a special dynamic. My advice to the sisters, hold onto the confidence & comfort from the trio in your solos. You have a gift both ways, trust in it!

MRS. MIA wow! That “just to climb a thousand walls” riff and that “there’s no place” riff are literally two of my favorite moments of any singer that has sung this season! Were we listening to the same audition?! Not every vocalist has to be loud and in your face in my opinion. Those comments were insane, what were they all smoking… I think they are both incredible vocalists! Both of there tones are so pleasing to the ear and so so soulful! They both have range and the sound cuts through so well! The first sister had so much soul mixed twang. To me, she was more unpolished and uncontrolled in spots than the second sister, but still so so amazing! She has the goods to be great! Katy respectfully was right with disagreeing with Lionel because I was so drawn to everything Mia gave! Holy cow, Mia is one of my favorite vocalist so far! She could be on the radio right now! That tone is everything! Every choice she made was better than next! She would do these runs up and then do this yodel and then sit right in the middle of the note and vibrate on the note so expertly! Every facet of her voice is so pleasing, where she is in her chest or belting! She’s a beast and she really feels the emotion! I could listen to her voice all day! She’s incredible! Idk why Luke felt as if he needed more grit. That’s not her voice, I felt the grit in the emotion she brought!! Idk why but Mia reminds me of Megan from last year with the rasp! I think she has that story teller thing in the cry and the way her cuts through in her mix!
For me, they're both sound really good.
Just remember that at the end of the day you are sisters & you are clearly very close, DON'T LET THIS COMPETITION RUIN THAT!! No matter what the outcome continue to support each other!

Actually, I agreed with both Luke and Katie. Both girls are talented and have good singing voices, but they lacked energy. I totally got the "timid" comment. I think they did right to vote them both in, but also giving them correct commentary/advice necessary to go further in the competition.
It's so cool seeing them audition for AI. I was a fan of them when they were on The Voice!
The second one will be a great singer, I bet.
I think they're stars in the making, Beautiful voices. I can overlook the timid at this audition because this is a big step to be on national TV in front of 3 big stars at their age. They definitely have the voice to go far. And Kelly Pickler was shy at 1st but she became a known Country singer and is still in the business.
Beautiful voices, both young ladies, would love to hear a duet. They are talented, the confidence will come. Also think the song choice was a timid one

They sang well. Mia was better than Jacy but they didn’t stand out. Maybe this competition will teach them to stand out more.

To be the winner of American Idol is not just having a good voice on one song or two songs. They must have a persistent performance during the shows, the right song's choice and also and must have a strong mentally. A lot of them may not have the best voice in one song, but who knows, they probably will have a better voice in another song if they still have the opportunity. Everyone still have a chance to be the winner...

I was feeling Jacy was pitchy (prob nerves) and Mia was a little more advanced. But both aren’t quite ready yet and I feel will get oversung in Hollywood. Need some vocal training with Ms Cheryl. ❤
